I walked from Hankyu Nishikyogoku Station and arrived here. I have visited this place twice before, both times when it was "Pako Pako," but this time it has been about 9 years since my last visit. This time, I finally came to try the Takaida-style ramen, which was not available before. It was just before 9:00 at night, with no other customers when I arrived, and only two customers came after me. I ordered the Takaida-style ramen as planned. When the bowl arrived, my first impression was that the bowl was quite large even for the regular size. The soup looked rich and there was a good amount of oil on the surface. The soup was pitch black, and the flavor of pepper was quite noticeable. When I took the first sip, I found that the Takaida "style" was not as spicy as I expected, but rather on the sweeter side, with a deep umami flavor. The noodles were medium-thick straight noodles, not as thick as I thought, with a smooth surface. The chashu was thinly sliced, and although it looked like one piece, there were actually two slices hidden inside the noodles. The other toppings were menma, green onions, keeping it simple. The appearance reminded me a bit of Shinpuku, and the taste was somewhat reminiscent of Marusho's shoyu ramen. Overall, it was quite addictive, and I finished every drop of the soup, leaving me completely satisfied.

Today's dinner was at "Ramen Sobo Pako" in Nishikyo-goku. I decided to go there after seeing it on Yocchan's dad's stories. I ordered the "Takaida-style Shoyu Ramen" and the "Super Niboshi Shoyu Ramen". First, I tried the Takaida-style ramen. The soup is a rich soy sauce base with chicken broth. It's delicious, but is this what Takaida-style ramen tastes like? The noodles are slightly chewy medium-thick straight noodles. The toppings are chashu, bamboo shoots, and lots of chopped green onions. And there's plenty of pepper sprinkled on top by default. The chashu is thinly sliced and easy to eat. Next, I tried the "Super Niboshi Shoyu Ramen". The soup is not too strong, just the right amount of niboshi flavor. The seasoning is soy sauce. The noodles are the same as before. The toppings are chashu, bamboo shoots, lots of chopped green onions, and seaweed. I'm full now. Thank you for the meal. Takaida-style Shoyu Ramen 4.1, Super Niboshi Shoyu Ramen 4.1

I visited the restaurant after 9 pm and parked my car in the parking lot across the street. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu, but the recommended "Super Niboshi Ramen" was sold out, so I decided to try the "Special Miso Ramen" (800 yen). The bowl was topped with menma, chopped green onions, and hidden underneath was chashu, with a sprinkling of red pepper on top. The soup was a clear chicken and pork broth with a fragrant and slightly sour miso flavor, along with a spicy kick from the red pepper and a well-balanced saltiness. The noodles were curly and chewy, with a nice bounce and good texture that paired well with the soup. The chashu was cubed and well-seasoned, blending nicely with the soup. I was initially surprised by the sourness, but as I continued eating, I found it had a fruity undertone that made it delicious.

I arrived at the restaurant before 8 pm on Saturday. The manager, who was very kind and cute, provided excellent customer service. The salt ramen was light and delicious! The Takaida soy sauce ramen had a rich broth that was so good I drank it all. I forgot to take a picture of the fried rice, but I was mesmerized by the manager's skillful cooking in the pan. The fried rice was delicious! I had a very pleasant dining experience and would love to go back. The manager seemed to be working hard on his own, so I hope he takes care of his health. Please give this place a try! ^_^

I recommend salt ramen, but sometimes I crave for Takaida-style ramen, which is rare in Kyoto. I tried it recently and it was delicious. The fried rice was also well-prepared and tasty. It cost 700 yen (June 25, 23). Takaida-style ramen is definitely delicious, very hot and satisfying.

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday night with my partner. It was not crowded. I ordered miso ramen and my partner ordered soy sauce ramen. The taste was like the old "La-Oh" instant ramen from when it used to come with fresh noodles in a bag. The broth and the texture of the noodles were just like La-Oh. The soy sauce ramen was the same. The noodles had a slightly firm texture, just like La-Oh. When I was a child, La-Oh was a luxury instant ramen that I could only have occasionally. It was something I wanted to eat when I grew up. It was delicious, nostalgic, and very satisfying. My partner, who had never tried La-Oh, said it was simply delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Super Boiled Dried Ramen for 850 yen. Located a 15-minute walk from Hankyu Kyoto Line Nishikyogoku Station at 31-6 Nishiin Roku-antanda-cho, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. Operating hours are weekdays 11:30-14:00, 17:30-23:00, Saturdays 11:30-15:00, 17:30-23:00, Sundays and holidays 11:30-15:00, 17:30-22:00. Closed on Mondays. Free parking available for 3 cars in front of the store. Arrived around 11:25. Seated immediately and served in about 5 minutes. Toppings include chashu, menma, green onions, and seaweed. The noodles are Kyoto Taei Chuto straight noodles. The soup is boiled dried soy sauce soup. I was looking for a ramen shop in Kyoto that serves Chinese soba, and this one came up. Now, onto the taste. The boiled dried flavor is delicious! Very gentle and tasty, with no bitterness or off-flavors. The noodles are chewy and mochi-like when bitten. It's just too delicious! The chashu is thin but well-seasoned with a nostalgic taste. The seaweed's oceanic taste complements the boiled dried soup well. The crunchy texture of the menma is also good. The refreshing aroma of the green onions is nice too. The friendly demeanor of the owner also adds to the experience. I hope they continue to preserve this taste for a long time. It was delicious - thank you for the meal!

I ordered salt ramen. It was quite light and just right for a finish after drinking, but I felt a little unsatisfied having it as dinner without alcohol. The dried fish ramen, which I shared with my companion, had a strong fish flavor that fish lovers would enjoy. The fried chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked, very delicious! I want to go back late at night next time!

I visited "Raamen Souhou Pako" for the first time in a while. I was torn between trying the exquisite salt ramen or the spicy soy sauce flavor, but ended up ordering the "Takaida-style Chinese soba." The simple dish consists of black soy sauce-flavored soup with green onions and chashu. The moment I took a sip of the soup, the rich soy sauce flavor spread in my mouth. The thick noodles paired perfectly with the soup, creating a delicious combination. The chashu had a nice meaty texture that I enjoyed. I think even their chashu ramen would be delicious. Sometimes, I crave this kind of ramen. I might try the exquisite salt ramen next time.

I really wanted to eat the black ramen, so I decided to visit. The noodles were medium thick and straight. Topped with two slices of pork, chopped green onions, and bamboo shoots. The black soup was served in 12 minutes and it was incredibly delicious. I also enjoyed the tangy flavor of the soup. The combination of the pork and green onions was excellent. I love how the noodles gradually turn black. The Highida-style black ramen costs 750 yen.

I did it again. What I want to eat for lunch is the fried rice here. And if I add ramen, it's too much. When I entered the restaurant, there were no customers before or after me. I ordered "fried rice and non-alcoholic beer". The chef made the fried rice without a single unpleasant look and served it to me. At the same time, the non-alcoholic beer arrived. I took a bite of the fried rice, it has a strong flavor. It might be a bit too strong, but I have a friend - the non-alcoholic beer! Thanks to it, the strong-flavored fried rice tastes even better. I was quite satisfied, but if the fried rice were extra large and I could order a big bottle of beer (not on the menu), and keep pouring it, it would be paradise for around 2000 yen! However, I travel by motorcycle, and this place is quite inconvenient in terms of transportation, so it's unlikely that such a paradise will be realized...

Around lunchtime, I decided to have some ramen and found a ramen shop right in front of me. An elderly man was running the shop by himself, full of energy. I ordered the salt ramen, which had a rich chicken flavor and aroma in the golden soup. The thin noodles were easy to eat and delicious. As I finished my meal, a strong seafood scent filled the shop. Perhaps they were preparing for the evening? I left the shop impressed and thinking I should try their seafood soup next time.

"The 'Ultimate Salt Ramen' - In Kansai, it's now common to enjoy delicious salt ramen, but I remember back when salt ramen wasn't as popular, this place was already thriving. The old man running the place is still the same as ever. And the kind yet firm salt flavor still greets you warmly. The chashu and noodles are traditional and irresistible. There are still some things to nitpick about, just like in the old days. It felt like a fun trip back in time. I hope they stay healthy and keep going for a long time. I'm curious to know the proper name of the shop soon..."

There are various types of ramen available, such as salt, light soy sauce, miso, and Takaido-style, as well as dried fish. It was difficult to decide on an order, but this time I chose the limited edition dried fish soy sauce ramen. The aroma and soup were not too strong with dried fish flavor, making it easy to eat with medium-thick square noodles. I didn't have high expectations for a shop that offers many types of ramen, but it was surprisingly delicious. Next time, I would like to try the Takaido-style ramen.

Today, I visited a popular ramen shop in the Nishikyogoku area. The shop is called "Ramen Sohbo PAKO" and is located along the Nishi-Koji Street. Inside, there is a long counter and tables at the back. The shop has a traditional "neighborhood ramen shop" atmosphere with a large pot at the back. The shop used to be called "Ramen Sohbo Nihonichi Pako Pako" in the past and was even selected as one of the best ramen shops on Tabelog. The recommended menu items are the "Premium Salt Ramen" and the "Super Niboshi Ramen". I chose the salt ramen this time.
The Premium Salt Ramen has a beautiful golden-colored soup with vibrant toppings like green onions and mizuna. The soup, made with mineral-rich natural salt, has a clear taste with a nice blend of seafood umami and fragrant sesame flavor. The thin noodles have a smooth and slippery texture, absorbing the deliciousness of the salt soup. Eating the noodles wrapped around the char siu was delightful. The crunchy mizuna paired well with the ramen. There was a generous amount of green onions, adding to the enjoyment of the soup. It was a ramen shop that truly emphasizes the flavor of salt in their soup.

The ramen cost 850 yen. The soup was delicious and I almost drank it all. The noodles were thin and straight, not curly, and on the softer side. The soup was light, so I personally think it would be better if the noodles were a bit chewier to help the soup stick to them more. The flavored egg was well-marinated and tasty, which was good!
