I visited the Italian restaurant "RISTORIA RADICE," which is one of the top 100 restaurants in the WEST area according to Tabelog. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Marutamachi Station, or a 15-minute taxi ride from Kyoto Station. The exterior of the restaurant has a chic feel, while the interior is warm and inviting with a wood-tone decor. There are 6 counter seats as well as table seating available. The service was very polite and friendly, creating a pleasant dining experience. The dishes were all carefully crafted and visually appealing. The flavors were also quite enjoyable. I tried the following dishes on this day: - Grissini with sesame seeds: The aroma of sesame seeds complements the grissini perfectly. - Fried moonlight lotus root with caviar and lemon sauce: The sweet moonlight lotus root is soft and delicious. - Raw moonlight lotus root: Crunchy and sweet, almost like a fruit. - Octopus and celery salad with fruit tomatoes, potatoes, and black olives. - Gnocchi fried with ricotta cheese and French ham: The combination of ham and fried bread is incredibly delicious. - Foie gras choux ice cream: Choux pastry infused with espresso. - Panzerotti filled with various ingredients: A delicious combination of flavors. - Himi tuna and herb carpaccio. - Rosemary focaccia: Rosemary adds a nice touch to the bread. - Raviolone with truffle, mushrooms, and root vegetable sauce: A large ravioli filled with egg yolk and served with a delicious mushroom sauce. - Abalone and black cabbage risotto with abalone liver. - Shinshu black beef rib, Takamine turnip, and parsley sauce. - Kochi Benitade smoothie. - Homemade squid ink spaghetti. - Strawberry and mozzarella cheese gelato. - Iced tea. - Hazelnut financier. - Pistachio gelato. - Passion fruit guimauve (marshmallow). I was looking forward to a date with a young person. Making a reservation for the only available table was the right choice. It seemed like a place where middle-aged men and women gathered nicely. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy it very casually. Above all, seeing autumn vegetables like this lifts my mood. Perhaps because of the location, the wine was also reasonably priced. I'll definitely be back!

It was a very cute restaurant. We were seated at a table with a view of the courtyard. The restaurant pays attention to the ingredients and presentation, and I was impressed not only by the food but also by the overall experience. Each dish was beautifully presented and satisfying to the eye. There was a substantial amount of food and variety, which might be too much for some women to finish. The chef's combinations of ingredients were adventurous and interesting.

A few minutes' walk from Marutamachi subway station, tucked away from the main street in a quiet location, this Italian restaurant is a great choice for a weekend lunch. I made a reservation with plenty of availability, even booking the day before. The interior has counter seats with a kitchen close by for a lively atmosphere, as well as tables in the back. We opted for the 15,000 yen course, which includes 9 dishes, dessert, petit fours, and bread. The portions were satisfying, starting with delicious appetizers and a cold pasta with abalone. The final dessert was particularly tasty. They also have a bar where you can enjoy sweets and drinks. The main dish was Kagoshima black wagyu sirloin, grilled over charcoal with a cherry blossom branch for added aroma. It was flavorful with just the right amount of fat, not heavy at all. We ended with squid ink pasta. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, and the chef's personality shines through, making it a truly delightful dining experience.

Visited a popular Italian restaurant in Kyoto in July with a budget of 23,000 yen. It was a delightful and delicious experience. The fantastic hospitality from Chef Nemoto was a highlight. The restaurant seemed busier with more staff and full of customers. They have reduced table seating to create a wine cellar room, making me want to host a wine party next time. Today's lunch was at Radi Che in Marutamachi. There were a few people in front of the restaurant, so I wasn't sure if I could go in, but I opened the door myself. The restaurant is small and cozy, fitting in with the renovated Kyoto streets. The menu included eel in sweet vinegar, corn chawanmushi with hairy crab, gnocco fritto with ricotta cheese and foie gras ice cream, marinarra (fried pizza) with sweetfish, dried tomatoes, shallots, and pickled scallions, cold whole wheat capellini with sea urchin, 3-year-aged sumo clam and girolle mushroom tagliatelle, tart with burrata cheese, tomato sherbet, and caviar, rosemary focaccia, red snapper with asparagus risotto, Shinshu black wagyu with Kamo eggplant and anchovy, muskmelon squash, tiramisu, mango and goat milk crepe with hazelnuts, pistachio cream, and raspberries. The restaurant uses a unique roaster, and the food is original and delicious. I was very satisfied with lunch, and I'm curious about dinner now. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

On April 29, 2023 (Saturday), we had a meal consisting of various dishes: mashed potatoes and mugwort puree, fresh sea urchin from Hokkaido sandwiched between blatter cheese and John Renant tomato caprese (served with caviar, clear tomato jelly, and John Renant tomato sorbet), gnocco fritto with ricotta cheese and Spanish ham, foie gras shoe ice (shoe pastry with espresso), carbonara using eggs from Nantani duck, white asparagus and Nantani duck ham, abalone, abalone liver, and carbornero, lightly grilled bonito, rosemary focaccia, edamame risotto with grilled nodoguro on top, grilled black wagyu beef from Kagoshima, grilled bamboo shoots with Marsala wine, passion fruit and coconut dessert, Amazon chocolate cake, pistachio gelato, hot coffee, Messina Villa Messina Sangiovese di Romagna Goldenza 2018 Noelia Rich.

I visited the Italian restaurant "RISTORIA RADICE" located in Kyoto. They received The Tabelog Award 2019 Bronze and were selected as one of the top 100 Italian restaurants in the WEST region by Tabelog in 2021. The restaurant is a 5-minute walk from Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line, located on Gojo-dori facing Isegawa-dori. It opened in December 2013 and is housed in a renovated old machiya building. The interior has a stylish and open atmosphere with a warm wooden feel. The counter seats offer a view of the espresso machine and large cured hams, providing an enjoyable view of the kitchen and lively performances. Chef Nemoto, who has experience training in Italy, also holds a sommelier qualification. Here is the menu I had today: - Shizuoka's colorful (tomato) cheese tart - Sformato Alpala (Sanuki no Mezame) Hokuyakai - French ham ricotta cheese Nyokofuritto - Foie gras and espresso choux ice cream - Squid ink panzerotti, firefly squid, caciocavallo - Toyama marinated medium fatty tuna with rapeseed and shallot sauce - Rosemary bread - Raviolone with black truffle and mushroom sauce - Abalone and black cabbage risotto - Kagoshima female beef rib, Top Field (onion) - Kiwi and cardamom sherbet - Classic tiramisu - Pistachio gelato marshmallow - Cappuccino A personal impression: - Squid ink panzerotti, firefly squid, caciocavallo: Typically made with mozzarella and tomato sauce, but the combination of caciocavallo and firefly squid's flavors and rich umami were excellent, making it a very delicious dish. I would like to try other variations of panzerotti in the future. This restaurant offers a casual atmosphere where you can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. I experienced the chef's dedication through the flavors. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

The Venus of cuisine has arrived! I was taken to a wonderful restaurant to celebrate Venus's birthday ❤️♡ The dishes by the chef who trained in Italy were amazing! Each bite of authentic Italian cuisine was so delicious and impressive! Especially the dumpling-like pizza and the pasta in a unique shape were incredibly tasty and unforgettable! The chef here trained in Emilia-Romagna and Cesenatico in Italy before further honing his skills domestically, opening his own restaurant in December 2013. In conclusion, I believe this restaurant deserves even higher praise than its rating on Tabelog. On this day, I opted for the "White Truffle Course" instead of the regular course. Despite the ban on importing Italian ham due to the African swine fever outbreak in Italy earlier this year, we were fortunate enough to enjoy the precious Culatello di Zibello. Each dish was delicious and satisfying. The chef's specialty, Panzarotti, was the MVP of the day. Additionally, a nationally renowned sommelier was present, and the wine pairings were excellent. Moreover, the chef shared a wealth of knowledge about white truffles and even conducted a mini white truffle seminar. Here are some key points I learned: - White truffles cannot be found in Alba. - White truffles in Alba are trademarked. - White truffle hunters require a difficult license. - Violations can result in license revocation. - There are 6 types of truffle-hunting dogs, with 2 allowed in the mountains, but only 1 can accompany the hunter. - White truffles come in various colors despite being called "white truffles." - In Japan, white truffles are often generalized. There are not many renowned Italian restaurants in Kyoto, so this was a pleasant surprise. I would love to visit again if given the chance. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Near Marutamachi Station in Kyoto, there is a popular Italian restaurant called "RISTORIA RADICE" that I was looking forward to having lunch at. The lunch consisted of only one course and I believe it was ¥7000. I started with a glass of sparkling wine and enjoyed a delicious potato crepe with caviar, followed by a traditional Italian dish called Gnocco Fritto, which was a fried bread served with prosciutto. For the main course, I chose the Danba Kogen pork loin with bone, accompanied by sweet cabbage and aromatic vegetables in a flavorful sauce. I also had the opportunity to choose a pasta dish, and I opted for the spicy Salsiccia and mushroom spaghetti, which was full of delicious flavors. The restaurant has a cozy and authentic Italian atmosphere, making it a great choice for a lunch gathering with friends or a romantic date. They also provide excellent service for families with young children. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

For my birthday dinner, I requested to visit here with my family. First, we were shown the ingredients for today. I was happy to see a lot of my favorite ingredients in season. There were three of us, so we sat at a table, but the counter seats looked nice too. The course meal had about 10 dishes with a variety of textures and flavors that were new to us. We were surprised with a birthday plate dessert from the restaurant when they realized it was my birthday. The service was excellent. It was a wonderful birthday celebration.
