I stopped by at Kokoria Tama Center on the upper floors on my way back from errands and did some shopping for fresh food. Some parts of other stores are concentrated at the same checkout counter, so I could take my time looking around. I purchased North Field Selection's flaxseed pork thin-cut wieners, Hishiwa-san's pesticide-free Assam blend black tea, Ooguri tofu from Tochigi Prefecture's Sano City, and Tawara-style imitation crab. Nowadays, coarse-ground wieners seem to be the mainstream, but I prefer the light taste of thin-cut wieners. There are few stores that handle thin-cut wieners in general supermarkets, so I am happy about this find. I often eat these wieners boiled. I have purchased them before and liked them, so I continue to buy them. The Assam blend black tea has a nice fragrance. There are also tea bag products for milk tea. The previous individual packaging was a simple paper wrapping, but now it is a sealed individual packaging with aluminum inside. I feel more reassured. The fragrance does not escape, which is good. The extraction color is a beautiful red, and the fragrance is also good. As it is a blend black tea, I feel that it has little bitterness. I think it is a perfect black tea for meals or tea time with sweets. The Tawara-style imitation crab was the first time I saw a tawara-shaped imitation crab in a pack of five. Each one has a weight, and it is a firm imitation crab. I cooked it after removing the excess oil, and I think there was little oil floating. Ooguri Tofu is a long-established tofu shop established in Taisho 9. I used it as an ingredient for lunch udon and also for oden. It soaked in nicely and had a satisfying texture, so I would like to buy it again. Shopping at Kitano Ace is enjoyable. Thank you for the meal.

McKinnon's Chardonnay - ¥1,151 (tax included) I allocated a budget of ¥1,000 for a Zoom drinking party. Since Seijo Ishii was closed, I decided to try a slightly better wine than usual at this store. They have a good selection of wine, beer, sake, and more. However, the prices were a bit high for someone like me. Among the wines, I chose this wine that is recommended at Konno Ace and is a bit more affordable. It is easy to open as it is not a screw cap. It has a nice aroma and a slightly dry but fruity finish with berry notes. It pairs well with cheese and fish, and I enjoyed it very much. It may be a bit pricey for everyday use, but I think it's worth buying occasionally.

When I bought bread at Montabo, I also stopped by Kitano Ace. I bought "Tarako and domestically produced salmon flaked" for onigiri and the "Chocolate Daifuku" that caught my eye at the store. While supermarkets also sell salmon flakes in jars, this one contains flaked salmon and my favorite tarako. Many jarred salmon flakes have a lot of oil at the bottom, but this one hardly has any. Despite seeming high in salt, it's actually light and delicious. It goes well not only with onigiri but also with warm rice. I will definitely buy it again. The Chocolate Daifuku is a small bite-sized treat with 5 types of mochi filled with chocolate cream. Although they look similar, the back of the bag indicates which flavor is which. The 5 flavors are chocolate, matcha, coffee, hojicha, and chai. They may look alike, but the ingredients show that they are made properly. It makes sense that they use ginger powder for the chai flavor. It was a fun mochi snack for when you need a little break. Let's find more good things. Thank you for the meal.

At the Cocoria Tama Center, Mr. Kitano Ace is at the concentrated checkout counter in the food floor, so you can take your time browsing. On this day, in addition to fresh food, I bought "Shijimi Ramen - Salt Flavor" here. It is a product that contains extracts of shijimi clams from Lake Shinji in Shimane Prefecture and fresh noodles kneaded with water from Okuizumo, all packed together. I had it for lunch at home later. There were instructions on how to make it, but I boiled the noodles for a little over 1 minute instead of the recommended 2 minutes. I topped it with store-bought chashu pork, seasoned egg, menma, and a mix of stir-fried vegetables. The soup had some oil floating on top, but overall it had a light flavor. I wished it had a bit more of the flavor of shijimi clams, but I could still taste the base. The noodles were boiled quickly and ended up being just the right firmness for us. I had thought from the product image that they were straight noodles, but they had a slight curl to them and were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went shopping at the underground food floor to have a home drinking night, and also came here to see if there was anything interesting. I found a chu-hi made with Hokkaido ingredients, a salt-fried ginkgo nut snack with plenty of Yubari melon and a premium peppermint cookie from Suzuki Seika in Kitami City, known for their peppermint snacks. The Yubari melon chu-hi is made by Hokkaido Beer Brewing Co., with 5% fruit juice and 3% alcohol, making it easy to enjoy even for those who are not good with alcohol. The salt-fried ginkgo nuts by Kitano Selection are individually wrapped, so you can enjoy the crispy ginkgo nuts with each pack you open. The premium peppermint cookies come in plain and chocolate flavors, with a crispy texture similar to langues de chat and a refreshing mint taste that is not too overpowering. They are perfect for tea time or a quick break during work. I appreciate that they do not contain unnecessary additives. Although similar baked snacks can be found from other companies, these were delicious. I will definitely keep them on hand for when I crave them. Once again, I found some great items. Thank you for the meal.

Whenever I come to Cocoria Tama Center, I always end up making a detour. This shop offers items that you can't find at your usual supermarket - higher quality products and things you wish they had. On this day, I spent about 1,200 yen in total. Along with my usual purchases, I also bought a new item that I haven't reviewed yet. It's the sliced sweet Iburi Gakko from Kamakurayama Natto, produced by Oshu Shokuhin Co., Ltd. Their products are also sold at Ito Yokado Tama Center, but I didn't go there on this day. Among the many cup natto products, this one stands out for its mild flavor, stickiness, and delicious whole soybeans. It's a bit more expensive than mass-produced natto, but whenever I find it, I always repurchase it. My mother also loves this natto. The sliced Iburi Gakko from Oshu Shokuhin Co., Ltd. is convenient as it's ready to eat, with a perfect thickness for enjoying its texture. It has a pleasant aroma and you'll find yourself wanting another slice. Although this pack was labeled "sweet," I'm sure there are standard versions available in their local area. I only found this product here, but I'd love to try it if I come across it elsewhere. Whenever I visit Kitano Ace, I end up buying things that weren't on my shopping list. They have a beautifully arranged shelf of retort curry packages, and I hope to buy one from the top row one day when I have some extra pocket money.

In the underground food floor of Cocoria Tama, there is a store called Kitano Ace. They offer high-quality food products with a focus on ingredients. They sell Belgian waffles, 3 for 250 yen. The waffles are covered in sugar crystals, giving them a crunchy texture. They are sweet and satisfying, making them a good snack when you're feeling a bit hungry. The waffles are a bit dry, but overall, they are a decent choice for a quick bite.

Mr. Kitano Ace... I have been a customer of this restaurant for a long time, even when they had a location in the basement floor of Tamagawa Takashimaya. It seems that their Tokyo stores were not listed on Tabelog until now. Welcome back with the reopening on March 20th! This is a great place to go when you want something a little special. On this day, I came to buy powdered Sansho pepper as I had run out. There were several types on the shelf, but I chose the "Kyoto Sansho" from the long-established Kyoto condiment seller "Ikkyudo." It is made from the highest quality domestic Sansho pepper. It cost 507 yen for 10g. As soon as I opened the bag with scissors, a lovely and refreshing Sansho scent filled the air. I transferred it to my own bottle and immediately sprinkled some in my miso soup. Ah, delicious. This is the best powdered Sansho pepper I have ever tasted. I would love to try it on grilled eel. They also have bottled products, so I'm thinking of carrying it around with me.

Thank you very much for the original madeleine from Kitano Ace. It was fluffy with a hint of honey sweetness. The sponge was super light and didn't feel heavy in the stomach.

I bought half-priced duck nanban soba and 551 pork buns, it was okay but the dipping sauce made it delicious.
