I've been to French and Italian restaurants, but ramen is the kind of food that makes you want to keep going back, even if it's a bit pricey. Ramen shops with high completion levels like this one, where you can eat for under 1500 yen, are really addictive. They offer a variety of condiments like grated garlic, spicy pickled mustard greens, extra noodle refills, sesame seeds, pepper, and not just ramen, but also gyoza, mapo tofu, potato fries, and other snacks that are perfect for drinking. Nagahama-ya is like Jiro-style ramen shops where each location has different menu items, so there's also the excitement of going to the shop itself! It's a highly recommended ramen shop, especially when there's a friendly older female staff member working there. ☺️

I used to pass by this restaurant all the time, but it was my first time actually going in. The tonkotsu ramen was priced at over 700 yen, which seemed a bit high considering it was assumed you would order extra noodles. When the bowl arrived, there seemed to be not enough noodles and too much soup, making it seem like they were pushing for extra noodle orders. I ordered the spicy option, and the soup was overwhelmingly spicy, almost making me want to order extra noodles, but I decided against it. I couldn't help but feel like there weren't enough noodles in the bowl, and I didn't really taste the noodles much, so I left without ordering extra noodles.

The last job of the year was at Heiwajima, where I worked together a while ago. After work, I decided to eat something before heading home, so I visited this restaurant. The restaurant is located right near Heiwajima Station. I was quite hungry, so I ordered a set of "fried rice" and "Hakata ramen." There were a few groups of customers already there, but my Hakata ramen was ready in just a few minutes after handing the food ticket to the staff. Then, in a few more minutes, the fried rice arrived. I appreciated the quick service. The Hakata ramen had a gentle flavor unique to Hakata ramen, and even though I'm not a fan of strong pork bone flavors, I found it easy to eat. The fried rice was also flavorful and had more ingredients than I expected. It was a restaurant with good portion sizes and cost performance. I would like to visit again.

Today's lunch adventure took me to the area around Heiwajima Station. After exiting the ticket gate of Keikyu Line's Heiwajima Station, I turned left towards the east exit. Upon exiting the east exit, I found myself facing Daiichi Keihin Avenue. Without crossing the signal, I turned right towards the Kan-Nana Avenue direction. After crossing the signal at Omorihigashi intersection, I arrived at the place I visited today - "Hakata Ramen Nagahamaya Heiwajima Branch". I entered the restaurant at 2:15 pm on a weekday, a bit later than the usual lunch hours. Inside, I checked the menu at the ticket machine and found a variety of ramen dishes, set meals, rice bowls, and toppings available for order.

I had Hakata ramen and gyoza. The soup had a slight pork bone smell, was easy to drink, and very delicious. The firm thin noodles were well coated with the soup. The gyoza had juicy filling. Thank you for the meal.
