I wandered around the curtain street in Shinjuku looking for the oyster specialty store I had seen before. I was stopped in front of a store with the words "California" on it by a barker. It seemed different from the store I had seen before, but it appeared to handle oysters normally, so I confirmed with my friend. When I was about to enter, the barker made another push and said, "We also have 'Chinchirorin' here," trying to get us excited, but I shut him down by saying, "I don't care about that kind of thing," and entered the store. We sat in a somewhat uncomfortable seat near the entrance and ordered draft beer and narrowed down our appetizers to three. Of course, the draft beer came out in a few minutes, and we were informed for the first time that all orders were made through an app. I immediately downloaded the app and found that the item I wanted to eat the most was sold out. Furthermore, there were no fresh oysters available, so we quickly reached a consensus that there was nothing we wanted to eat between the two of us. The first beer quickly disappeared, and I ordered a sweet potato soda mix through the app. By the way, you can also choose how to drink through the app, so you could have a hot water whiskey mix, but we wanted to leave the store quickly, so we decided not to play around. At this point, no appetizers had been served, and we were just waiting for the alcohol we ordered through the app, but for some reason, we were asked, "What would you like to drink?" Was this different from taking orders? In the end, we each drank about four cups of alcohol, but we had finished the appetizers in about three minutes. We were feeling a sense of urgency to move on. Despite our drastically lowered expectations, I thought the raw beef liver and sake-steamed clams were not bad, but the butter-grilled firefly squid seemed like something a complete amateur would make. It wasn't bad per se, but it just didn't suit my taste at all. I'll give it a 3.0, but I won't visit again.
