Visited with 2 people around 7 pm on Friday. We were able to get in without a reservation. The cabbage appetizer was delicious with a tasty sauce. The portion sizes were just right, not too much or too little, and we felt satisfied. The "Mille-feuille Cheese Ham Cutlet" seemed to be a specialty, so we tried it as recommended by the staff. It was okay, but the fried chicken looked more appetizing. The air conditioning was a bit too strong, and the music inside was too loud, making it a bit difficult to have a conversation. We stayed for about 1.5 hours and then moved to another place for the second round. Personally, I would recommend this place for a quick drink rather than a long stay. There are plenty of bars in the Monzen-Nakacho area, so bar hopping can be enjoyable! The shredded cabbage salad (appetizer), whitebait with grated daikon, stir-fried pea sprouts, simmered clams, and Mille-feuille cheese ham cutlet were ordered. The premium Malt's draft beer, Diamond Me soda highball, and Diamond Me soda with lychee flavor were also enjoyed. The Diamond Me soda with lychee flavor was very easy to drink and highly recommended! Both the drinks and food were budget-friendly, which was great.

I stopped by while waiting for the portable shrine at the Fukagawa Hachiman Festival. It's a shop that mixes the lively atmosphere of the downtown area with a modern and clean feel. The prices are cheap! They have a variety of dishes that are perfect for drinking, such as pickled plums with whitebait, amberjack sashimi, and octopus with wasabi. The portions are small but cheap, so you can enjoy eating a lot. The taste is also quite good. Just be careful with the plum and whitebait fried rice and the sauce yakisoba we ordered last, as they came in quite large portions. The fried rice was particularly impressive with its crispy texture from the oil, rice, and plums. I had some sake options like Toku Takigawa and Kuzuryu that I liked. The unsweetened lemon sour was also unusual but goes well with any dish. Thank you for the meal.

This is a popular casual izakaya located right near the 1st exit of Toyosu-ichome Station in Koto-ku, Tokyo. When I visited around 6 pm on a Friday, the restaurant was already half full. Unfortunately, I couldn't take photos, so I'll leave a record here for reference.
- Otoshi (appetizer) @ 340 yen
- Cheese in Mille-feuille Ham Cutlet @ 770 yen
- Assorted skewers (5 pieces) @ 950 yen
- Sakamoto Shoten's Chicken Karaage @ 580 yen
- Adult Potato Fries @ 600 yen
The ham cutlet, karaage, and adult potato fries were recommended by the staff and were a must-try. The ham cutlet had plenty of melted cheese, the karaage was well-seasoned with a crispy coating, and the adult potato fries topped with sake lees were addictive.
Interestingly, they provided tea pickles along with the appetizer and suggested sprinkling it on the cabbage. Surprisingly, it was a great combination! It's a new discovery that I plan to try at home.
However, the offal in the skewer assortment had a strong smell, probably due to the fatty part not being cleaned properly. It was a bit disappointing.
I also enjoyed Imo (sweet potato) shochu and Mugi (barley) shochu from "Koshou Brewery" in Nichinan City, Kagoshima. The limited edition "Kura no Shi Kon" series was aged in turtle jars, resulting in a smooth and rich flavor. Personally, I felt the barley shochu retained a toasty aroma from normal pressure distillation, so I should have had it with water instead of carbonation.
This is a smoking-permitted establishment, so non-smokers may find it a bit challenging. The restaurant is quite lively and reminiscent of old-fashioned casual izakayas.

It's draft beer, but they have a special large size. The glass is quite heavy, but it adds to the drinking experience and the food is delicious as well. With a little effort, the food becomes so tasty. The restaurant is lively and popular, located just off Eitai Street.

I visited this place with a friend who smokes, back when it was still Saito Shoten. It had been a few years since my last visit. The first floor, which used to be non-smoking (I think), was packed with customers. It seems to have become even more popular now. We were served tea pickled seaweed as a complimentary appetizer, which had a flavor that would go well with alcohol (not too strong). We didn't end up using it, as we enjoyed the famous "Cheese-in-Mille-Feuille Ham Cutlet" and "Seared Shime Saba with Pickled Ginger" instead. There were groups of people playing Chinchirorin and they seemed to be having a great time. Thank you for the meal (I took the tea pickled seaweed home, is that okay?).

I enjoyed the recommended sake by a Japanese sake sommelier while ordering salt-grilled chicken skewers! The staff and the food were excellent! I will definitely come back again!

I might have had too high expectations. The ham cutlet was delicious! The alcohol is cheap, but I probably won't come back.

The shop name changed from Saito to Sakamoto and had a renewal opening, so I decided to come back after a long time! The interior of the shop is brighter and cleaner than before, and it seems like there have been quite a few changes in the products. The taste has also become very delicious, with many stylish, simple, and tasty dishes available! The staff is young, energetic, and full of vitality, creating a very pleasant atmosphere! I will definitely visit again! The simmered dish is recommended!

I used it on my day off. The shop is always crowded as I pass by it every day on my way home, so I was curious. Everything was delicious. The young staff members are working hard.

When it comes to Monzen-Nakacho, this is the place to go! The beer is cheap and the food is delicious. It's conveniently close to the station so I use it often. The ham cutlet and grilled pork skewers are delicious.
