Added photos from the past. 【Nov 2009】My 6th visit this year. I used to come here 2-3 times a week, but this year I've been neglecting it due to lack of time. However, the taste and atmosphere remain unchanged. The clientele is mostly 4-5 people who seem to know how to enjoy themselves. This time, I went with 4 other guys and ended up spending around 22,000 yen due to drinking too much sake. But everyone was satisfied and we headed to a second location. 【Mar 2009】Located on the 2nd floor of Sansquare Building above Kachidoki Station. The area around Kachidoki Bridge (near Denny's) has been redeveloped, and most nearby shops have relocated to this building. The landlady runs the place with a strong presence. There are 16 sunken kotatsu-style seats, 24 table seats, and about 8 counter seats. It gets crowded around 8 pm, so it's best to arrive early. As it's in Tsukiji/Kachidoki, they have a good selection of fish, but the highlight here is the cost performance of their sashimi. It's best to order slightly less than the number of people in your group. Ordering a hot pot for everyone can be overwhelming. They also have a variety of dishes for when you get tired of raw food, like the "meat and tofu" dish which is a must-try for two people. The "potato salad" is a popular menu item that sells out quickly. The quality of their salted fish is high, with juicy "overnight dried gizzard shad" and large-sized saffron cod available. The "squid and long onion (sometimes with onion) soy sauce butter stir-fry" is also recommended. I usually go with a group of 4 or more, and we start by pre-ordering the sashimi platter and potato salad, then enjoy steamed edamame and saury while waiting. With a combination of sashimi, shochu, and sake, we eat and drink until we're full, spending around 5,000 yen per person. If you stick to shochu, it's around 3,000 yen per person. The cooking is done by the landlady, her son (?), and one other person, so it may take some time from ordering to serving. But they never serve pre-made dishes, so take your time and enjoy.
