Just a little way into the entrance of Jizo Street Shopping Arcade from Sugamo Station, you'll notice the bright lights on a dark street. "Yakitori Kushi KING" is probably a popular yakitori restaurant among the locals. The interior is not very spacious, but it has a casual atmosphere with a decent number of customers. We ordered a yakitori assortment, potato salad, tonkatsu, and umeshu. The simple flavors of this casual eatery are reasonably priced. They are open late into the night, so it's bustling even in the late hours. Thank you for the meal.

From Sugamo Station to Togetsu-nuki Jizo. It is located just around the corner from the intersection of Togetsu-nuki Jizo. The interior has a counter and table seating. There are 5 customers in 3 groups, all regulars, bustling at the counter and nearby tables. Started with a bottled beer (600 yen including tax) Super Dry. No cover charge. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including items listed on the blackboard and the regular menu. Seseri (180 yen including tax) was voluminous. Sunagimo (130 yen including tax) had a nice chewy texture. Hatsumoto (160 yen including tax) was juicy and delicious. Nankotsu (160 yen including tax) was a favorite with meat attached. They carefully grilled each item and served it as soon as it was ready. Basashi (680 yen including tax) had firm lean meat. Avocado Nori Wasabi (400 yen including tax) had plenty of seaweed and wasabi. Ordered additional Shiratare (170 yen including tax) as the yakitori was delicious. Also ordered a bottle of Sake Kinmiya 600ml (1300 yen) with a corn tea mixer (450 yen). Had other dishes as well but had to leave as I was invited to another restaurant. I don't like smoking, but I will definitely visit again.

I arrived at around 19:00, it's been about 2 years since I last came. I had a meeting in Shinbashi and this is on my way back. They have a wide variety of options and everything is delicious. The grilled rice ball used to come in a set of two, but now it's just one. I remember it used to come with chicken soup, but that seems to be gone now. It's a bit disappointing. It's still reasonably priced, but I feel like the portion size has gotten smaller.

I went late, so many yakitori items were sold out, so I ordered some appetizers. Everything I ate was delicious, and the freshly fried chicken karaage was very tasty. The stir-fried pea sprouts had a strong garlic flavor and were irresistible. Lastly, I tried the curry cold noodles for dessert, and it was a critical hit! It was incredibly delicious! Even compared to a certain famous curry noodle shop in Roppongi, it was just as good.

Recently, they have started offering lunch menus temporarily due to the current situation. I decided to try it out and ordered the Chicken Nanban set meal. The tartar sauce was delicious, and I found myself wanting to eat it with the vegetable sticks. The chicken pieces were large, juicy, and satisfying, just as you would expect from a yakitori restaurant. The set meal also came with rice, miso soup, pickles, and salad, all for only 750 yen. It's a great deal and probably only available for a limited time, so be sure to check it out!

Despite thinking that I should refrain from excessive eating and drinking lately, I ended up coming here anyway, haha. I started by ordering the grilled eggplant with bonito flakes, followed by 6 skewers of yakitori including chicken liver, heart, spicy cod roe with chicken breast, and chicken thigh, haha. Even though I've been coming here for years, I just found out that they have a menu item called "hiyamugi" (cold noodles). It seems to be available only during the summer. As a fan of cold noodles, I had to order it, and it was delicious!! I discovered a new menu item, so next time I might try something I haven't eaten before, haha.

I visited the yakitori restaurant "串KING" located about a 3-minute walk from Sugamo Station North Exit on the JR Yamanote Line. This is becoming my favorite go-to spot, as I have been going there quite often recently. I went there again after work because I finished late and wanted to have a light drink. I ordered the usual whale sashimi, and also tried the chicken thigh tataki for the first time. I enjoyed a platter of assorted yakitori along with drinks. The Kinmiya highball with lemon was really delicious when I added some cut lemon to it.

I leave it up to the restaurant whether to have it with sauce or salt, haha. Yep, "串KING" is tasty!

The menu may be limited, but everything is delicious and reasonably priced! Especially the liver! It's cooked perfectly without any unpleasant smell, tender and melts in your mouth. The chicken skin is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The atmosphere is a bit lively with young staff, but it's a popular spot with regular customers. It might be the most affordable and tasty yakitori restaurant in the area.

There aren't many shops open late, but there's a place called "串KING" that stays open until 2 am! It's not on the main street, but a bit into a residential area near Jizo Street, I think. I saw a big Jizo statue, so I think that's the symbol of the area. The reviews are mixed, but I decided to check out the menu and was pleasantly surprised to find they also offer fish dishes. I didn't end up eating much yakitori, as the grilled fish carpaccio was amazing! The horumon stir-fry was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the miso fried rice was unexpectedly delicious! Overall, it was a great find!

I casually found this shop and decided to go in. But now it has become one of my favorite places! The yakitori is small but very delicious! The side dishes and ramen are also great! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. The only downside is that there is a bit of a cigarette smell... It would be nice if they could ventilate the place a bit more!

It's good (^｡^) It had been a while since I visited Kushi King. The yakitori was delicious, and the mackerel was also great. The beef tripe sashimi and meat miso cucumber were also tasty. The yakitori bowl was excellent too. All the staff were friendly. It's a place I wish was near my house. Lately, it's been crowded, so I recommend making a reservation before going. I stayed in Sugamo for a business trip and found KINGさん on the way to the hotel. Their grilled chicken was juicy and the liver was well prepared. Even the potato salad was delicious. If I'm in Sugamo again, I will definitely consider going there. Thank you for the meal!

The prices are cheap and the taste is good at this newly opened restaurant. The food is a bit salty but it suits my taste. They also serve grilled rice balls and rich soup as a service at the end. It's a thoughtful and hospitable service.

Do you think all yakitori restaurants are the same? If so, you should definitely try going to Kushi KING. In addition to skewers, they also have a wide variety of small dishes, so it's a great place to enjoy whether you're in a large group or a small group, or even by yourself. You won't regret it!

I went with my girlfriend during the consecutive holidays. The purpose was to change the phone carrier at the Bic Camera in Yurakucho. We didn't eat or drink from lunchtime until around 8 pm. I had already decided on the model and plan, but in the end, I couldn't enter the carrier because I didn't have identification. My girlfriend had to change the carrier instead. I was frustrated and decided to look for a cell phone shop near the hotel in Sugamo. I had checked a shop that said they could seat us with a phone reservation, but we still had to wait outside for 5 minutes. When we were finally seated, I noticed that the menu was limited, with about 15 customers and 2 staff members. We ordered some raw fish, rice balls, and skewers. The raw fish and appetizer cabbage arrived quickly, so we shared one plate of cabbage due to hunger. After waiting for 20 minutes, the skewers arrived. We then ordered more appetizers and rice balls. The skewers were delicious and quickly finished. After waiting for 10 more minutes without the rice balls or appetizers arriving, we decided to leave and pay the bill. The rice balls and appetizers were deducted from the bill. Overall, I think this place should hire more staff. We ended up going to a ramen shop afterwards, feeling exhausted.

Highly recommend the Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette)! It is very delicious. I also tried the Kirin Lager beer, which was unusual but good!
