Located just a 3-minute walk from Kinshicho Station North Exit, this newly opened cafe-style restaurant offers authentic Thai cuisine using fresh herbs. The modern and stylish interior of the restaurant creates a casual and trendy atmosphere. The restaurant prides itself on serving modern Thai dishes that cannot be found elsewhere. They source Thai herbs from contracted farmers in Japan, allowing customers to enjoy the unique aroma and freshness of the herbs in their dishes. We opted for the chef's special course, which required a reservation.
First up was the appetizer, Myang Kam. This dish featured a vibrant mix of Thai herbs such as Bai Cha Plu (wild betel leaf), chili, dried shrimp, coconut, galangal, peanuts, red shallots, lime, along with a special sauce and salted squid toppings. It was a unique and flavorful dish that we had never tasted before. Next, we enjoyed fresh vegetables wrapped in pork and egg, as well as steamed Thai vegetables with three different dips. The dips, made from fermented ingredients, offered a variety of new flavors.
For soup, we had Malaya Sayam Soup, which consisted of bitter gourd filled with pork mince and glass noodles. We also tried fermented pork sausages, spare ribs, and Homok Gai (steamed chicken curry paste). The main dishes included Leng Saeb (pork backbone soup) and Kaokruk Gapik. The meal ended with a warm dessert called Buatloy Coconut.
To accompany the meal, we enjoyed a selection of drinks including Singha beer, coconut juice, Butterfly Pea Tea, Thai-style milk tea, and a refreshing Coriander Mojito. Overall, the experience was delightful, with a wide range of unique Thai dishes and herbs to savor. The restaurant is a great choice for those who love authentic Thai cuisine and fresh herbs. We, a group of four food enthusiasts, had a satisfying dining experience and would definitely consider returning for more.
