This is a takoyaki restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Suitengumae Station. They use rice flour for a chewy texture, and their mayonnaise is homemade, showing their attention to detail. It seems like they have recently changed the rice flour, as the taste has slightly changed. Nonetheless, I am happy to be able to eat them again.

I visited a teppanyaki restaurant that offers takoyaki, yakisoba, and marumaru-yaki in front of Suitengu Shrine. The store opened in December last year and is located a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Suitengu-mae Station on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line. The store's operating hours are from 11:00 to 21:00 (currently possibly earlier). When I visited around 13:30, the store was only offering takeout due to the ongoing COVID situation. The exterior and interior of the store are stylish, with about 8 counter seats. The menu mainly consists of takoyaki, yakisoba, and marumaru-yaki. Takoyaki options include sauce, lemon sauce, green onion, and mentaiko mayo, all with 8 pieces each. Yakisoba options include sauce and salt lemon flavors. Marumaru-yaki, also known as "Osaka-yaki" or "Ame-yoko-yaki" in different regions, are priced at 390 yen for plain, with additional toppings available. I ordered takoyaki with sauce and yakisoba with sauce for takeout. The food took about 15 minutes to be ready, and both the takoyaki and yakisoba were delicious. The yakisoba had a rich and intense sauce with sausage, while the takoyaki had a slightly fluffy texture with plenty of sauce. It was a satisfying meal.

Location: If you come from Suitengu Shrine, head south on Suitengu-dori, pass T-CAT, and turn right at the next traffic light. The restaurant will be on your left.
Store and Interior: The first floor of this building is lined with various eateries. The neighboring curry restaurant, Koshuntei, seems to have closed. This particular restaurant opened on December 16, 2021. Inside, you will find a takoyaki grill and teppanyaki grill to your right, along with counter seats.
Food: If you visit for lunch, they only offer takoyaki for takeout. Originally priced at \600 for 8 pieces, there was a \100 discount for the grand opening, making it \500. I purchased takoyaki and ate it by the Sumida River. The takoyaki was fluffy and creamy, but it was so soft that the batter stuck to the boat, making it difficult to eat. It comes with sauce, seaweed flakes, bonito flakes, and a generous amount of mayonnaise.
Drinks: Not available.
Service: There were two staff members, a female cook and a male server. They offer takoyaki for takeout during lunch, but in the evening, they also serve alcohol and have teppanyaki menu. I hope this review helps you choose a restaurant.

On my way back home, I stumbled upon a takoyaki shop in an unexpected place. It was their pre-opening day, so I decided to buy some. The menu not only had takoyaki but also teppanyaki. The plain takoyaki was priced at 600 yen, which seemed a bit expensive. Since they didn't allow eating in the shop during the pre-opening, I took the freshly made takoyaki home. The takoyaki balls were stuck together, making it hard to distinguish the boundaries. When I tried one, it was soft and gooey, lacking the crispy texture I prefer. It had a rare sensation, not raw though. It felt a bit heavy and sticky for my liking. Maybe the impression would change if I ate it in the shop. They have already officially opened and expanded their menu to include various teppanyaki dishes, making it a good option for a light lunch.
