I visited during lunchtime. It was a calm restaurant in a back alley. The lunch set with salad and a drink for 1200 yen is reasonable. I had the classic hamburger. My companion's ginger simmered chicken looked even more delicious.

Today, I had lunch in Ushigome Yanagicho. I went to meet an acquaintance, but I was surprised by the lack of places to eat in the area. While chatting over lunch, it felt like they were saying, "Come out to Kagurazaka or Shinjuku." I was amazed by the scarcity of options. This restaurant is quietly tucked away in a residential area. Just having a place like this makes me feel relieved. There were several lunch options to choose from, but I chose the hamburger. It was a bit firm, which I liked. The restaurant gave off a local vibe and felt like a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Thank you for the meal!

This is my third visit. The food and wine are always delicious. On this day, I was feeling a bit peckish, and since there are a lot of grilled dishes here that take time to cook, I ordered a platter while waiting for them to be ready. I asked for a bottle of white wine from the start. The photo is of bonito straw-grilled. It had a wonderful aroma, the fish was fresh with no fishy smell, and it was delicious with fresh vegetables. It was so good that after the white wine bottle, I ordered a glass of red wine, and then... I was curious about the adult lemon sour. As expected, it had a bitterness to it, which I personally like, and it was fantastic! It ended up being a bit on the pricier side at 20,000 yen for two girls, but we enjoyed the food and drinks. Thank you for the meal!

The chicken white broth pasta I had here was the best I've had this year. Since trying it, I've been looking for chicken white broth dishes even at ramen shops. I've only been able to go for lunch, but I want to come for dinner to have wine. The salad and soup were also very delicious.

It's a cozy spot, Ido Bistro, tucked away in a house with a great atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and it feels really nice. After a draft beer, I always go for a bottle of red wine from their cellar. First up, the charred spring cabbage salad with bacon and walnuts is a delicious salad for adults. The small potatoes and blue cheese are a reliable, rich flavor. The skewers of chicken thigh with basil, Ooyama chicken, bacon and tomato, and smoked pork belly are all excellent choices. For the finale, the pasta with spring vegetables and firefly squid is a bit light on flavor but still a nice way to end the meal. Thanks for another great meal today.

2023/2 "Hidden Gem Restaurant" by Akiton (・・) 'Ido Bistro' ✨✨ A hidden gem bistro. It's so hidden that I almost overlooked it... Haha, it truly is a hidden gem (laughs). The restaurant is located in a residential area just a 2-minute walk from Ushigome-Yanagicho Station on the Toei Oedo Line. Despite its appearance, it has a charming and warm atmosphere. The lunch is fully booked. Now, let's see how the food tastes (*´∇`)ノ ■Lunch Menu 1. Chicken White Soup Leek Bacon Pasta 1,200 yen 2. 100% Beef Cheese Hamburger 1,200 yen 3. Pork Belly Ginger Teppanyaki 1,200 yen 4. Lamb Shank Curry Rice 1,200 yen 5. Butter Roll 100 yen ■100% Beef Cheese Hamburger 1,200 yen ⚫100% Beef Cheese Hamburger A 100% beef hamburger. The pure beef flavor is evident without any mix-ins. The tomato sauce retains the freshness of the vegetables, while the cheese adds richness. It's a well-executed dish that shows an understanding of cooking. ⚫Salad A fresh and colorful salad. And of course, the homemade dressing is delicious. ⚫Lotus Root Soup (additional +200 yen) The lotus root soup is hearty with plenty of chunky lotus root pieces, a real "manly dish." Yet, the soup itself has a creamy and gentle flavor. Ordering it was the right choice! ⚫Coffee The coffee has a good flavor too. ■Service The service is attentive! The atmosphere is also very pleasant! ■Price The prices are reasonable. Overall, it was quite good (*´ェ`*) The surprise of this old folk house's architecture is amazing ✨✨ The attentive service left a great impression on me. While I can't judge the whole menu based on the hamburger alone, the careful preparation of flavors makes me look forward to trying other dishes. Knowing about this place will surely impress your companions! Thank you for the meal m(_ _)m □Rating As of February 2023, the restaurant has a 3.16 rating on Tabelog with 32 reviews.

An elegant shop standing inside a house. Behind the heavy door, there is a small, carefully designed interior by the owner and staff. An elegant oasis in a residential area. Friendly staff and a lunch style served individually. I ordered teppanyaki, which tasted delicious, but it was a bit difficult to eat in a Western style. It's better to eat Western-style dishes at a bistro.

In a traditional house in Niu-gome Yanagicho, there is a cozy restaurant where you can relax. They specialize in Eid cuisine and handle over 20 types of spices, offering unique and deep flavors. The place seems popular among women, as most customers are female groups. We started with draft beer and then tried a light Romanian wine, which was quite delicious. I personally prefer the black label from last time. The apple salad and herb chicken skewers were excellent choices. The lamb meatballs had a distinctive taste due to the variety of spices used. The duck with leeks was firm and tasty, while the grated yam was soft and delicious. Unfortunately, the oyster fry was overcooked and the batter was too hard, despite the effort put into the tartar sauce. The pasta with chorizo tomato sauce was decent, with the homemade chorizo making a strong impression. Overall, apart from this one dish, the food is usually very delicious.

It's hard to find, but there is a delicious restaurant near the Ushigome-Yanagicho Station. It's a renovated old folk house, and it's a cozy favorite spot. It's always bustling. There is also a second floor, so it's convenient for groups, but at the large counter, even solo diners can relax and quickly become friendly with the staff. This time, I had a draft beer followed by Romania's Cabernet Sauvignon, which was quite good. The food included salad, yakitori, and nagaimo gratin. The main dish was lamb chops, which were delicious and paired well with the wine. We finished with pasta, which we shared and was served with care.

■Order: Chicken White Broth with Leek Pasta - 1200 yen A pasta dish with bacon, Italian parsley, and leeks mixed in a chicken white broth sauce. It's more rich like carbonara than a soup pasta! The sauce has a taste of simmered chicken white broth. It mixes well and is delicious. The strong flavor of leeks adds a nice accent to the soup. The salad is elaborate with peaches. The acidity of the sauce and the sweetness of the peaches go well together. It's quite a generous portion. Coffee was also included, with a strong roast flavor. The presentation is beautiful. ■Notes: This bistro is located in a small alley behind the small station of Ushigome-Yanagicho, in a renovated old folk house. There is an old well in front of the house. The exterior and interior both maintain the old folk house charm with beams and windows, which is lovely. The location is a bit hard to find, so be careful. You'll need to turn at a spot where you might think, "Do I turn there?" It's right by the well at the dead end of the alley.

My partner was late coming home, so I made a reservation for 9:00 pm. Even at this time, the restaurant was busy. A group of women was very lively. It seems like they don't care about COVID-19 at all. People started leaving gradually around 9:30 pm. This is a place where you can relax and enjoy. We toasted with a draft beer and ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir. The stir-fried squid and eggplant with Southeast Asian fish sauce was delicious! The fries also went well with the wine. This restaurant is known for its skewers, so we ordered a variety of them. For dessert, we had French fries with herb salt. It may be junk food, but it's addicting!

Visited for lunch. Chicken white broth and leek pasta for 1200 yen. The soup was delicious, with a Japanese-style pasta. If you change the noodles to ramen noodles, it would easily pass as ramen. Located in a narrow alley, it's quite hard to find if you don't know about it. The well in front of the shop is a unique feature. That's probably why it's called Id Bistro. This is a place I would want to come back to at night as well. For more details, please check out the blog: http://zc31sred.blog83.fc2.com/blog-entry-395.html

I wanted to drink 1 liter of Vichyssoise every day. I was feeling tired and lacking appetite due to lack of sleep, but the cold soup was so delicious that I ended up eating curry voraciously. I don't know what Vichyssoise is made of, but I was surprised to find such a delicious soup in the world.

I went to a stylish restaurant called "Ido Bistro," which seemed a bit too fancy for an old man, and enjoyed delicious salads and skewers. The restaurant near my home was full, so I ended up at "Ido Bistro" around 7:20 pm. I ordered a homemade white sangria, a slightly rich chop de salad (half size), and Julian grilled chicken skewers. The sangria was subtly sweet and refreshing, and I got a complimentary mixed nuts snack. The salad with strawberries and kiwi was surprisingly delicious, and the grilled chicken skewers were elegantly seasoned and made with high-quality chicken. The atmosphere was lively with young people, and although the dishes were unfamiliar to me, I found them to be delicious. I might come back again since the restaurant is close to my home.

A quietly standing old farmhouse by a well slightly off the road. The atmosphere outside is from the Showa era. Upon entering, it feels like visiting someone's home. The first floor has a counter and table seats, and there seems to be a second floor as well. Starting with sparkling wine. Roasted whole onion: The onion is cooked thoroughly and sweet. Sashimi of mackerel: A sophisticated dish with soybean puree and butterbur miso. Butterbur miso goes well with sparkling wine. Stir-fried firefly squid and cucumber: Seasoned with a Southeast Asian shrimp fish sauce-like condiment. Not as strong as nam pla, it goes perfectly with the crispy firefly squid from Toyama. Wild boar prosciutto: The fat is delicious! That's the best way to describe it. Drinks: The carafe is excellent. You can choose from three types of red and white wines, and the cost performance is good. When you're choosing and eating various dishes, you also want to drink various drinks, so this system is great. They also have a lineup of drinks other than wine, and I enjoyed a post-meal drink as well.

On Sunday night, we decided to go to Bistro Ido in Ushigome Yanagicho since many shops in Araki-cho were closed. It was quite crowded but we managed to get in. The restaurant is located in a nondescript old house at the end of a small alley. The clientele is on the younger side, but the food is delicious and seems to have many regular customers. They have acrylic dividers for infection prevention, but since it's a renovated old house, it can feel a bit lively when large groups come in. We started with a toast with draft beer and had the Bonjour liver skewers with balsamic sauce, which were really good. The wine, an Italian Grand Primitivo, was a bit dry with a hint of sweetness. The ratatouille with egg was piping hot, and the spicy lamb meatballs and duck with leeks and taro in blue cheese were excellent as always. The liver bolognese at the end was lighter than expected, showing off the skill of the chef. It was great to share dishes and the service was very welcoming.

I wonder if I can have lunch at Niucomu Yanagimachi? I searched on Tabelog and found a lovely bistro. The lunch was just right, and it was a bit crowded. I ordered the Lu Rou Fan, which I had been curious about for a while. I asked for less rice and ordered hot tea. The salad was stylish and served as an appetizer. The Lu Rou Fan was a bit salty, but the half-cooked egg was just right. The staff asked, "Was the rice okay?" which was thoughtful and nice. I will definitely come back!

Located near Ushigome Yanagicho Station, down a narrow alley off Gaien Higashi Street, this restaurant is a renovated old house. I had never ventured down this alley before, despite passing by it many times. The restaurant opened on July 2, 2018. It is said to be 85 years old, so it was built in 1933 (Showa 8). I entered before 1 pm on a weekday, and the first floor was almost full. There seems to be a second floor as well. The clientele consists mostly of young women. The area near Ushigome Yanagicho Station used to have nothing, but recently, trendy shops have started to increase. This is probably due to the increase in high-income residents as more condominiums have been built along Gaien Higashi Street and Okubo Street. The lunch menu, despite the restaurant being called a bistro, offers dishes that are not very bistro-like, all priced at 1200 yen. I was torn between options but ended up choosing the Neapolitan. The salad was beautifully presented in a bistro style. The dressing was good, and the thinly sliced apple added a nice touch. My expectations were high, but unfortunately, they were not met. The Neapolitan was too strong in flavor. It was tough to finish due to its richness. It was bright red, so I thought they might be using canned tomatoes, but it tasted like a lot of ketchup. The chewy spaghetti, generous amount of bacon, and perfectly sautéed onions were all wasted due to the overpowering ketchup flavor. After the meal, you can choose between hot or iced coffee or tea. The atmosphere is nice, so I might try a different dish next time.

Today is rainy unfortunately. Due to the pandemic, there is a request to refrain from unnecessary outings and travel. Is there a nearby place where I can have a delicious lunch without getting wet in the rain, within walking distance from here? Yes, there is! So, let's make today's lunch a visit to "Ido Bistro" for the first time. Upon arrival at the restaurant, it is indeed in a back alley as many people have written. There are no signs or anything. The key points to arrive are: 1) Enter the alley between the famous ramen shop "Hayama" and "Family Mart" on Gaien Higashi Street. 2) Turn right into a small alley that looks like the entrance to a regular house between the house next to the apartment where Family Mart is located and the next house, and you will soon see "Ido Bistro" at the end. If you remember these points, you won't get lost. Around 11:40, there were about 5 customers already in the restaurant, with available seats. Good. I sat at the counter. There is a blackboard on the counter with "Ido-Bistro Lunch Menu" written on it. - Paitan Onion Pasta ¥1,200 (Salad) Although it's not written, it comes with coffee (or tea). Since today is a holiday, I would like to drink beer while waiting, but I can't. Oh well. Soon, the salad arrived. It was elegantly arranged, and it seemed like mustard was used in the dressing (if I'm wrong, I'm sorry). After finishing the salad, the pasta arrived. The Paitan flavor was not too strong, and overall it had a gentle taste which was delicious. By the way, I saw the Napolitan pasta being served, and it was piled high with bright red tomato sauce, not giving off a gentle impression, but it also looked delicious. Lastly, the milk and sugar cubes that came with the coffee after the meal were also stylish. It might be a bit intimidating for an old man like me to have dinner here, but I would like to come back for lunch. [Visit Date: April 29, 2021 (Thursday)] * During the period of self-restraint request, dining out. "Unnecessary and non-urgent" means "something that is not absolutely necessary and doesn't need to be done urgently." Everyone would agree that eating is not unnecessary. However, what about dining out? It's a bit difficult to interpret. So, some may criticize that it's a bit loose, but during the period of self-restraint request, dining out. 1) It is not prohibited to use public transportation or other means to go to a restaurant. In other words, going on foot and returning home. If going from work to the restaurant, all trips should be on foot (work → restaurant → home). 2) It is not prohibited to line up at the restaurant or wait when it is full. 以上

I had lunch at Idobistro in Ichigaya Yakuoji-cho. The nearest station is Ushigome Yanagicho Station. The restaurant is located in a hidden spot, down a narrow alley between Chuka soba Hayama and Family Mart on Gaien Higashi Street. The lunch menu included options like Indonesian-style beef tendon soup, pork belly ginger teppanyaki, Indian chicken curry, cheese hamburger, Napolitan, and pie tan negi pasta, all priced at 1200 yen each. I chose the pork belly ginger teppanyaki, which was delicious with well-seasoned pork belly, onions, and green onions. It went perfectly with rice. The salad was also tasty and nicely presented. I enjoyed a delicious lunch.
