After finishing the tour and going through security check before leaving, I asked if I could enter the cafeteria again just for dinner. I was told that unless I had business there, I couldn't enter again. I turned back and went to the cafeteria for dinner, even though it was a bit early. I probably won't come back again, so I took the opportunity today to talk to two lawmakers who were there for work. My friend had the Hayashi Rice (apparently quite sweet) and I had the Badge Curry (a new curry taste for me) for 750 yen. It was busy during lunch, but the woman at the ticket counter was kind and remembered me in the evening. She was handling everything by herself at night. She also served water and tea, very kind ❤️ Great service.

The company provided Chinese bento for welfare benefits, but most of us are on a diet so we couldn't eat it. During the break, I hurried to eat sushi. I was surprised when I entered! Sushi omakase was available at the counter, but there was no menu, so I decided to order the 2,600 yen omakase sushi next time. It's crowded this time, so it takes 20 minutes. The 1,200 yen scallops and squid are delicious ❤️ The salmon roe is a spill product in a mold (for conveyor belt sushi or delivery). The salmon roe is artificially hard and grainy, but it's cheap and the rice is very delicious, so I want to go eat omakase sushi, but apparently I can't go unless I have business with a member of the Diet. I want to see Shinjiro Koizumi, a member of the House of Councillors, whom I met at a festival in Yokosuka the day before ❤️ I wonder if there is a cafeteria on the House of Councillors side, just like on the House of Representatives side.

There's a place where you need to get a visitor pass to enter, claiming you have some business there. I usually only eat ramen or soba when I come here, so I decided to try something different today. Let's go with mapo tofu. It says it's supervised by a Chongqing restaurant. Could this be good? It's ready so quickly! Oh, this taste, it's just like... Marumiya mapo tofu but cheaper! But when I sprinkle the powdered Sichuan pepper from the small dish on top, what a surprise! It transforms into a Chongqing restaurant flavor...? No, it's still not good... Maybe it was better without it. And it cost 880 yen. The food court in the department store is much tastier. The politicians eat simple and plain food like this every day as they work for us, the citizens. Appreciate it. I'd like to try the sushi counter someday.

I had some business with a member of parliament, so I decided to have lunch at this cafeteria. There is a separate section for parliament members and regular customers, but you can still see inside the enclosed area, which triggers a sense of curiosity like "I wonder if that person is a member of parliament." I liked the system where you order at the register before entering, and while waiting in line, you can choose from food samples displayed. The menu was extensive, with sushi, Chinese, Japanese, and Western dishes available. The prices were also reasonable, which was nice. Since I was there, I decided to try something related to the parliament, so I ordered the "Emblem Curry" and the "Parliament Ramen." When I asked the parliament member's secretary for recommendations, they said, "Many people who come here choose these two dishes." The Emblem Curry was a bit disappointing with the curry spilling over the emblem, but it was surprisingly spicy and delicious. It came with a side salad. I didn't try the Parliament Ramen, but it was interesting to see the nori with the character "参" (meaning "parliament") written on it. There were three sheets of nori, but only one had the character "参." I thought it would make for a better photo if they served the nori separately, but that's not something to worry about unless you have business with a parliament member. It did make for a good conversation topic.

I went to the House of Councillors for a filming session for a certain political party's policy broadcast. We prepared in the morning and recorded short statements from several candidates in the afternoon. For lunch, we had a set meal similar to a Matsuhana-do bento. It was a traditional Japanese set meal, and although it was a bit pricey, it was decently tasty. Not explosively delicious, but okay for a lunch option. I would rate it at 65 out of 100.

I went to the House of Councillors to meet a certain teacher. Since there was no eel I was looking for and the sushi restaurant had a one-hour wait, I reluctantly had a seafood chirashi bowl (1200 yen) at the cafeteria area on my way back. I wonder if they use the same ingredients for the sushi as the sushi restaurant? It was quite delicious with plenty of toppings. The chawanmushi was piping hot, the miso soup had a strong dashi flavor, and there were plenty of young shoots! When you visit the House of Councillors, why not try visiting once.

This is a cafeteria located on the basement floor of the House of Councillors Members' Office Building. It is operated by Repasto, which also runs catering services, employee cafeterias, and restaurants. They offer a wide variety of dishes including sushi, Japanese, Western, noodles, and Chinese cuisine. You purchase a meal ticket at the entrance before selecting your food from the display case. Only cash is accepted. The seating area is open to the public, with a separate section for members of the House of Councillors. The atmosphere is more upscale compared to the House of Representatives Members' Office Building cafeteria. Just like the House of Representatives cafeteria, there is a sushi restaurant called Hatsuhana offering an omakase sushi set for 2600 yen. I tried the curry, which costs 750 yen and comes with a side salad. The curry was thick and flavorful, not very spicy. It had a decent amount of meat, although it was a bit tough. Overall, the curry was tasty and the portion size was good considering the price.

I ordered the Mini Negitoro Don and Warm Udon Set for 900 yen. I was debating between the Mini Katsudon Set, but I wanted to know the freshness of the negitoro and was in the mood for something refreshing, so I chose this. The taste was delicious! The udon had a good texture and the broth was tasty too! I was surprised that the soy sauce came in a bottle though. I never meet the congressman because the entrance is different, but I wonder if we pay the same amount? If this is the amount they take home, it must be great. In general, I think it would be a good deal if they included a salad, dessert, or a free drink here. By the way, my friend who was eating ramen had a special feeling seeing the seaweed shaped like a diamond with the character "参" (san) written on it (laughs).

This cafeteria is nothing special, but it is spacious with large seating capacity, making it convenient for gatherings with a large number of people. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including Chinese cuisine, so there is something for everyone. I tried the meat udon this time, and it was probably the best udon I've had. It had a fragrant yuzu flavor, plenty of meat, and the udon noodles were chewy. However, the broth was more like Kanto-style. A friend had the eel bowl, which was under 2000 yen, but they noted that it was not domestically sourced.

Detailed evaluation: 4 points Evaluation price / regular price 5000/2500 Indicator: Target dish: Chef's choice set Taste impression: Cheap and delicious, generous portions, even though it's a set, they also offer additional items as a service. I went to the Diet Member's Cafeteria in the National Diet Building for a filming of a certain political party. It felt like a cafeteria for the members of parliament, with separate sections for the general public and the MPs. There was also a sushi restaurant where the chef would make sushi for you at a reasonable price. I didn't have much time, so I opted for the tempura set meal. The taste was nothing special, but they emphasized the origin of the ingredients, like "from ○○ prefecture". The tempura set meal was priced at 970 yen, which seemed fair.

This time, I tried the cafeteria at the House of Councillors Members' Office Building. Compared to the House of Representatives' cafeteria, the katsu is delicious. However, the amount of sauce is too little compared to the rice, so this is not a good katsudon. The miso soup is also below average. The interior of the restaurant has a slightly stylish feel, but it is very disappointing. For katsudon, the House of Representatives is better.

theUpperHouse. A restaurant located in Nagatacho for members of the House of Councillors. I don't really have many opportunities to go there. But occasionally, it happens. So, I had lunch at the cafeteria downstairs. It's not particularly cheap, similar to a regular set meal place? "Japanese Set Meal A Miso Hamburger" for 730 yen. Side dishes included high-quality tofu and crab stick sauce. The main dish was the miso hamburger. It was a hit. The white rice was so good. The House of Councillors has been renovated for a few years now, and our tax money is being used for this too. Just like city halls and ward offices, they should open the cafeteria to the public. Some familiar faces of the members of parliament also use it, so maybe they can't allow just anyone to come in. Thanks for the meal.

I had some business here in the morning and afternoon, so I decided to have lunch. I purchased a meal ticket in advance and then took a seat. There are special seats for members of parliament with partitions by the window. By the way, there is also a special elevator for members of parliament, which the general public cannot use. They have something called a parliamentary bento, but it didn't really catch my interest. There are quite a variety of options, including Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, so you won't get bored. Among them, I ordered the Taiwanese-style spicy ramen. The noodles were thin, but the spiciness was completely absent. It tasted quite ordinary. By the way, on this day, as the election had just begun, I had some business in the cafeteria, hall, elevator, corridors, and rooms, but I didn't see any members of parliament. Thank you for the meal.

The building is called the Councilors' Hall, and despite the name, there are many meeting rooms underground. A lot of elderly groups occupy the dining area. It's not a cafeteria, but when you hand over your meal ticket, a server will bring your food to your table on a tray. The daily specials like sushi bowls and conger eel bowls arrived in less than a minute after ordering. The taste was just average. It's like a lunch at a sushi restaurant. The price of 800 yen is not a bargain, but considering the location, it's a good deal. They are open from morning to night, with a wide variety of menu items including Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes.

Omakase sushi is the best! This review is for two visits. For other expressions, please refer to the profile for emoticon explanations. Detailed rating: 4.5 points. Katsudon has a rating of 3. Price/regular price: 3500/2500 for omakase sushi and 600/800 for katsudon. Location: Basement of the House of Councillors. Target dish: Omakase sushi, with large and delicious toppings. Taste impression: Delicious. Katsudon is average. Atmosphere of the restaurant: Cafeteria. Staff: Good. Hygiene: Good. Points to note: *The cleanliness, service, dishware, and environment (smoking) can affect the taste of the food. 5 points: Only awarded to the favorite store in each category (e.g., one ramen shop, one curry shop). 4.5 and above: Would travel far and wait in line to use again. 4 points and above: Would use again, recommend to friends or for entertaining. 3.5 and above: Would put on the revisit list. 3 points and above: Would go if nearby, otherwise would look for other options. 2 points and above: Would look for other options, would not go on my own. 1 point: Would not go again, even if invited. 1 point or less: Not even considered food, should not be in the hospitality industry. *Even if it is 3.5 points or above, the rating may decrease if you get tired of the menu after a few visits.

The 2500 yen omakase sushi always comes out with more dishes than the set menu, and they even ask if you still have time and can eat more. The atmosphere at the counter is calm and the dining area has slightly more upscale seating. The staff is good and sees you off. The sushi is delicious and filling, and the katsudon in the dining area has a nostalgic taste. Overall, I am very satisfied with the affordable price and tasty food.

In front of the National Diet Building, on the opposite side of the main entrance, is the Diet Members' Building. There are four large buildings lined up: House of Representatives Member Building No.1, House of Representatives Member Building No.2, and the House of Councillors Member Building, each with 4 underground floors and 12 above-ground floors. Today's lunch is at the dining hall in the House of Councillors Member Building. The majority of users are related to the National Diet, such as those who have come for lobbying or sightseeing tours. Each of the member buildings has a dining hall on the basement floor, with the House of Councillors, Member Building No.2, and Member Building No.1 in that order in terms of reputation for taste. Today, I will have pasta as I had ramen last time. The menu includes a wide variety of options such as Japanese, Chinese, Western, ramen, pasta, sushi, etc. The prices are normal, not too high, and not particularly cheap, similar to eating out elsewhere. The system is the same for all dining halls, with payment in cash in advance. Seating is also free (except for members). I enjoyed the weekly pasta, it was delicious as usual.

I never thought the day would come when I would write a review in a place like this (laughs). I finished my errands early, so I was looking forward to having a delicious lunch in Tokyo, but I ended up here because of a senior colleague's invitation. I was too embarrassed to take a photo... you shouldn't expect anything here. But as I eat, I can't help but review it in my head, so please bear with me. <Sakura shrimp tempura soba> 651 yen (tax included). Zaru soba with a large tempura. The soba has a good texture but lacks aroma. Topped with chopped seaweed. The dipping sauce is probably store-bought. The tempura is also pre-made... well, I wasn't expecting much anyway. My senior colleague's Chinese rice bowl was also served as if it was just reheated. But we ended up chatting for an hour! I probably won't eat here again. Thank you for the meal.
