I had been interested in this shop since it was being built. The straightforward name of the shop attracted me. It's underground so I couldn't see the inside of the shop, but I decided to go alone. I sat at the counter and first ordered a White Hoppy set for 480 yen. The menu seemed a bit limited, with mostly fried dishes, so I hesitated on what to order. Eventually, I decided on the Yagen cartilage Karaage for 480 yen and the octopus and cucumber salad for 680 yen. The Yagen Karaage seemed very reasonable when comparing price and portion size. It was a lightly battered fried dish. The staff were all very friendly and I had a pleasant drinking experience. I would like to come back with a few friends next time and try more dishes.

I visited a company gathering at an "Otsukaresama" party. The restaurant is located about a 5-minute walk from Shinbashi Station. Since all the participants were of a mature age, we decided to order à la carte instead of a course menu. We used the modern style of ordering through QR codes with our smartphones. The seared fatty tuna and cured mackerel were visually stunning and a big hit! We also ordered a sashimi platter, tuna tartare with salmon roe, today's seafood salad, octopus tempura, fish bone crackers, 5 pieces of fresh oysters, and a variety of pickles. Everything was perfect for pairing with drinks. Since everyone in our group loves alcohol, the focus was more on drinks than food. We started with a toast of draft beer, then enjoyed craft beers from Sumida River Brewing, Chita Highball, Gosen Karakuchi Genmaicha Highball, plum wine soda, and a selection of sake including Kido, Saku, Jikomi, Shinsei Amaneko, and more. We had a great time without worrying about the cost, and although it ended up being a bit pricey, we were satisfied. The staff were young and energetic, creating a lively atmosphere typical of Shinbashi.

If you walk from Shinbashi Station towards Toranomon, you will come across a popular izakaya located underground just after turning left at the intersection where a building that recently caused a stir due to a gas explosion is located. As the name suggests, this izakaya offers plenty of fish dishes at a reasonable price, but it seems you cannot enter without a reservation. Today, I had the 2.5-hour all-you-can-drink course with oyster dishes. It was supposed to be 8 dishes, but each dish was substantial, making it feel like an 8-course meal. The appetizer and side dishes at the beginning were surprising, and I was drawn in by the sight and aroma of the seared mackerel. After that, sashimi, grilled fish, and fried dishes kept coming one after another. Well, we chose the all-you-can-drink course because there is one heavy drinker in our group, but in the end, the quality and quantity of the food were great, and the cost performance was really good.

My wife made a reservation for us at a restaurant known for its delicious fresh oysters. The oysters were large, creamy, and flavorful, with a satisfying texture. They were so good that we ordered more. The sashimi was also good, but the portions were small and didn't fill us up. Is this common in Shinbashi? The total bill came to 10,849 yen, including a table charge, sashimi, bottled beer, oysters, umeshu, chilled tomatoes, sake, fried potatoes, silver cod, and highballs.

I visited the restaurant on a regular night and it was almost full, bustling with customers! The menu was extensive and I had a hard time deciding what to order, but the standout dish was the "torotaku"! It was topped with plenty of salmon roe and rolling it up in seaweed made it absolutely delicious ☺️ I definitely want to visit this place again.

We ordered the 4980 yen course! This is our second visit and we came with 5 friends. The food is delicious and there are many types of sake available for all-you-can-drink. There are some high-quality brands available, so sake lovers will be delighted. Next time, I want to try a la carte instead of the course, even though it won't include all-you-can-drink, they have brands like Shinsei available, so I want to go and enjoy a leisurely drink.

Today, I visited the restaurant with a close junior colleague after a long time. We went to Uoyaki Otoko as he suggested. I'm not familiar with the shops in Shinbashi, so I searched on Tabelog and made a reservation for a course with all-you-can-drink sake from 47 prefectures of Japan (4,980 yen). We started with a toast with beer! And immediately, small dishes and salad arrived. It's nice that the food comes quickly! From the second drink onwards, we switched to sake. Originally, it seems that we should have ordered a sake bottle and cups, but since my junior colleague and I wanted different sake, we asked if we could have it poured into glasses, and they kindly agreed! Thank you♪ In the end, the two of us enjoyed over 20 different types of sake. The sashimi was fresh and chewy, and the seared mackerel was large and the fat melted quickly when seared at the table, making it delicious. The Nishikyo-yaki was rich in flavor and went well with the sake! (It was so delicious that I wanted seconds) The staff explained the dishes carefully. It was delicious. I will definitely visit again!

I met up with two friends from my college days at a restaurant that one of them had reserved for us. The restaurant is located about a 4-5 minute walk from JR Shinbashi Station, either from the Karasumori or Hibiya exits, and is also close to the Toei Subway Mita Line's Uchisaiwaicho Station. The entrance is down a staircase facing the street on the basement level. I arrived a bit late, and my friends were already enjoying a drink, so we started with a toast of draft beer. The menu offers a variety of sashimi and fried dishes. I particularly enjoyed the scallop sashimi topped with salmon roe and herring roe. At one point, a staff member brought a QR code to our table and asked us to place our orders using our smartphones. We browsed the menu while tapping away on our phones. From the second drink onwards, we each chose our favorite drinks. One friend had a highball, while I switched to sake. There was a large menu detailing sake from all 47 prefectures available for drinking in the restaurant, with flavor profiles marked for each sake. Even if you're not familiar with a certain sake, you can easily find one that suits your taste. For my first drink, I had a sake I knew from Akita called Karahou, and for the second, I tried Izumibashi from Kanagawa for the first time. The staff brought the bottle to our table and poured it into our glasses right in front of us, allowing us to admire the bottle and label. It was a visually appealing experience. The gathering ended smoothly after two hours, with a promise to meet again. Everyone had become more sophisticated in their drinking habits.

The restaurant is spacious, so there was no line, but it took about 15 minutes for the food to arrive, probably due to the lunch rush. I ordered the satisfying lunch set where you can choose two main dishes. I chose the daily special Okime-tai Saikyo-yaki (grilled fish) and sashimi. The grilled fish was flavorful and a good portion size. The sashimi, to be honest, lacked a bit in freshness, but it wasn't bad at all, so it was acceptable. The set came with a small salad, rice, miso soup (without ingredients), and a side dish that you could refill, all for 1000yen, which was incredibly cost-effective. If you enter before 12 pm or after 1 pm, you can even get a 100yen discount. I really liked it and will definitely go again. I went out for drinks with my work friends and we randomly decided to try this restaurant. We had no prior information, but it turned out to be a great choice. The special fish of the day (I think it was yellowtail) was incredibly delicious! It had a rich flavor, and to think it was only 1000 yen! I skipped the sashimi this time, but I might try it next time I go.

The 6-person booth was almost empty, and we were seated at a table for 2. It felt like they were filling up from the back. We ordered the "Yakio Satisfaction Set Meal" for 1,000 yen (tax included), which includes rice, miso soup, and unlimited refills of small side dishes. For the meat, we chose chicken karaage, pork belly cartilage stew, and ginger pork. For the fish, we chose the daily special, Okimeji sea bream marinated in miso, sashimi trio, fried horse mackerel, and simmered mackerel in miso. You can choose two main dishes from the meat and fish options. Our choices were the ginger pork and the Okimeji sea bream marinated in miso. The dishes arrived in about 5 minutes. The meal also came with a salad and three small side dishes. The ginger pork consisted of thinly sliced pork belly pieces in a slightly sweet soy sauce-based marinade. It was delicious and went well with the rice. The Okimeji sea bream marinated in miso was flavorful and the fish was tender and fatty. It paired perfectly with the miso marinade. The miso soup was also rich in fish flavor. In the end, we were completely full and couldn't order any more. We enjoyed both the meat and fish dishes and left feeling extremely satisfied. This place is a great choice when you're craving fish but also want to enjoy some meat.

There are many types of sake in Japan! It's easy to decide which one to choose because all the flavors are written. It's also great that you can order with your smartphone. The swordfish tempura was so delicious that I couldn't stop drinking! The staff's service was also excellent. You can even have sake poured from a one-liter bottle right in front of you.

The restaurant is quite spacious, so you can easily get a seat even if you arrive a little after noon. I chose the Yaki-Otoshi Satisfaction Set for 1,000 yen (tax included), which includes rice, miso soup, and unlimited refills of small side dishes. You can choose two main dishes from the following options: chicken Karaage, pork belly and cartilage stew, pork ginger stir-fry, grilled Okimeji sea bream, 3 kinds of sashimi, horse mackerel fry, and mackerel miso stew. I chose the chicken Karaage and mackerel miso stew. After waiting for about 20 minutes, the meal finally arrived. It was served on a large tray with a variety of dishes. The mackerel was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of miso sauce. The chicken Karaage was large and juicy, with a soft coating. The lunch was quite filling and satisfying. The ability to mix and match different dishes was also a great feature.

Today, I went to explore lunch options in the Shinbashi area. Since the market was closed, I wasn't sure if I could have some fish, but I was intrigued by the manga-style rice bowl at Mailebi-san's place, so I decided to visit. I ordered the "Treasure Island Bowl" for 1200 yen, but got a 100 yen discount, so it came to 1100 yen. The bowl included tuna, salmon, ikura, negitoro, bonito, sea bream, sweet shrimp, and yellowtail, along with three small side dishes, salad, and miso soup. I was tempted by the grilled mackerel of the day, but I ultimately chose the seafood bowl, which was just the right amount of sashimi and rice. The rice was not vinegared, but it was still delicious. You can get refills for the miso soup and small side dishes, and you can also get a refill for rice with the set meal. As per Mailebi-san's information, there is a 100 yen discount if you arrive before 12 PM, which was much appreciated. The lunch menu is only available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and the seafood bowl is only available on Wednesdays. Next time, I think I'll try the "Yakio Da Manzoku Set Meal," which seems to offer the best value. Originally, I was planning to visit the neighboring restaurant "Imari," but they are closed for lunch on Wednesdays. It seems to be a restaurant related to "Wakai" in Uchimori, offering a variety of fish-related set meals. Since "Wakai" stopped serving lunch, I might visit this place more often since it's affordable and delicious, thanks to Mailebi-san's post which saved me from being a lunch refugee. I was the first customer at the popular Fishyaki Otoko Shinbashi Honten, a favorite among hungry salarymen in Shinbashi. When I couldn't decide between meat or fish, I opted for the satisfying 1000 yen "Yakio Oomansoku" set, which includes pork ginger stir-fry and black rockfish with Nishikiyaki sauce on a generous portion of rice. The set also includes two main dishes, four side dishes, and unlimited refills of fish head soup. The black rockfish with Nishikiyaki sauce was served with grated daikon, and I enjoyed the pork ginger stir-fry with mayonnaise on top of the rice. The lotus root and greens stir-fry, daikon and burdock root stew, and chicken and cabbage stir-fry were all great accompaniments to the rice. I finished off the meal with a salad and miso soup. When I went to pay, I was pleasantly surprised by the early bird discount of 900 yen. It was a great deal and I left feeling very satisfied.

I felt like eating fish dishes, so I decided to visit a restaurant in Shinbashi that I had bookmarked. The restaurant I chose was "Yakiotoko Shinbashi Main Store". I requested a course for the first time. I had high expectations for a fish restaurant, and it did not disappoint! The seared mackerel served right in front of us was both enjoyable and delicious. We opted for the all-you-can-drink option, and were pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of drinks available. I ended up drinking quite a lot due to the fun of choosing. I brought along someone I am indebted to this time, and they loved it so much that they made a reservation to bring their business partners next time before leaving.

You can get a discount of 100 yen if you avoid peak hours before 12:00 and after 13:00. My favorite is the satisfying set meal where you can choose two main dishes. Personally, I prefer to choose two fish dishes. There are also plenty of side dishes, so I think it's well balanced.

We reserved a table for a company drinking party at 6 pm and were able to enter smoothly. It was so busy that we wouldn't have been able to get in without a reservation. The logo here is cute and impressive. The sashimi and namerou were excellent, as well as the other dishes. I want to go back again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

A few minutes' walk from Shimbashi Station, there is a staircase leading underground as the entrance. It was crowded to the point where it seemed like Corona had no effect. That's how popular it is. I ordered a beer first and waited. The beer and appetizers arrived quickly. There were two appetizers. I can't remember what they were, but they were delicious. I believe that a restaurant with delicious appetizers is never a disappointment, so at this point, I was convinced that this was a great restaurant. We ordered sashimi, teppanyaki beef, and other dishes. We started with the teppanyaki beef. Even though it was supposed to be a fish-focused meal, the sizzling teppanyaki beef was incredibly tasty. I think it was beef loin, but I can't remember. I paired the medium-rare meat with a delicious sauce and drank my beer in one go. Then came the fish dishes and other items, all of which were delicious. Especially the seared mackerel for the finish was big and satisfying. The restaurant's specialty seems to be Japanese sake. They offer all-you-can-drink sake from all 47 prefectures. We didn't opt for the all-you-can-drink option this time since it was a business dinner, but I regretted it. I ended up enjoying the variety, uniqueness, and deliciousness of the sake. It might be too casual for a formal business dinner, but I think it's a good choice for entertaining close clients.
