I used Ittoku for lunch for the first time. The nigiri sushi was priced at 860 yen, which felt like a throwback to the Showa era! The owner was handling everything alone. And the service was quick - I received my nigiri just 5 minutes after entering, followed by miso soup a minute later. The nigiri consisted of 2 pieces of tuna, as well as horse mackerel, scallop, shrimp, white fish, tamagoyaki, and kanpyo maki, all on slightly sweet vinegared rice with a good amount of powdered wasabi. The quality of the ingredients and the combination of vinegared rice and powdered wasabi reminded me of the sushi delivery services from the Showa era. The price of 860 yen also felt like a blast from the past. The miso soup, which had a rich shrimp head broth, was delicious.

The premium 2,400 yen seemed cheap, so I ordered 1.5 servings. It ended up costing 3,700 yen, which is 1.5 times the original amount. The sushi had a lot of tuna, and the tamagoyaki tasted delicious with a hint of dashi. However, the rice was too moist, making it heavy and lacking air between the grains. The wasabi was strong, almost overpowering, and the vinegar smell was quite intense. Overall, except for the tamagoyaki, all the sushi tasted the same. I'm not sure if it was really the vinegar smell or if my taste buds were off. I finished everything out of a sense of not wanting to waste, but I don't plan on returning. Perhaps it was just an off day for the restaurant.

I came to Iriya on November 9, 2021. I worked in the morning and met my mom in the heavy rain. Today is Tori no Ichi (Rooster Market). I used to come here every year for my brother's shop, but it's the first time I've experienced such bad weather. I quickly visited the shrine, bought a rake and a seal, and had lunch. The restaurant I wanted to go to had a long line due to the bad weather, so I decided to try another place. I ordered the special Giri Shirako (milt) Ponzu Highball. My mom and I shared it. First, cheers with the highball! It's been about a year since I had alcohol. The carbonation is weak, like a whiskey highball, but it's rich and delicious. The fresh shirasu (whitebait) appetizer was small but sticky and tasty. The Shirako Ponzu included cod milt, seaweed, cucumber, and grated radish. The milt had a rich and creamy texture without any fishy taste, and the grated radish added a nice kick. The sushi set included tuna, shrimp, squid, flounder, sea urchin, herring roe, negitoro roll, and tamagoyaki. I tried the tuna, herring roe, negitoro roll, and tamagoyaki, and the fish was decent. However, the rice was a problem. It was too soft, like it's meant for elderly people. Not recommended. The wasabi also had a strange chemical smell. Overall, the sake and shirako were delicious, so it's a shame about the sushi. I might not recommend sushi at this restaurant.

It's been a while since my last visit!! Recently, I've been sneaking out for lunch after my daughter falls asleep, but I really wanted to have shirako ponzu and ankimo at that time... \( ö )/ I ended up going while my daughter was awake. I ordered shirako ponzu [¥800] and ankimo [¥700], and also got a single serving of nigiri [¥860]. I was seated at a table, but as expected, my daughter wanted to touch everything and was restless, unable to focus on eating at all. The staff (a motherly figure) kindly said, "Well, she wants to touch things, right? It can't be helped!" and entertained her, which was a relief ^ω^ The warm tea was delicious!! The single serving of nigiri was just the right amount! Haha, it seemed even more delicious than last time ♡ The kanpyo roll had a strong, enjoyable flavor like alcohol. I was looking forward to the ankimo and shirako ponzu. The ankimo was rich, creamy, and smooth - just perfect! \(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ As for the shirako ponzu... unfortunately, it had a strong smell. Hopefully, it was just a one-time thing (╥_╥)

I happened to come across this shop by chance!! It's a bit of a walk from Exit 3 of Iriya Station, about 5.6 minutes away in a residential area. I spotted a lunch sign!! Sushi set for one person is 860 yen, and for one and a half persons is 1290 yen... Isn't that cheap!? Σ(゚∀゚ノ)ノ I couldn't help but go in. The interior of the shop is spacious with a calm and reassuring atmosphere. There are about 6 seats on the left side and a counter on the right side. The master, who seemed kind and petite, was running the shop all by himself. I ordered the sushi set for one and a half persons, and it arrived quickly! I like the tea and teacup that are served at sushi restaurants! The appearance may lack a bit of vibrancy due to the similar colors, but the taste was quite good. I especially enjoyed the scallop and egg (´ε` ) The soy sauce was on the salty side. Although there weren't many of my favorite sushi toppings, for this price ♥, I have no complaints. The miso soup with shrimp was simple but had a good dashi flavor and was delicious!

Today's lunch was at a sushi restaurant in town. The lunch prices displayed outside the shop seem affordable. A serving of nigiri sushi is 830 yen. A serving and a half of nigiri is 1290 yen. The lunch prices are more reasonable compared to dinner. I ordered a serving and a half of nigiri. Here is what arrived. It came with miso soup made with shrimp broth. The assortment included tuna x3, yellowtail, sea bream, octopus, horse mackerel, surf clam, shrimp, egg, and gourd roll. A total of 10 pieces plus a roll. The octopus and surf clam were so-so, the shrimp was average, but the tuna, yellowtail, and sea bream were delicious. They were fatty and tasty. It's a step above the usual sushi. Also, I personally felt that the wasabi was a bit too strong. The sushi rice was on the smaller side but firm, so it surprisingly filled me up. My stomach feels satisfied now. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at 11:30 am on a regular day and was the first one there. I ordered the sushi set for 1.5 people for 1290 yen. I was planning on having a parfait afterwards, so I hesitated between ordering one portion or a smaller portion, but ended up ordering the regular size. When the food arrived, I was surprised. It looked delicious! I enjoyed everything. I usually don't like shellfish, but the ones here were tasty. The scallops were sweet and delicious. (I know scallops are shellfish, but I like them. lol) Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again!

This day, I visited a sushi restaurant recommended by an acquaintance. The restaurant had a small blackboard outside with the daily recommended items and prices listed, making it easy for new customers to enter. The interior had a classic sushi restaurant atmosphere with an L-shaped counter and several tables in the tatami room. We ordered the following items: - Kirin Ichiban Shibori draft beer (medium size) for 630 yen - Assorted sashimi platter including fatty tuna, flounder, amberjack, squid, octopus, scallop, red snapper, horse mackerel, salmon, ark shell, and mirugai. The sashimi was fresh and not watery, costing over 10,000 yen for four people. - Gouhourairaku sweet potato shochu bottle for 3,890 yen, with a sweet yet powerful taste. - Negitoro roll for 1,580 yen, with smooth-textured fatty tuna and well-prepared sushi rice. - Baked scallop gratin for 730 yen, with scallops baked in white sauce and cheese, offering a rich and flavorful taste. Visiting a sushi restaurant recommended by a trusted friend was a satisfying experience, as finding a good sushi restaurant in one's own city can be time-consuming and costly. Joining a gourmet friend on a culinary adventure to a delicious sushi restaurant is not a bad idea at all.

It is located a 5-6 minute walk from Iriya Station. There are about 10 seats at the counter and a tatami room in the back. It feels like a sushi restaurant for the common people with a wide variety of izakaya menu items. They had posters up, so I think you can eat horse sashimi all year round. I had a glass of sake, sashimi, five pieces of sushi, and one roll for just over 3000 yen. The sashimi was close to 1000 yen, so I think the sushi was reasonably priced for what you get. The marinated tuna is made to order, and although they said it would take about 10 minutes, it came out sooner. The marination was to my liking. I have been staying in this area more often on my recent Tokyo business trips, so I would like to come back again.

I went with a friend and tried the nigiri set for 1050 yen, which is a reasonable price. The premium set is 2420 yen, so it's affordable. I told them my budget and dislikes, and let them choose the sushi for me. The tofu served as an appetizer was rich and delicious. The miso soup that came as a "service" had a great flavor. As for the nigiri, they were all good. The mackerel was not too sour, making it easy to eat. The rolled sushi with gourd strips was just right, not too sweet. It's a different taste from high-end sushi, more like a commoner's taste. I felt that the sushi rice wasn't too vinegary. It might be a matter of personal preference. I'd like to try their lunch menu if I have the chance.
