I had lunch at a restaurant dining on the 8th floor of Isetan Tachikawa Store, just a 1-minute walk from Tachikawa Station. It felt like a high-class family restaurant with a variety of Western, Japanese, and Chinese dishes available. It's a great place to dine even if your family members have different preferences. I ordered the Szechuan-style tantanmen set for 1890 yen, which came with 2 pieces of black pork shumai and almond tofu, which was very creamy. The rich sesame soup coated the noodles nicely, and the chili oil added a nice level of spiciness. The stir-fried minced meat dish with Chinese broccoli and white leeks was flavorful and satisfying.

Lunch on December 12, 2020 (Saturday). I was planning to work in the afternoon in Musashimurayama, so I decided to have lunch in Tachikawa. Without much thought, I went to the 8th floor restaurant floor at Isetan, and found that every restaurant had a long line, which was disappointing. However, when I went to the restaurant furthest back from the elevator, I was able to get in right away. I ordered the recommended menu item, the Oyster Fry Set Meal (1780 yen), which was listed on the first page of the menu booklet. When asked if I wanted white rice or mixed grain rice, I chose mixed grain rice. The female staff seemed well-trained, almost like McDonald's. It wasn't bad, but there was something about it. The Oyster Fry Set Meal arrived, with thick and heavy batter on the oysters, perhaps a bit overcooked. The oysters were juicy enough, so maybe it was the right choice. It was piping hot, but the heat felt somewhat unnatural and out of place. The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) that came with it was also very hot. The total bill came to 1779 yen, which I think was due to the system.

I ordered a set meal which included Japanese-style beef steak, tempura, chawanmushi, side dishes, and soup, along with a soft drink. I also ordered some sake, which came with a complimentary appetizer. The food was not outstandingly delicious, but it was decent and reliable, fitting for a department store restaurant.

On the 8th floor of Tachikawa Isetan, there is a restaurant that feels like the old department store "dining hall". After playing downstairs for a while, we decided to use this place where you can enjoy various types of cuisine with our little ones. The kids each had a bowl of ramen (918 yen). They seem to have grown up enough to eat a whole bowl on their own. I raised a daughter, but boys, even when young, eat well compared to girls. (^0^;) The soy sauce ramen has a taste that everyone can enjoy. It comes with thick slices of chashu, as well as menma, Chinese cabbage, and green onions. My eldest daughter had the "Shrimp Macaroni Gratin (1242 yen)" which has a rich cream sauce that she likes, although she mentioned that there were few shrimp. I had the "Yakisoba with Five Ingredients (1091 yen)" which had ingredients such as Chinese cabbage, squid, plenty of cabbage, and pork. Surprisingly, there was less noodles than expected, and the taste was a bit bland, so I adjusted it with mustard and chili oil. The prices may feel a bit high, but it is a convenient restaurant for families with young children.

After admiring the cherry blossoms at Sarashina Horii, I smoothly entered this place where I had been waiting earlier. I arrived at 16:05 and was seated at a table near the window, where I looked over the menu. Ah, as expected of Isetan, the prices for the meals are all over four digits. While trying to look cool, I ordered the "Omelette Rice (1000 yen)" and looked around the restaurant. The interior has a calm atmosphere, with mostly older customers, and the sound of women's voices serving as background music. It was served in 7 minutes. The way it was served was smooth, as if saying, "This is different from the usual, you know." I like this kind of thing. The omelette was small but high in elevation. The aroma of demi-glace and butter tickled my nostrils. The eggs were delicately cooked. The demi-glace sauce had the right level of bitterness that I like. Maybe I underestimated Isetan? I found it tastier than the omelette I had at Isetan Fuchu. The rice seemed to be a pilaf style, with a light and fluffy texture. I didn't notice any fillings, maybe there were some chopped onions. I enjoyed changing the taste slightly with the broccoli and cherry tomatoes on top of the omelette as I ate, and finished it smoothly. The portion was normal, not too small. I felt the rice was a bit lacking, but the demi-glace sauce filled that gap. The service was calm and the atmosphere was nice.

I had the shrimp macaroni gratin for 1150 yen + tax and ice oolong tea for 200 yen + tax at a family restaurant in Akebono-cho, Tachikawa City, Tokyo. The restaurant is located on the southwest corner of the 8th floor of Isetan Tachikawa Store. Outside the store, there are traditional food samples on display. The interior is spacious with comfortable seating. Although there are no standout dishes, they offer popular Japanese home-style dishes. I tried the shrimp macaroni gratin for the first time, which had plenty of small shrimp and macaroni with a hint of onions and mushrooms. The dish had a creamy white sauce and a smooth texture. It's best to be patient and let it cool down before eating to avoid burning your mouth.

I went to Isetan Dining in Tachikawa, and it felt like a family restaurant inside Isetan. When you enter, you can see the kitchen clearly, but the visibility is a bit awkward. I ordered a Japanese set meal, but when it was brought to me, it was completely different from the picture. That was a bit disappointing. The taste was decent, but even though there were many dishes, the quality of each one was lacking. The fried food was greasy and the tempura was crispy to the point of being hard. I hope for a better experience next time, considering it's Isetan.

On January 10, 2016, after leaving "Rozan" behind, a leopard seeking sweets arrived at "Isetan Dining" restaurant. This restaurant serves a mix of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine. I ordered a strawberry parfait, which was quite sour, but the sourness perfectly complemented the sweetness. It was not immature sourness, but a well-balanced flavor.

2015.01 [Revisit] "The shop I used to go to is still the same" Series '15 Early Spring - The Japanese archipelago is now occupied by the self-binding spirits of cats. Our house is no exception, and my son, who has become a fan, was making a fuss. After watching the movie, we decided to have lunch before heading home. However, since it was New Year's, most of the shops were closed. We couldn't wander around, so we asked for help here. There were rows of chairs along the shop with waiting customers. Surprisingly, the turnover was fast, and we were seated in about 15 minutes. My son ordered "ramen" and "karaage," while I opted for the "oyster fry set" as a snack. Oh, and don't forget the draft beer. Nuts are served as well. The oysters were from Hiroshima, small in size and not quite milky, but the taste was good. The tartar sauce was also tasty. I started eating as a snack, but then switched to meal mode because I didn't want rice to be left over. The side dishes were just enough, so they didn't really accompany the rice. It's a bit more expensive than a family restaurant, but if you think of it as a specialty store, the price and taste are reasonable. It was lunchtime, so we decided to have lunch before heading home. Since we were with our children, we decided on this place where we could eat anything. It was crowded, but we were seated after waiting for about 10 minutes. The children always go for the children's curry wherever we go, my wife had pasta, and I had a tempura assortment with chicken karaage and draft beer. It's interesting to see each dish coming from specialized kitchens. The taste was average. It felt a bit expensive, but I guess that's expected in a department store.

I visited this restaurant after watching a soccer game. The atmosphere inside is calm and bright, making it a welcoming place for anyone. Despite being surrounded by high-end shops, the prices here are reasonable. It feels like a typical restaurant you would find in a department store with a wide variety of options. I had the mixed seafood yakisoba set, which was delicious with plenty of seafood toppings. It was my first time in Tachikawa, so I had a hard time choosing a place to eat, but I found this restaurant to be quite cozy. I think it would be a good place to go with family.

When dining out with multiple people, it can be difficult to decide where to eat due to different preferences. My husband chose the mixed fry set for ¥1250 excluding tax, while I opted for the five-ingredient yakisoba set for ¥1120 excluding tax. When it's hot, nothing beats shaved ice! I stopped by a traditional diner at Isetan during my shopping trip. Surprisingly, there weren't many places serving shaved ice, so I opted for the old-fashioned diner. I tried the "San Shoku Shiratama" with strawberry milk shaved ice (530 yen), and the strawberries were sweet and delicious. I also had the "San Shoku Shiratama" with matcha and red bean shaved ice (530 yen), although I wish the matcha flavor was a bit stronger. When I was a child, I used to play at the rooftop amusement park in department stores and have the "Ebi Fry" at the diner as a treat. It's been a while since I've visited a department store diner. However, with a variety of menu options including Japanese, Western, Chinese, and noodles, it could be a good modern-day family-friendly restaurant option.

The Isetan Dining in Tachikawa is a convenient restaurant to stop by when shopping and feeling a little hungry. Every time I come, I always plan to try something different, but end up ordering the "Gomoku Tsuyu Soba" again. The light and flavorful broth with assorted toppings is just perfect. The thin noodles are almost like vermicelli and soak up the soup well. The crunchy texture of the vegetables (perhaps burdock?) is enjoyable. The soba fries, which go well with a cold beer, always lead to a little competition with my daughter. Although it's a bit pricey, it's nice to treat yourself once in a while!

Dinner here is a dining restaurant located on the 8th floor of Isetan Tachikawa, just a 2-minute walk from JR Chuo Line Tachikawa Station North Exit. When we arrived around 17:40, there were only about 10 other customers in the restaurant. We were seated at a table by the window on the left side of the restaurant. I ordered the fried rice set for 1,260 yen, which included crab meat fried rice, half portion of Chinese noodle soup, dim sum, almond jelly, and pickled vegetables. My wife ordered the hamburger and Hiroshima oyster fry set with rice and miso soup for 1,360 yen. The fried rice in the set was a bit hard and very hot inside, similar to microwaved frozen fried rice at home. The half portion of Chinese noodle soup was decent, with a tasty chicken broth and thin straight noodles. The dim sum, shrimp shumai, pork shumai, and almond jelly were all average in taste. The hamburger and Hiroshima oyster fry set my wife had was good, with three oyster fries and a choice of sauce for the hamburger, along with sides of potatoes, carrots, broccoli, shishito peppers, salad, and tartar sauce. The hamburger had a meatloaf-like texture and was flavorful, especially with the demi-glace sauce. Overall, it was a satisfying meal despite not being a specialty handcrafted hamburger.

I stopped by Isetan Dining yesterday after work. It was crowded everywhere during lunchtime, being inside Isetan, but this Isetan Dining had a lot of people eating alone and the turnover was good, so I chose to eat here. There weren't many customers who lingered for over an hour for lunch, so I didn't have to wait. The menu includes Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, giving a family-friendly impression. I tried the "Ladies Plate," which was a variety-packed one plate meal with a drink for 1,575 yen, which was reasonable. It had shrimp fry, croquette, hamburger, and omurice, along with lettuce and tomato. I was surprised to see half-cut cherry tomatoes on top of the omurice instead of ketchup. Overall, the taste was decent. The hamburger was healthy and not greasy, suitable for those who don't like fatty foods. The shrimp fry and croquette were crispy and delicious. It's easy for individuals to enter alone, and families can order their preferred dishes, making it family-friendly. It's a restaurant inside a department store, and I felt that the quality has improved compared to the past.

Today was my first time using this shop. I entered a little past noon and it was bustling with customers. The employees on the floor were neatly dressed and had a sense of cleanliness, which was pleasant to see. That's about the only good point. In terms of taste, it wasn't great for the price... They offer a variety of cuisines - Japanese, Western, Chinese - so if you're not looking to try a little of everything, I would recommend going to specialized shops within Isetan. As for the service, the female staff were on a level far below even the staff at cheap family restaurants. The male staff provided good service, but when I ordered just the shrimp fry, it was served on a hamburger plate with sauce all over it... Despite my explanation that I ordered it separately and not as part of a set, they didn't seem to understand, so I reluctantly ate the shrimp fry with Japanese sauce. After finishing my meal and picking at the pickles, they tried to take my plate away while I was still eating, which was unexpected. I hesitated to say "I'm still eating," so I ended up awkwardly saying, "Oh, yes please..." I personally won't be going back, but maybe it was just my bad luck. Give it a try and see for yourself. The fried rice is a challenge, but the ramen is simple and delicious.

Izutsuya's restaurant floor offers a variety of dining options at Izutsuya Dining, where you can see chefs cooking from your seat. Recommended menu items are hard to choose from, but I tried the Tempura for 1050 yen and found it to be decently tasty. The bill came out to 1050 yen for just one person, and overall, the prices seem a bit on the higher side. The atmosphere is like a slightly upscale version of a family restaurant, and it turns out that Izutsuya Dining is under the umbrella of Royal Holdings, known for Royal Host. It all makes sense now.

The spacious interior and wide variety of children's menu are nice. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable, with some people dining alone at the counter seats. They offer a range of dishes from Japanese, Western, to Chinese cuisine, making it suitable for a wide range of age groups. However, the prices are a bit on the high side. For a set meal including pasta, salad, gratin, soup, and a drink, it costs around 1400 yen. The taste doesn't quite justify the price, as you could probably get more authentic Italian food for a similar price. I probably won't be a repeat customer.
