During a street snap shoot in Kinshicho, it was so hot that I took refuge in this shop for a little while! The coffee was delicious, even though it was served in a very small cup. The shop was cool, and everyone's sweat dried up. Next, I'm heading to Sagamihara! It was super intense. Ossu ossu!

I stayed at the Marriott-affiliated "Moxy Kinshicho" hotel, which has a pop culture theme. The hotel has a foreigner-friendly atmosphere, allowing guests to experience a mini overseas vibe. At the bar counter, you can check in at the front desk, and guests receive one free alcoholic drink and complimentary soft drinks. The bar counter is open 24 hours, and there are also billiards and table tennis tables for fun activities. For breakfast, there is a buffet with a mix of Western and Japanese dishes, including omelets, sausages, bacon, potatoes, salad, curry, miso soup, bread, fruits, and the standout dish for me was the miso-marinated mackerel. The hotel also has trendy electronic appliances, and the Aladdin toaster makes delicious crispy bread. I also enjoyed the café after my stay, where I had coffee for 500 yen. The interior design is stylish, simple yet compact and not bad at all. It reminded me of my stay at Moxy Kyoto.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Kinshicho Station South Exit, the bar lounge at Marriott's casual brand "MOXY Tokyo" is fantastic with its 24-hour power outlets and WiFi. Non-guests need to make additional orders every 2 hours, but there are various types of seats and the atmosphere is cozy, making you want to stay longer. The interior looks like a toy box turned upside down, and there is even a billiards table, making it popular among foreign guests. It's a space where you can forget you're in Kinshicho. Cappuccino (500 yen) and Passion Fruit Tea (500 yen) are recommended.

In such a place, surrounded by Marriott hotels, there were only foreign guests checking in one after another, causing a long line. It was surprising that the restaurant's bar and check-in counter were the same, but it was not a problem. There were photo spaces everywhere. Non-guests at the restaurant and bar were limited to one drink order every 2 hours. This was a kind way to prevent dehydration. The fabric on the sofas is worn out and needs to be replaced soon. The pizza with olives and tomatoes was very salty due to the olives, and the crust was too crispy. It would be better if they adjusted it a bit. Nevertheless, they really loaded it with olives! The low population density made the stay comfortable. I still prefer hotel restaurants.

I chose the breakfast plan with Japanese food. If ordered separately, it would cost 1300 yen. I mistook the seaweed for a towel haha. Also, yogurt, bananas, and natto are all you can eat. This place used to have a buffet with a wide variety of dishes. It's a bit disappointing. But it's understandable due to COVID-19. I hope it will make a comeback. Thank you for the meal.

On the morning of the second day in Tokyo, I had breakfast at the lounge of Moxy Tokyo Kinshicho. Guests can choose between Japanese or Western breakfast for 1,300 yen, while visitors pay 1,600 yen. I used a 10-dollar voucher and paid the 250 yen difference to have breakfast in my room. The breakfast for 1,300 yen... (laughs) Well, there are various thoughts about it, but it's nice to be able to eat in a spacious lounge with a nice view. As a Marriott Platinum member, I enjoyed free hot coffee and juice. The weather was clear and sunny. Now, let's go explore Tokyo. Today, I started from Jusoshiba Station on the subway. Compared to Osaka, Tokyo's transportation network is well-developed. I visited this café after seeing it in a café magazine. It is a Marriott hotel. It is a designer hotel aimed at foreign tourists, but I imagine it has been greatly affected by the coronavirus. The 1st floor has a lounge area with a bar counter and a nomad area, and there were a few people working, as there were not many customers. It was so quiet that it felt like you shouldn't make any unnecessary noise. There was only one female staff member handling everything. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, you can get a drink for around 400 yen. They also serve alcohol. The seats are spacious and the place is quiet, so I was able to relax to the fullest. It's great to be able to use the hotel café at this price.

I stayed here before, so this time I just wanted to have a quick drink. The food menu was more extensive than before. I ordered the Bagna Cauda, which paired perfectly with the beer I had. It was a good choice! There were a lot of people dining alone, so it's a place where you can easily stop by.

It's a café review. I ordered fish and chips for 700 yen because I was a little hungry. The fries are thin and the fish is small, so it seems like it can be shared with everyone as a snack. The portion is not that big! It comes with vinegar and tartar sauce, which is quite nice for vinegar lovers. I wish the fish was as big as they are overseas, but the cozy atmosphere is still the same. I'm satisfied because I can read here comfortably!

Considering the price, it's amazing for a hotel. The coffee, juice, nuts, and cookies are all delicious. I might try having dinner here next time.

Tonight, I had a meal with a beautiful customer who is also a well-known doctor at a major hospital where I am registered as a talent. I have been in the medical field for almost 30 years, but my area of expertise is quite narrow. I have known this doctor since the time of their residency, and they have become very famous in clinical practice. Their personality is very straightforward. I expected us to dine at a famous French restaurant in Nishi-Azabu or a sushi restaurant in Ginza, but to my surprise, the meeting took place at a restaurant in downtown Kinshicho called Napoleon. Kinshicho is near the popular motsunabe restaurant, Sanshiro, where we planned to go afterwards. Before heading to Sanshiro, we stopped by this designer hotel near the restaurant. The hotel was very stylish, and we enjoyed some orange juice while waiting. The female chief doctor who came with us arrived 30 minutes early and we had a pleasant conversation. Now, we are heading to the main attraction, the motsunabe restaurant Sanshiro. Thank you for the meal. The restaurant has a rating of 3.13 on Tabelog with 10 reviews as of January 2022.

First time at Moxy for lunch! I can really concentrate when reading or working here. I wish there were more places like this! This time, the accommodation was here... a casual hotel from the Marriott chain. Well, it was quite a unique hotel. The entrance was so flashy that I thought it was a wall (see photo). Nowadays, even love hotels don't have an entrance like this. Also, the staff were so lively, like at an Apple store. The front desk also served as a bar counter, and at night it felt like a club atmosphere. If you check in at night, you'll be surprised. The breakfast was served in metal dishes (like in Korea?), and I was shocked to see ramen for breakfast! I also noticed that the chopsticks and hairdryer were pink. The breakfast area was playing Bruno Mars loudly in the morning... this hotel seems to target people in their early 30s, probably. Anyway, it's amazing that Marriott approved such a hotel concept. They're acquiring SPG. By the way, the promotional video was quite stylish. This time I went as a "suit daddy," so next time I'll try a more casual look. I'll resist my age. Maybe after 2 or 3 more visits, I'll get used to it?

There are seats without backrests near the wall with power outlets, and a long table near the entrance. The long table is very quiet and great for working, but not ideal for web conferences. It's a good place for working quietly, but you need to order a drink every 2 hours, so it may not be cost-effective for long stays.
