I visited Galera with a friend for a lively gathering. It was a Sunday at 5 pm and the place was already bustling with activity. The atmosphere was great, just like I remembered. Galera Tachikawa is a place filled with elements that make gatherings fun. We visited a total of 4 places that night and had a blast. Starting off at Galera sets the tone for the rest of the night, and we decided to kick things off with fresh oysters and champagne. It was a rare and exciting experience that got us all in high spirits. The key to a successful gathering is keeping a good tempo, and Galera definitely delivered. We enjoyed a set menu of oysters and drinks, and then moved on to our second stop feeling happy and slightly tipsy. Galera is a versatile place where you can relax and enjoy a variety of dishes. The teamwork between the different shops in Galera adds to the cozy atmosphere. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for a great time.

This is a shop with various types of oysters. Today, I tried the Hokkaido Senpoushi oysters, Miyagi Shizugawa oysters, and Iwate Rikuzentakata 3-year oysters. They were all delicious, but I think the Senpoushi oysters were my favorite. The oyster gratin was also incredibly tasty. I would like to go back and take my time next time!

High school friends gathered for drinks in Tachikawa, which is easily accessible for everyone as they usually meet in Hachioji. Last week, they discovered a great restaurant in Tachikawa. One of the friends suggested it, and they decided to go there together. The place seemed like a warehouse food stall village, and each restaurant had designated seats. If their desired restaurant was full, they could wait at another place. One of the friends loved oysters, so they chose a restaurant that offered a variety of oysters from different regions. They ordered three types of oysters and white wine, including an Ahijo with Seto Inland Sea oysters, a Bagna Cauda with Kamakura vegetables, and grilled oysters. The oysters were from different regions such as Shizugawa and Yonezaki in Miyagi, and Kunbokimori in Hokkaido. The grilled oysters were from Maruemon in Akkeshi, Hokkaido, known for their rich flavor. They enjoyed three glasses of white wine and the delicious oysters, planning to visit the restaurant again.

There is an oyster bar located within a food market where various drinking establishments in Tachikawa gather. I ordered a set of two types of fresh oysters and champagne to start. It took a bit of time for the oysters to arrive, but I enjoyed the extra wait as they were delicious. It's great that you can easily move to another shop after casually eating some fresh oysters.

Tachikawa drinking. At the same food market as the New York spring roll, my friend suddenly wanted to eat oysters and dragged me along. We ordered ◆Champagne Set◆Heineken Set, each with oysters from ・Shizugawa, Miyagi ・Mushiakari, Okayama Additionally, we added ◆Yonesaki, Iwate ◆Moji, Fukuoka Yeah, oysters are delicious indeed. It's a tradition to have a feast where we devour a dozen of raw oysters during the season, making us feel luxurious with the mineral-rich oysters all over our bodies. However, when we eat a large quantity, our attachment to each individual oyster diminishes, and the way we savor them becomes more careless. Raw oysters are similar to high-end Bonbons Chocolat, where we wouldn't gobble up a 3000 yen set of luxurious Bonbons Chocolat with the same excitement as chocolate balls. Raw oysters are meant to be savored slowly, one piece at a time, with care and appreciation. Among the ones we ate that day, the 3-year-old oyster from Rikuzentakata stood out with its rich sweetness and depth, which I really liked.

VIGO OYSTERBAR (3-4 minutes walk from Tachikawa Station on the JR Chuo Line) on February 2, 2023 (Saturday) was a great choice for a post-band rehearsal dinner with my husband. We arrived around 18:00 (the restaurant opens at 12:00) and were seated immediately with 2-3 other groups already inside. There was no waiting line when we left. We ordered: - Heineken: 580 yen - Sparkling apple juice: 500 yen - Assorted oysters: 1,280 yen - White wine steamed mussels: 680 yen - Herb butter grilled clams: 680 yen - Shrimp cocktail (6 pieces): 780 yen My impressions: Taste: ★★★☆☆ Atmosphere: ★★★★☆ Service: ★★★☆☆ Cleanliness: ★★★☆☆ The customers that day were mostly pairs of men and women or groups of two men. Overall, I had a great experience at VIGO OYSTERBAR. The oysters we tried were delicious and fresh, without any hint of a fishy taste. I would definitely visit again and indulge in more oysters next time.

First of all, the menu was hard to read and confusing. There was no greeting or guidance to a table, so it was unclear where to sit. It was also difficult to tell who the staff were. When I called to order, both the sushi chef and the regular staff responded, making it confusing. The raw oysters were very creamy and delicious! The beer and 2 raw oyster set was a great deal and very satisfying. The staff seemed busy drinking wine and eating oysters, and not even seating customers - which made me wonder about the restaurant's service standards.

Review: Visited Galera Tachikawa with a friend who lives in the area. It's like a fancy food court with around 10 different food options within a 30-second walk. We stopped by Vigo, an oyster bar, for a great deal - two oysters and a glass of white wine for less than 1,200 yen. The Hokkaido and Iwate oysters were big and delicious, and the wine paired perfectly with them. It's a perfect spot for a first or second round, and you can easily move on to a third spot with Tachikawa noodles nearby. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!

I'm back again. Galera is my favorite place for drinking in Tachikawa♩ Last time I came was during Golden Week and it was crowded around 7 pm, so this time we started drinking around 4 pm. lol They have a set with 2 oysters and 1 glass of wine which is a good deal, so we started with that. There are 10 stores inside Galera Tachikawa, so we save on ordering and move on to the next store!

The spaghetti aglio e olio and salad lunch set comes with a discount on alcohol. The oysters are highly recommended, but the oyster spaghetti was disappointing with too much yellow oil and no spiciness despite the presence of chili. The gratin ordered by a friend was also not as expected. It's a hassle to pay separately for items from the cafe menu. The coffee included in the lunch set is paid for separately. Both my husband and friend loved the oysters they had before, so if I were to revisit, I would definitely go for the oysters.

The final chapter of the Tokyo Flea Market Edition held at the Green Cultural Zone of Showa Memorial Park. My wife and I enjoyed the flea market and it was past 11:30, so we were starting to get hungry. We visited a trendy shopping mall called "Green Springs" along the monorail near Tachikawa Station. We stopped by a few interesting shops and then headed to the Food Express food truck in the Public Square for tacos, and then to "hareruya" for Taiwanese-style mixed noodles, juicy dumplings, and highballs. Our appetites were satisfied, so we headed to an oyster bar inside the food market "Galleria Tachikawa" located slightly east of Tachikawa Station North Exit. The oyster bar was highly praised by the food critic Mairevi Sh. Galleria Tachikawa is a stylish food market with various food stalls, including sushi, yakitori, champon, oden, and more. We sat at the counter in front of a glass case filled with large oysters and ordered oysters and drinks. The oysters were from Hyogo and Hokkaido, cleaned for 60 hours, and were delicious. We also tried the oyster gratin, which was hot and flavorful, and the oyster tasting set. The experience was delightful and we enjoyed every bite.

Time information Date and time: Monday, around 7:00 pm Reservation: Not required Waiting time: None Number of people: 1 person Seating: Counter Frequency: First visit Stay: 1 hour 20 minutes Payment: Cash Food menu - 3 kinds of oysters (raw) ¥1,180 (excluding tax) - Shaved truffle potato salad ¥450 (including tax) - Herb butter grilled clams ¥680 (excluding tax) - Setouchi-produced real oysters and pancetta, chicory peperoncino ¥1,180 (excluding tax) Drinks menu - Acquesi Rosato Brut ¥800 (excluding tax) - Ch. Mercian Fuefuki Koshu Gris de Gris ¥900 (excluding tax) Good points - Enjoy a variety of oysters - Wide selection of wines Bad points - Inconsistent service quality among staff Other notes - Located in the commercial facility Galeria Food Market - Some menu items are prepared at Galera Press Coffee Overall impression During Golden Week, my food log timeline was filled with oyster bar and pasta posts for some reason. Every time I saw a post by Mairevi, my craving for oysters and pasta deepened. However, due to a tightly packed schedule during Golden Week, I couldn't move freely. So, on the Monday after the holiday, I quickly visited VIGO OYSTERBAR to satisfy both cravings. This restaurant is located inside Galeria Tachikawa. Upon arrival, there were available seats, and I quickly took a seat at the counter. There are also tables behind the counter. There were about 4 staff members, some of whom were friendly, while others were not as much. However, basic communication was possible, so it didn't affect my enjoyment of the meal. The background music, featuring artists like Harold van Lennep and Max Manie, had a nice electronic vibe. Is Galeria always like this? Well, let's start with raw oysters and wine. There was a set that included raw oysters and wine, but since I wanted to try a rose wine and the wine selection was extensive, I opted for individual orders. The Acquesi Rosato Brut had a vibrant and slightly fizzy taste. For the oysters, I ordered a 3-kind comparison of raw oysters. Personally, I think steamed oysters are the best, so I actually wanted steamed ones... The three kinds were from Hyogo, Iwate, and Hiroshima, each with its own unique characteristics. The Hiroshima oysters had a firm and juicy texture, with a pleasant bitterness. They were my favorite. The Iwate oysters had a more rounded appearance compared to the Hiroshima ones, with a strong saltiness and mineral taste. The Hyogo oysters had a texture somewhere between Hiroshima and Iwate, with a long-lasting hint of seaweed aroma. Next, I tried the shaved truffle potato salad. It had a strong acidity and oily texture, with chunks of meat and a subtle truffle aroma. A sophisticated potato salad for adults. This item is from the menu of the neighboring GALERA PRESS COFFEE and requires a separate payment upon receipt of the item. For wine, I chose an orange wine, Ch. Mercian Fuefuki Koshu Gris de Gris. It had a robust and stable orange wine taste, quite delicious. Before the pasta, I ordered another dish, the herb butter grilled clams. I imagined a crunchy texture, but the clams were surprisingly soft, almost like abalone. The basil and garlic sauce had a perfect balance of saltiness and was very tasty. Finally, my long-awaited pasta arrived. I was torn between pasta and risotto, but ended up with the Setouchi-produced real oysters and pancetta, chicory peperoncino. Creamy and tightly packed oysters, prominent pancetta, and the lovely greenness of chicory. It was a delicious meal. Everything I tried was delicious, and there were still many menu items that caught my eye, so I would love to visit again.

Oyster bar at Galeria Tachikawa! (Galeria Tachikawa is like a smaller version of Ebisu Yokocho or Toranomon Yokocho) You can get 2 oysters and a wine set for around 1000 yen, which is a great deal. It's the kind of oyster bar you wish was near your home.

Around 3:00 PM on a Saturday, I visited VIGO OYSTER BAR, an oyster bar located in Tachikawa Galeria. It seems that the popular Nakano restaurant "Organisco" has opened a branch in Tachikawa Galeria, focusing on natural wines, oysters, and tapas. The first review by MairebiNy was highly rated, so I had bookmarked this place. The number of reviews for Tachikawa Galeria is not increasing much, but it is always bustling on the weekends when I visit. I came to Galeria Tachikawa specifically for this restaurant, and after waiting for a seat to become available, I finally got to try it out. Here is what we ordered: - 2 oysters + sparkling wine "Codorníu" ¥1,408 - 2 oysters + white wine "Vitesse" ¥1,188 (for my husband) The sparkling wine "Codorníu" was excellent, with a fruity and crisp taste that I really enjoyed. The oysters were fresh and meaty, with a choice of toppings like rock salt and chopped red aryle in wine vinegar. The oysters were from Hyogo and Okayama, both large and deliciously sweet. We also ordered some dishes from the neighboring Galeria Press Coffee: - Shaved truffle potato salad ¥450 - Pâté de Campagne ¥550 - Land Highball ¥550 (for my husband) - Homemade Sangria (red) ¥638 The service was excellent, and the staff was accommodating to my allergy to sakura shrimp, offering to customize a pasta dish for me. The pasta with oysters and spring chrysanthemum in bottarga pepperoncino was delicious and satisfying. Overall, I had a great experience at VIGO OYSTER BAR, and I look forward to visiting again in the future. The combination of sparkling wine and fresh, tasty oysters was a highlight of the meal. I recommend trying the "Oyster with Drinks" set menu for a great deal. The sommelier and senior sommelier did a fantastic job of pairing the oysters with the wines. I can't wait to come back!

Oyster bar located in GALERA TACHIKAWA. There are 10 restaurants on one floor. It seems that you can only order from the food and beverage outlets, not from other shops. This restaurant offers counter seating for dining. - Oyster 5 types tasting set @1980 yen ✔️ Shizugawa, Miyagi Prefecture ✔️ Momotori, Mie Prefecture ×2 ✔️ Sakoshi, Hyogo Prefecture ✔️ Saroma Lake, Hokkaido Although it says 5 types tasting set, only 4 origins are listed. There didn't seem to be any out-of-stock situation, but why is that? - Okayama Mushiakari oyster @380 yen - Iwate Akasaki oyster @380 yen Both Mushiakari and Akasaki oysters were served at the same time, but only one of them had the origin tag. It would be nice to have an explanation at the time of service. - Squid fritters @680 yen The tartar sauce is homemade, but the calamari rings are not. - 2 oysters + white wine (Vitesse) @1080 yen It seems you can't choose the type of oysters. - Oyster peperoncino @1180 yen Peperoncino with about 10 large smoked oysters. It was delicious with a strong garlic flavor. After serving, the staff member was overheard saying, "If you cut the oysters in half, the volume and presentation will be better." Well, we can hear you. Overall, the oyster dishes were delicious due to the oyster promotion, but other menu items may vary in quality. Thank you for the meal.

On December 20, 2021, I tried drinking at "Galera Tachikawa" for the second round. Galera Tachikawa is often asked if it's like a food court, but unlike a food court, each store has proper seating. It's like a "restaurant area in a department store" in simple terms, but without partitions. For the second round, I came to the Oyster BAR. It's nice that you can quickly sit at the counter. There are also table seats, so it's okay to come with family. Well, sitting at the counter allows you to see the oysters and it's fun! There were 7 types of "oysters of the day" from all over the country on this day. [See the photo] [Order] ◎ Oysters of the day 2 pieces + Heineken beer set for 1200 yen ⭐️ I chose oysters from Akasaki, Iwate Prefecture, and Jōshima, Hiroshima Prefecture. The oysters were fresh and delicious! There was an accident due to operational mistakes (since it had just opened), but it's understandable. Honestly, even if it's written that the oysters are from a certain place, I don't really understand, so it's more fun to see the actual size (shell) of the oysters before ordering! The tag with the characteristics of the oysters is brought with the oysters, but I thought it would be better to read it beforehand as a reference when ordering. I personally think that Oyster BAR is not yet well-known in the Tama region (at least it's not something my friends would suggest going to), but because it's operating within Galera, Oyster BAR has become a candidate for choosing a restaurant, and I found this facility interesting. The quality of the products is very good, so I have a feeling that it will become an even better store. Thank you for the meal.
