Plat, today's lunch was an exploration around Oimachi Station in Oimachi-cho. Exiting the ticket gate of Keikyu Oimachi Station, you will find yourself facing Oimachi-cho Kyoeikai Shotengai. First, turn right and proceed straight through Oimachi-cho Kyoeikai Shotengai, then turn right before the Oimachi Nishi 4 signal on Toho Iida Street (Oni Tabi Street) and continue straight (towards Oimachi) for a while. On the right-hand side, you will find a commercial facility called "Machinoma Oimachi". Enter this "Machinoma Oimachi", go up to the second floor using the escalator in front, and turn left to find "Tontora Machinoma Store" at the 2nd-floor food court (Machinoma Kitchen) where I visited today. I entered the food court at 1:00 PM on a weekday. First, I looked around the food court to make my choice. I always end up at a steak restaurant, so today I chose Korean cuisine. I checked the menu at the counter of "Tontora" as well as the menu displayed on the signboard. The menu includes: TONTORA MENU, A: Single item, set meal, seafood pure natto stew, Yukkejang, drink set, rice set, drink and rice set, B: Half & Half set meal, C: Samgyeopsal set meal, D: Assorted meat set meal, KIDS MENU, SIDE MENU, ALCOHOL, SET DRINK. The signboard MENU (Set) includes stone bibimbap, pork garlic fried rice, pork kimchi fried rice, stone Dakgalbi, stone pork stir-fry, seafood Sundubu, Yukkejang, Budae Jjigae, Bone Hejangk, Kimchi Jjigae, Solontang, Miso Jjigae, Cold noodles, Bibim cold noodles, Kimchi Jeon, Seafood chive pancake, Chapchae, Tteokbokki, Rappoki. I chose the "Stone Bibimbap Set" which was not on the counter menu and ordered it from the female staff. After an 8-minute wait, the "Stone Bibimbap Set" was served. The set included stone bibimbap, soup, and 5 sheets of Korean seaweed. The stone bibimbap contained pork, bean sprouts, cow intestines, greens, chopped Korean seaweed, bean sprouts namul, kimchi, chopped kakuteki, egg, white sesame, and more. I thoroughly mixed it, broke the egg, and mixed it again. Then I made crispy rice in the hot pot by sticking rice to the pot. The pork chunks gave it a satisfying and delicious taste. The "wakame soup" was a salty-based soup with wakame, small shrimp, squid, and clam meat, creating a flavorful soup with seafood umami. The slightly salty soup was perfect with rice. I enjoyed the stone bibimbap with a good bite, rolled in Korean seaweed, and finished with the wakame soup. Today, I savored a satisfying stone bibimbap. Bon appétit!
