Located just a short walk from Takadanobaba Station's Babaguchi exit, Hormone Yakiniku is a newly opened restaurant on the basement floor of the Inamon Building, which is currently undergoing exterior renovations. It is situated at the back of the floor where Gigas, an oyster bar, and Kin Tare Yakiniku used to be. The interior of the restaurant has a stylish atmosphere with a large seating area. The ventilation systems at each table remain from the previous yakiniku restaurant. I visited for the first time around 8 pm on a weekday and was seated at a table at the back of the restaurant. The place is decorated with beer barrel-like tanks, which are apparently used for the all-you-can-drink lemon sour offer. The clientele seemed to be a mix of large groups of students near the entrance, female groups at the high tables in the middle, and office workers at the tables in the back. All orders are placed using a touch panel, and I opted for regular yakiniku items as I'm not a fan of hormone meat. The drink menu includes a lemon sour all-you-can-drink option for 500 yen for 60 minutes or 800 yen for 90 minutes, with a choice of two types of syrup to mix in. There is a lever at each table for easy refills, which can lead to overindulging, as mentioned by my companion. As for the food ordered: Negi-yama (pork) Taketa tongue - 680 yen Thick-cut Harami steak - 780 yen Chicken Seseri salt - 380 yen Pork Toro salt - 380 yen Spicy pork Toro - 380 yen Taketa Harami - 480 yen Taketa Kalbi - 480 yen Domestic beef melt-in-your-mouth Kalbi - 580 yen Taketa mixed soba - 580 yen Addictive sesame salted cucumbers - 380 yen The Negi-yama was a generous portion, with more than enough for wrapping in tongue slices. The pork tongue was a unique choice, while the tongue and melt-in-your-mouth Kalbi were sliced incredibly thin, thinner than prosciutto. The thick-cut Harami steak was a 150-gram piece of meat that required cutting with scissors after cooking, reminiscent of a steak lunch. The Harami, Kalbi, Pork Toro, and Seseri were reasonably priced and delicious. The pork Toro in both salt and "spicy" variations were flavorful but not overly spicy. The mixed soba left something to be desired in terms of the noodles. The staff promptly replaced the grilling net when needed. After eating and drinking quite a bit, the bill came out to around 3,000 yen per person, which was reasonable. PayPay is accepted for payment, making it even more affordable for those who enjoy a lot of drinks. I will definitely be returning.

Before a drinking party, I decided to eat yakiniku with a friend who also loves to eat. We agreed that cheap is good and quickly chose a restaurant. We ended up at Taketa, where we had meat and soft drinks. Although it was cheap, I couldn't help but feel that maybe we should have chosen a different place. It just didn't quite hit the spot.

I visited around 8:30 pm and it was not crowded at all. When asked if I had a reservation, I said no and was directed to a table in the back. I was told that if I added them on LINE as a friend, I would receive 2 free slices of meat, so I added them. I was intrigued by the table lemon sour, which was only 550 yen for 60 minutes. I had two glasses of beer which were very affordable. The meat was delicious when grilled over a gas fire. The mixed noodles were so-so. Around 9 pm, a group of university students arrived and made good use of the all-you-can-drink option. Thank you for the meal.

In the past 2-3 years, there has been a noticeable increase in yakiniku restaurants that have servers on the table and offer all-you-can-drink self-service style. I was hesitant to visit one due to the preconception that only cheap quality food would be served. However, I was unexpectedly invited and ended up going. The restaurant offered all-you-can-drink lemon sour on the table for 60 minutes at a surprisingly low price of 500 yen. This cost-effective method eliminates the need for staff to take orders or clean glasses, as customers can order using a touch panel and cook their own meat. While the system is well thought out, it lacks the excitement and thrill that dining out should offer. It feels more like a mundane experience rather than a luxurious and indulgent one. The high alcohol content drinks seem more about getting drunk quickly rather than enjoying the experience. The small portions of meat, such as thinly sliced beef tongue and small cuts of kalbi, end up making the total bill around 3,000 yen, which is not as cheap as it initially seems. For satisfying the desire for cheap yakiniku, "Anan" seems like a better option than this place.

I finally tried the all-you-can-drink lemon sour that I had always wanted to try in my life...^^ I used the coupon without fail and got a free plate of meat! In addition to the complimentary pork tongue, I also had a plate of liver and I think some kind of hormone meat. The thick liver helped me replenish my iron intake!! I cooked at my own pace so I didn't end up burning the meat~ Since I poured a lot, I got drunk enough in 60 minutes. They have various options like kalbi, so if you come with friends, you can order a variety of dishes.

I visited this restaurant as a second stop on my day off. The place was not very crowded, probably because it was late and on a weekend. I decided to drop in since I had limited time before the last train. I ordered a variety of hormone dishes and harami along with kimchi with tomatoes. Even though I didn't come here specifically for yakiniku, I had a great time enjoying the food. I think the main purpose of this type of restaurant is to have a lively time with friends over drinks, with the meat being more of a bonus. I had a fun time here in Takadanobaba. Visit rating: 3.03

Located just northeast of Takadanobaba Station, this casual yakiniku and horumon (offal) restaurant opened on the basement floor of a dining building. I visited before 6 pm on a weekday. There were few customers at that time, but by 8 pm when I left, the place was full. They offer a plan where you can have all-you-can-drink lemon sour from a server at your table. I opted for ordering meat a la carte, including pork tongue, harami (skirt steak), and a mix of red and white horumon. I enjoyed grilling them myself. The quality and taste of the meat were excellent. I discovered my personal favorite, pork mino (intestines), which was served in a generous portion. The thickly sliced guts core had a juicy, fatty drip and a chewy texture. It was pure bliss to enjoy all this for only 400 yen! If you become a guts core refugee, I recommend deciding on Taketa for pork mino.

I used it with a large number of people for an acquaintance's birthday! The cost performance and service were good, and I was satisfied with the customer service and speedy response! Even though it's in the basement of a building, there is a smoking booth in the shop, which is considerate of both non-smokers and smokers. Despite it being a weekday, there were many customers and I was very satisfied!

If you want something quick, it's good enough. The lemon sour is strong, so with one hour of all-you-can-drink, you'll likely get drunk.

We made a reservation for 5 people on a 3000 yen course, and the food was sufficient without needing to order extra. It was great value for money.
