I went to the Seijo Center to send a package via Yamato Transport's Takkyubin Compact service, but the reception service was temporarily closed due to the influence of the coronavirus. There was a notice on the door directing me to nearby branches for reception, but they were a bit far and the deadline was approaching. I was in a hurry because the package needed to be delivered by the next morning. I searched for other nearby places to send the package and found out that the Summit Store right in front of me was a handling store. I quickly went inside and asked at the service counter, where a very kind staff member assured me that it was okay and they could collect the package by 5 pm today. I was relieved and able to send the package successfully. After that, I bought a bento box from the deli corner at Summit Store and enjoyed it in their eat-in area. On my way back, I noticed that the cherry blossoms along the Sengawa River were starting to fall.

At the end of the year, I went to buy some snacks to go with alcohol and found that many of the deli items were half price, so I bought a few. I really like the deli items that are cooked in the store at Summit Store. Then, on New Year's Day, I went to Kojima Denki on the second floor of Summit to look at refrigerators and washing machines, and they were on sale, so I bought them right away, lucky me. In addition, when I made a purchase, I was able to participate in a gachapon lottery, and I actually drew a great fortune. Last year was full of disappointments and it was a gloomy year, but I hope my luck will improve this year. However, I have bad luck with lotteries, so I feel like I used up all my luck on New Year's Day with the thousand yen gift certificate. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great year. Cheers!

Just the other day, I couldn't go out due to the scorching heat, so I made my own croquette soba. I used Tencho Baron croquettes for 99 yen and soba flour for 313 yen. For the broth, I used various types of dried bonito flakes, sardine flakes, horse mackerel flakes, dried baby sardines, and kombu. For the seasoning, I used Bimisan (a seasoning with umami flavor). Although it contains various additives, I found that using a slightly sweeter soy sauce-based noodle soup seasoning or a seasoning powder like Ninben's tsuyu no moto worked well with the croquette soba. The soba noodles were made with a ratio of 2 parts wheat flour to 8 parts soba flour and were made using a commercially available noodle press. The soba had a nice flavor, but the texture was a bit off due to weak pressure. The broth, on the other hand, turned out quite delicious. The croquettes from Summit were surprisingly tasty for 99 yen. I wonder what the actual cost of making this croquette soba is. As for the croquette soba itself, the soaking process really brings out its benefits. It gives a feeling of eating a simmered dish. It's a perfect menu for a hangover. After a night of drinking, the croquette soba is just what you need. It's actually not as greasy as tempura, with a gentle and rich broth. It's a superfood that combines richness and comfort in one, that's the croquette soba.

Summit Seijo store. It seems that Seijogakuenmae Station is the nearest station, but it is quite a distance away. However, there is a free parking lot, so it is convenient. The design is similar to other Summit stores, but this Summit has well-maintained aisles, making it easy to move around. I purchased oyster tempura. While you can find fried oysters, I had never seen oyster tempura before, so I decided to try it. Well, it was a bit oily. It's a product from a budget supermarket, so it's understandable. I think if a proper restaurant made it, it could be less oily, but even with that, oyster tempura is still good. The mineral-rich oysters and the tempura batter go well together.
