I used this restaurant for a dinner with my boss. It's a very cozy sushi place where the lady serving us was very friendly. The sushi and other dishes were delicious and not too expensive.

I doubt the ratings on Tabelog. There is nothing special, but they do ordinary things in an ordinary way.

The restaurant had a great reputation, so my friend and I went there with high expectations. The place was small with only two sunken tables and a counter that could seat about six people. The atmosphere and staff were very nice. However, I personally found the taste of the food to be average and it was difficult to write a comment of over 200 characters. Everyone else seemed to think it was delicious, but I didn't find anything special about the sushi. The prices were not cheap either, and for around 10,000 yen per person for food and drinks, I believe there are better places to eat. It was disappointing given the high expectations. My friend's taste buds were also disappointed. Nonetheless, the place was crowded.

Introduced by a friend, I visited the well-known sushi restaurant called "Kizushi". After getting off at the station and walking a bit, I arrived at a quiet place where lights were softly shining, as if welcoming my tired body back. Upon entering the restaurant, the proprietress greeted us warmly with a "Welcome". Since there were three of us, we were guided to a sunken kotatsu-style seating area. We started with sashimi, then moved on to shishamo, and finally sushi. The sashimi was all delicious, with the chu-toro melting in my mouth. The portions of sashimi, skillfully arranged by the chef, were plentiful. I don't drink alcohol, but my companions are beer lovers, so when it was suggested to try something besides sashimi, the timing was perfect. It's nice when they recommend something and engage with you like that. I had a relaxing chat with the proprietress, who was friendly and had a motherly vibe. The chef, who I assume is the owner, had a lovely smile. The main sushi disappeared in no time (I wanted another serving, but had to stop at 2 servings due to being full). It was delicious. The two hours flew by. A warm atmosphere, unpretentious setting, and a welcoming proprietress. Sushi restaurants may seem intimidating, but Kizushi is a place where you can casually drop by for sushi.

When you pass through the noren curtain, you almost feel like saying "I'm home" instinctively, thanks to the warm and welcoming hospitality of the proprietress and staff at this restaurant. With many regular customers, it's recommended to make a reservation especially on weekends. Sitting at the counter with two friends, we left the appetizers to the chef's choice and ordered our favorite sushi. The seasonal appetizers included asparagus tofu, vinegar-marinated Aomori mozuku seaweed and junsa, grated potato with dashi broth, simmered octopus and shiitake mushrooms. Followed by simmered conger eel and a sashimi platter. Then we enjoyed individual sushi pieces, followed by a clear soup and peach for dessert. We washed it down with three bottles of Hamachidori Junmai sake after starting with draft beer. Somehow, the drinks always seem to go down smoothly at this place, thanks to the master's subtle recommendations. The meal was delicious as always, though it felt a bit pricier this time, perhaps due to the selection of ingredients. The cozy and friendly atmosphere created by the regular customers might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's a great spot to experience the nostalgic charm of the old town atmosphere in Monzen-Nakacho.

In Monzen-Nakacho, there are quite a few sushi restaurants (and many other genres as well, haha), with many receiving good reviews. However, personally, I think there are also many places that are not satisfactory. In the midst of that, this restaurant offers a decent level of quality at a reasonable price. It is a valuable spot in Monzen-Nakacho. Both the counter and the tatami seating are comfortable, and can be used according to the number of people. However, it would be better to make a reservation. The counter can only seat a few people, and there are only about three tatami tables.

I visited a restaurant that was a favorite of my senior during my student days. The exterior had a nice atmosphere typical of Monzen-Nakacho. The interior was clean, and the waitresses were friendly and attentive. We had a selection of sashimi, small dishes, and nigiri sushi. The quality of the fish was good. We were a group of three, and each dish was beautifully presented on large plates. The sashimi was generous, with various types of fish sliced beautifully. The shellfish, in particular, was delicious. We enjoyed two bottles of medium-sized sake, and the bill came out to around 8,000 yen per person. The restaurant exudes a sense of pride in their business. I will definitely visit again. By the way, the name of the restaurant is not "Kizushi" but "Kizushi".
