I wonder where was the last place I visited, Shinjuku or Sengawa, something like that. I think there was a big buzz on TV recently. That was the trigger for my revisit. So, I decided to visit when things had calmed down a bit. I also made sure to go at a slightly off-peak time. It was just the right amount of crowded. I ordered the Salt Lemon Chicken. I like chicken burgers, but I had never tried this one before. I also took advantage of the 190 yen beer fair. It came to a total of 680 yen. The food was served shortly after. Nice presentation. I took a bite. Delicious! So this is what crispy and juicy means. And it has a nice punch of salt, very tasty. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I had high expectations when I visited, but they were exceeded. I was able to enjoy the juicy and crispy chicken until the end. Thank you for the meal.

I had some errands in Shimokitazawa. The area in front of the station has become too clean and it's sad. I used to like the old cluttered shopping street. With redevelopment, the town has become all the same. I really liked Usaya. I couldn't bring myself to eat at the clean, glass-fronted shops near the station, so I ended up here with beer. They have a special offer today, where you get a discount of 100 yen on refills. Guess I have no choice but to get a refill.

As usual, I was strolling around Shimokitazawa when I spotted a glasses-wearing guy with a laptop open at Freshness Burger. I peeked in and saw that there were plenty of power outlets available! I just ordered a drink and used one. The place has around 14 outlets at a glance, so no need to fight over a seat with power. The Wi-Fi is also fast (there are two networks, check the store guide). The staff were friendly and spoke in a cute manner. The lemonade, priced at 360 yen, had a lot of lemons - 11 slices on that day! Maybe they put in too many by mistake? This is now part of my routine! I was lured in by the special offer of draft beer for only 190 yen (limited to one glass). I ordered Red Hot Chicken and Fish & Chips as snacks. It was just the right amount for a light drink. The fish and tartar sauce were really delicious, I just want to order this alone!

This ginger ale is delicious! It has finely chopped ginger at the bottom, so you can enjoy a crunchy texture while drinking.

The burgers at this restaurant were delicious with the meat and tomato complementing each other well! The lemonade was also refreshing with a strong lemon flavor that put me in a good mood.

The beer was bad. It had a bad smell and a sour taste. It's a shame because everything else was good!

Before I knew it, I was inside the shop! I ordered the 'Gapao Burger,' which has been available since June 17th. The bun was yellow, soft, and slightly sweet - turns out it's made with sweet pumpkin. Interesting! The patty had a hint of salt, basil, coriander, and chicken - cleverly turning a Gapao stir-fry into a patty. The Thai spices gave it a unique aroma and flavor. The vegetables included sliced onion, tomato, and coriander. The sauce was a mix of seafood Tom Yum paste and coriander, leaving a lingering coriander flavor. And the egg on top was a perfect touch! Why is this only available for a limited time? It's so good!"

I visited the restaurant on a weekday in July 2016 around 10:50 am. There were three groups of customers already there. I ordered the "Strawberry Smoothie" as I was on my way to have a meal. I paid upfront and was given a number tag. The smoothie was served to me in about 3 minutes. It looked sweet at first, but was surprisingly refreshing. It had chunks of fruit in it and the portion was decent. It was a hot day, so it tasted even better. The seating in the restaurant was quite close together, with tables placed closely. It was fine since it was not crowded when I was there, but I wonder how it would feel when it's full. I understand they want to make the most of the space, but I would prefer if there was a minimum distance between tables.

This street is reminiscent of the old Harajuku, with pancake shops that always have long lines, as well as waffles, crepes, etc. There are also Starbucks and Freshness Burger, giving this street a slightly unique feel within Shimokitazawa. I feel like Shimokitazawa would lose its vitality without streets like this. Lately, I've been enjoying the morning set at Freshness Burger. It's over 400 yen, so it's not particularly cheap, but the crispy lettuce adds a nice texture. The drinks could be a bit tastier for a more satisfying experience, but this level is acceptable. I like the mini teriyaki burger and hot dog here. The buns are crispy and delicious. For an additional 70 yen, you can choose soup as well, surpassing other burger chains. The coffee is not great, so I recommend trying other drinks. This place turns into a wine bar from 5 p.m., so it might give a different impression if you come at night.

In the midst of the lingering summer heat, I visited Freshness Burger Shimokitazawa, located about a 2-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station. The wooden interior of the restaurant is calming and exudes a natural American atmosphere, fitting in perfectly with the stylish vibe of Shimokitazawa. Many customers were dining alone, enjoying the refined ambiance for a relaxing cafe or lunch experience. It was so hot that I opted for the Kiwi Mix Protector. I really liked the fresh texture of the kiwi seeds in it. Made with plenty of fresh kiwi fruit, pineapple juice, and mixed together, the smooth texture and the kiwi seeds made it incredibly delicious.

I had just arrived home to find that there was no dinner ready, so I decided to stop by a Freshness Burger in Shimokitazawa for their limited-time avocado burger. As an avocado lover, this burger was perfect for me. The price was a bit high, but I didn't mind. While waiting for my burger to be prepared, I ordered a hot caramel macchiato. The burger arrived with plenty of avocado, although it wasn't immediately visible. The burger had a good amount of meat, so even with all the avocado, it didn't feel too overpowering. It was a bit pricey since it couldn't be ordered as a set, but overall, I was glad I could try it before the limited-time offer ended.
