On a weekday at 11:45, I arrived at the restaurant and found out that they have a parking lot for 22 cars, which is impressive. The restaurant is designed like a log house. There were 7 people waiting ahead of me. The system is to buy a meal ticket from the ticket machine and then join the queue. Along the way, you show your meal ticket to the staff and tell them your preferences for flavor intensity, noodle firmness, and amount of green onions. I sat down at 11:57 and found condiments like sesame seeds, pickled mustard greens, garlic soy sauce, ginger, and sauce on the table. At 11:58, my ramen arrived with pork bone soup, 4 slices of chashu, green onions, and seaweed. The soup was rich and flavorful with a distinct pork bone taste. The noodles were medium thickness and slightly chewy since I ordered them firm. The chashu slices were thin but tasty. I added extra green onions, which added a nice touch to the soup. The main branch of the restaurant had a refined system and delicious flavors.

I visited the restaurant around 10:15 pm on a regular night. I ordered tonkotsu ramen with firm noodles, rich broth, and extra green onions. I hesitated but decided not to get an extra serving of noodles. You can order an extra serving of noodles in the middle of your meal, so I recommend ordering the regular thickness noodles.

I visited at 18:00, so I was able to enter without waiting in line on a Saturday. You can choose the firmness of the noodles, the richness of the soup, and the amount of green onions. There were condiments like garlic oil and spicy pickled mustard greens on the table. The ramen was served promptly and it was a rich pork bone broth. Not recommended for those who don't like pork bone broth. The richness of the soup seems to be related to the amount of lard. It was delicious even when I changed the flavor with the spicy pickled mustard greens.

When you want to eat rich and hearty ramen, when you want to treat yourself after a weekend of work, this is the ramen you should definitely try! First, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. You can choose the amount of pork fat, green onions, and noodle firmness. I always order extra, extra, firm. While waiting, I eat the free pickled vegetables. My recommendation is to sprinkle some free sesame seeds on the pickled vegetables to add a little spice. The ramen arrives - it smells like tonkotsu. But that's good! I take a bite... Oh, delicious! So delicious!! The noodles are curly medium-thick noodles that mix well with the soup, and I can't stop eating. When I finish, of course I order an extra serving. You can choose between medium-thick noodles and thin noodles for the extra serving. Thin noodles can only be ordered as an extra serving, so I recommend them. The thin noodles also mix well with the soup. I also recommend the free pickled ginger with the extra serving. By the time I finish eating, more than half of the soup is gone. I am full and satisfied once again. At first, you might think it will upset your stomach, but you'll start to crave it and your stomach will get used to it after a few visits. Today, I visited Muteppo near my business trip location in Kyoto. It was past lunchtime, so I was able to enter the restaurant without waiting in line. I ordered the menu item at the top of the vending machine. Personally, I have been leaning towards lighter flavors recently, so honestly, it didn't suit my taste. However, for those who enjoy rich and hearty dishes, it may be perfect for them.

I took a vacation and went to the ramen shop "Muteppou Honten" in Kizugawa City. I had the pork bone ramen for 900 yen with an extra side of rice for 200 yen. I ordered the noodles firm, the flavor normal, and extra green onions. The broth was not as rich as usual but still delicious. I arrived around 11:10 am and was seated at a table as the counter was full. I finished eating by 11:30 am and there were already about 7 people waiting. It was good that everything went smoothly according to my plans.

I had always wanted to visit this restaurant. With high expectations, I got out of the car and... huh? What's that smell? Is there something nearby? The surroundings of the restaurant also looked messy... I felt a bit anxious as I waited in the heat. I bought a meal ticket in advance. I chose the "Limited Shoyu Ramen." It's known for being rich, but I'm not a big fan of that and it was hot outside. After all, it's a limited edition, so I had high hopes. Before entering, they asked about the noodle firmness, richness, and amount of green onions. I chose "firm, normal, extra." Finally, I entered the restaurant! My husband and I sat at a table side by side, with strangers sitting next to us. As soon as I entered... Could it be that the smell is coming from here? That was my first impression. What should I do... Since we were sharing a table, I couldn't say anything accidentally. After a short wait, the ramen arrived. I took a sip... Oh no!!! The soup is terrible. It lacks richness. But maybe it's because I chose the soy sauce option? The noodles looked like an iPhone charging cable, not appetizing at all. I didn't want to eat anymore... but the stranger across from me might think it's delicious, and I couldn't ask my husband (who was in the middle of a classic rich pork bone ramen challenge). I discreetly glanced at my husband, and he was shaking his head. I thought so. Despite that, I forced myself to finish the entire bowl. Normally, we always finish the soup cleanly, but here it was impossible. I couldn't understand the reason for its popularity at all. I wonder how many regular customers they have. I was so disappointed as I had been looking forward to it. I won't be going back.

I ordered the rich and hearty ramen, and when it arrived, I noticed that the soup was lighter compared to what I'm used to in Osaka. It still had a good umami flavor from the pork bones, but perhaps not as strong as in Osaka. The noodles were chewy, and overall, it was a satisfying meal that made me feel like I had come to a special place. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Popular restaurant in Kizugawa City, located near the border with Nara Prefecture. Access is difficult, but there is a bus route that stops near the restaurant. On Sundays, there is a wait of about 20 people 20 minutes after opening. The 25th-anniversary flower gift is from Kizuhonappareya, Matsudo, and Mitada. The turnover is fast, with a wait of about 15 minutes to enter. The restaurant is similar to the affiliated stores, but with a bit more fat and a strong soy sauce flavor. The green onions are really plentiful, just as expected from the main store.

Arrived at 11:00 on Sunday. Just opened, so waited outside on the bench with two people. After that, more people lined up behind, with over 10 people in line. Entered the shop in about 10 minutes. Served immediately. Ordered the pork bone ramen with firm noodles and extra green onions, so that's what I had. The soup was very rich when I took a sip. However, as I continued eating the noodles, it surprisingly became easy to eat. I didn't feel the same richness as Tenkaippin. And it was delicious! The initial noodles were medium thickness, so I ordered extra noodles with thin firm noodles for the pork bone ramen. As expected, the thin noodles were a good match! The thin noodles were also delicious. It's easy to visit from Nara as it's closer to Kyoto than Nara! It truly felt like the main store and was very delicious!

This time, I ordered tonkotsu ramen with firm noodles, and asked for extra toppings with lots of green onions. It seems that further customization is possible for regular customers. The thick pork bone broth paired with curly medium-thick noodles was delicious! After getting a second helping of noodles, I added spicy pickled mustard greens and red pickled ginger, and almost finished the soup completely. The location is not very convenient, but I will definitely be revisiting this place!

It's been a year since I last visited. I aimed for the Sunday 6pm opening time, but arrived a bit late and had to wait for the second round. Luckily, I was able to get in after about 30 minutes. For my first bowl, I ordered normal soup, extra green onions, and normal noodles. For my second bowl, I ordered a refill with thin noodles. I finished it all in no time. It's still delicious. I will definitely come back again.

Tonkotsu ramen for 900 yen. I ordered the noodles firm, normal amount of pork fat, and extra green onions. I finished work early in Kizugawa on a weekday around 2:40 PM, so I decided to go to Muteppo. I was able to enter the restaurant right away since there was no wait at that time. I bought a meal ticket, sat at the counter, and handed the ticket to the staff. They asked about my preferences for the noodles, pork fat, and green onions, and I chose firm, normal, and extra, respectively. The ramen was served in about 5 minutes. There was hardly any pork fat in the soup, even though I didn't ask for it to be omitted. The thick tonkotsu soup was rich and flavorful, with thin slices of seasoned pork, green onions, and seaweed. The noodles were curly and clung to the soup. However, I was quite full from eating multiple meals today, so I couldn't fully enjoy the richness of the soup. Nevertheless, the taste was still excellent.

Arrived around 1:30 PM on Sunday. Managed to find parking easily. It was my first time here, so I ordered the regular tonkotsu ramen. The staff asked me about the firmness of the noodles, richness of the soup, and amount of green onions. I requested a rich flavor, but after eating, I felt like my body needed a lot of water due to the strong taste. Recently, I've noticed that if a place has a younger clientele, the flavors tend to be stronger, so I feel reassured when older customers also frequent the restaurant. I came all the way here just because I really wanted to eat Menchikatsu. I arrived in the early afternoon, but I didn't have to wait in line, I could buy it at the ticket machine and go straight in. So lucky! First, I took a sip of the soup, and it was amazing! It's way better than Menchikatsu. Ramen is really something special. It was the best tonkotsu ramen. Ah, I'm so happy!
