The second place we went to was Toun, a lucky restaurant. We were reminiscing with friends about how we had been here before. For snacks, we ordered boiled beef tendons, potato salad, liver, and quail. I had a Thunder Gate Sour and a Tomato Highball for drinks, while my friend had a Perilla Sour and a Plum Split. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was lively, with customers coming and going constantly. The bathroom had a cute sign. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Having a drink alone under the Yurakucho guard, at the established in Showa 28, "Toen Ton" is a must-visit. It has a cool and laid-back atmosphere, perfect for a quick drink. The place is filled with smoke, so it's recommended to wear clothes that can be easily washed during this season. You have to order at least 2 skewers, but even if you're dining alone, you can enjoy a variety of carefully selected dishes, which will leave you very satisfied. It's popular among foreigners as well, so it can get crowded, but the turnover rate is high.

I used it on my way back from watching a movie at Hibiya Midtown. The skewers are 190 yen each, with a minimum order of 2 skewers. The grilled pork and grilled chicken are quite delicious, probably because they are grilled over charcoal. However, the other side dishes are honestly not that great. The cold tofu coming out as it is was nice haha. The atmosphere under the guard is good, so it might be suitable for people who are satisfied with drinking alcohol.

I was planning to head back home in Yurakucho, but I stopped by for a break along the way. There were energetic staff members running the place. The table had a menu of classic dishes and drinks, and there were daily recommendations on a board. They didn't have a Hoppy set, but they had draft beer. Since I was thirsty, I chose a bottle of beer for 690 yen. I ordered two skewers of yakitori - liver (tongue) for 190 yen and one chicken skewer for 190 yen each (minimum order of 2 skewers) with sauce. There were no appetizers. I also ordered a raw turnip (from Aomori) for 480 yen. The raw turnip had the stem boiled and the flesh peeled, served with a little soy sauce and salt, making it fresh and delicious. It seemed like it would go well with sake, so I added a glass of Fukiko Junmai sake for 420 yen. The grilled motsu (offal) was a satisfying size and taste considering the Yurakucho prices. According to the staff, there are surprisingly many foreign tourists who stop by in the evening. It was a convenient place for a little alcohol break in Yurakucho.

Today's dinner was at Hibiya's "Motsuyaki Toonton." After finishing a movie that left me feeling a bit queasy, I enjoyed a Hoikoro set meal at a local Chinese restaurant, and then returned to "Toonton" where there was one seat available. I decided to end the night with a bottle of beer and some grilled pork skewers. The bottle of beer I ordered was the "Kirin Classic Lager (690 yen)." I ordered two skewers of pork, opting for the meaty "Kashira (pork cheek)" with both sauce and salt seasoning. It's not quite midsummer yet, so I can still bear sitting at the table, but I wonder how it will be in the upcoming season when it gets even hotter. I definitely can't come in wearing a suit. As I sipped my beer from the glass, the grilled pork skewers arrived. They were served separately with sauce and salt on the side. Each skewer had three pieces of meat, so I alternated between enjoying them with sauce and salt. The meaty Kashira was best with salt, bringing out the natural flavor of the meat. The sauce here was light and didn't overpower the meat's flavor. The incomplete satisfaction from watching Indiana Jones was reignited by the combination of the Chinese meal and grilled pork skewers.

Located near Hibiya Midtown, this yakitori restaurant, established in 1953, emits smoke from early in the day. The atmosphere inside is quite hot due to the smoke and heat. It always seems to be packed at night, but I was able to secure a seat during the day. Sipping on a cold glass of Kirin beer, I enjoyed the pork tongue, pork belly, scallions, crunchy cartilage, and fresh turnip with a nice texture. The recommended skewers are a bit pricey but offer a good amount of food. Lemon sour is always the best choice for daytime drinking.

The crispy texture and moisture are just right! Famous tsukune, the fluffy and chewy tsukune is delicious! It's irresistible! Nan kotsu, the kotsu here is not too crunchy, but just a little crunchy! The good texture is amazing! Shiro, I've been into shiro lately! The fluffy texture of the sauce and shiro is also amazing, making you want to drink sake! Sand liver, the crispy texture of the sand liver is addictive! You just want to keep eating it! Hara (harami), the harami is juicy and feels like you're replenishing your fluids! The one I ordered before going home was amazing! On Thursday, May 31st, I was drinking with my old friends around Yurakucho. After a light drink at the first place, we headed to the second place. Following my friends' lead, we walked under the Yurakucho station and arrived at this restaurant. It was my first time drinking under the Yurakucho station. Despite being crowded, we managed to find seats at a small table facing each other. I was surprised to see that the age group was quite young, with some foreign tourists as well. We started with Kirin Lager beer in large bottles, priced at 690 yen each, and made a toast. Here is what we ordered: - Kirin Lager beer in large bottles, 690 yen each We had 5 bottles between the two of us, and it was definitely worth it at this price in this location. - Sand liver in ponzu sauce, 450 yen A great accompaniment to beer. - Beef tongue, 190 yen per piece x2 - Pork cheek, 190 yen per piece x2 - Chicken heart, 190 yen per piece x2 - Pork belly skewers, 350 yen per piece x2 - Octopus with wasabi, 450 yen The yakitori skewers were reasonably priced considering their size. Drinking Kirin Lager beer in a smoky atmosphere was quite enjoyable, immersing ourselves in the ambiance under the station. The place was really crowded!

I worked hard all day and got really hungry, so I was thinking where to go in between movies... but ended up choosing this place again. In addition to my usual favorites, I tried the pork belly this time, and the sweet miso sauce was delicious and went well with beer. I paired it with craft beer, and the bitterness complemented the food and drink, making it very enjoyable. By the time the movie started, I was full and satisfied. I love offal, of course, but what I really like about this place is the natural demeanor of the staff. Hearing their casual banter while waiting for customers, I am truly grateful that this restaurant is still open after going through the pandemic. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I stopped by during a break in the movie and had a feast since I hadn't eaten anything since morning. I had a salad with cabbage, edamame, and new onions, as well as grilled skewers of heart, liver, and cartilage, each with 2 pieces. I prefer the grilled skewers to have a little more salt, but I really appreciated how the staff energetically served the customers and asked if the amount was okay. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Visited with my junior on a Saturday night. We ordered bonjiri tsukune, nankotsu yagen, nankotsu, sunagimo, and skewers, which were generally delicious. The prices were mostly around 190 yen, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the draft beer at 600 yen was expensive. The atmosphere was full of Showa era charm, making it a nice restaurant, but the beer was pricey.

After finishing up some errands, I decided to wander around the neighborhood and settled on this place for a light drink. It was quite crowded in the Shinbashi-Yurakucho area, maybe because it was a Friday. The atmosphere felt lively, almost like pre-COVID times. I mainly had skewers and they were quite filling, satisfying my hunger. What I liked the most was the location. Underneath the train tracks, with the sound of trains passing by, the bustling crowd, and the smoke, it had a nostalgic feel. The outdoor air was also refreshing as the season was turning nice.

From Yurakucho towards Shinbashi, there is a shop under the train tracks that has a fantastic atmosphere. The tunnel is dimly lit with glowing lanterns. My izakaya radar was buzzing with excitement. A large Kirin Lager for 690 yen set the mood. The skewers were delicious - Shiru for 190 yen, Kasira (Harami) for 190 yen, and the beef tripe stew for 630 yen. The portions were generous, making the prices reasonable. The Shiru was delightfully chewy, especially with the sauce. The Kasira was high quality and satisfying. Meat, beer, meat, beer - it was irresistible. And the beef tripe stew was a standout, with big chunks of tripe that were incredibly tasty. After finishing the beer, I tried the Tomato Sour for 550 yen, which was surprisingly clear and had a refreshing tomato flavor. I was impressed by this hidden gem of a restaurant with great service and a fantastic atmosphere. It was a big hit!

I went on a business trip to Tokyo. I finished work a little early and arrived in Yurakucho at 4:50 pm. It was a good time to start drinking. I moved under the station guard and decided to have a drink at "Motsuyaki To-un Ton" restaurant. There were already many customers drinking. I started with a beer. My tired body from the business trip was like a dry sponge, quickly absorbing the beer. My tired feet from walking were miraculously recovering. Next, I had grilled pork offal. From the cheek to the heart to the intestines... delicious. The beer quickly finished, so I switched to a highball. This also soaked into my body. It's hard to believe this nostalgic atmosphere is just a short walk from Ginza. The smoke, the rumbling trains passing by, the drunk people... Yurakucho under the guard is like a cultural heritage. Deep down, it was the best.

The staff were kind, energetic, and provided polite service. The place was crowded with customers and there was a lot of noise. The chicken was delicious and reasonably priced at 190 yen per skewer! The bonjiri (chicken tail) was large and tasty!

I wandered around Yurakucho looking for a place to drink, and I arrived around 5 o'clock on Saturday evening! Even though it was early, about 60% of the restaurant was full. The neighboring restaurants had a similar atmosphere, but this one was crowded. To prevent bags and purses from picking up smells, they provided plastic bags for us to use. Since it was my first time here, I was unsure of what to order, but the staff recommended some dishes for us. We ordered mapo tofu, pork belly skewers, as well as the specialty tsukune, pork tongue, and other appetizers. Given the size of the restaurant, it might be a place to avoid during peak times of COVID, but the fact that this place was crowded made me realize that we are learning to coexist with the virus. It was a fun and affordable place to drink with a lively atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

I came here after work. It's my second visit, but it's been a while since I last came because it's not listed on Tabelog. I had shiro, kashira, tan, liver, and a draft beer, plus a lemon sour. The staff here are very kind. It's nice that it's non-smoking with a vinyl sheet separating the outside. You can really experience the atmosphere under the bridge. Thank you for the meal!
