Hibiya Midtown's Showa Town is a corner of an izakaya that I've been curious about for a while because they have pudding. I arrived at 7:30 pm on a weekday and there were about 5 groups waiting outside the restaurant, so I was glad I made a reservation! The interior of the restaurant has a Showa era vibe, or a festival atmosphere, it's lively and fun, and it also has a retro and stylish feel, with a surprisingly large number of seats! What we had: [Drinks] Super carbonated angle highball (500 yen) [Food] *Other than pudding, shared by two people - Specialty of the house: Chicken Karaage with grated daikon ponzu sauce, half size (400 yen) Sweet and spicy sansho soy sauce, half size (450 yen) - Obanzai (home-style side dishes) assortment of 3 (1100 yen/for 2 people) Thick fried tofu with mushroom sauce Salmon and root vegetables marinated in vinegar Deep-fried eggplant - Thick cut ham cutlet (770 yen) - Rolled omelette with dashi broth (880 yen) - Homemade pudding (660 yen) There was also an appetizer (440 yen) that tasted homey like hijiki. All the food was delicious!! Especially the large-sized karaage was amazing!! The coating was crispy, the saltiness was just right, and it was incredibly delicious...!! There are 3 flavors of karaage (grated daikon ponzu, sweet and spicy sansho soy sauce, homemade sansho mayonnaise), and you can choose between a regular serving (4 pieces) or a half size (2 pieces). It might be nice to order a half size and try various flavors. The thick cut ham cutlet was also unbelievably large, and the thickness of the ham was irresistible...!! And for dessert... the long-awaited pudding!! It was as firm as it looks, with a cherry on top, very classic! However, it was delicious but somehow felt lacking... maybe because the karaage was too delicious! The staff were all friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable! I hear they also have lunch, so I'm curious about that too! I would recommend this izakaya to people visiting Tokyo for sightseeing! Thank you for the meal ★

I didn't have a reservation, but since it was a weekday, I was able to get in smoothly. The seating was limited to 2 hours. They had a surprising deal where you could get a highball and the popular fried chicken set for just 100 yen! You can enjoy this set once per person. It seems to be available only from 5-7 pm. Thanks to this set, the cost performance was quite good. It seems like a place that would be easy to use for a girls' night out or a date!

"I was invited to visit a restaurant on the 3rd floor of Midtown Hibiya that serves delicious fried chicken. It was my first time visiting and I was surprised to discover this area within Midtown Hibiya. I ordered the recommended fried chicken, which came in a plate of four pieces for about 800 yen. I was happy with the generous portion size. I initially thought the dish would be just simple fried chicken, but you can choose from grated radish, mayonnaise, or Japanese pepper to accompany it. The size was more than satisfying, and the chicken was not only hot but also had a hint of sweetness. You could tell that it was marinated well. It was so delicious that I ended up ordering more fried chicken. I will definitely visit this place again!"

The fried chicken and rolled omelette were especially delicious. If you go between 5-7pm on weekdays, it's happy hour and highballs are only 100 yen, so I definitely want to go during happy hour next time. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like a casual izakaya, but it's located in Hibiya Midtown so it's quite calm.

I visited with friends after 5 pm. The interior of the restaurant was very spacious with high ceilings, making it comfortable. They had a wide variety of beers and the fried chicken was delicious. There were also many creative dishes, creating a great atmosphere for students. Hibiya is the best.

Located on the 3rd floor of Hibiya Midtown, this place is always bustling and almost always full. I sat at the small counter in the middle of the floor. With counter seats, tables, and sunken kotatsu seating, it's a great izakaya for hanging out with friends and having a good time. I enjoyed a bottle of beer and three types of small dishes, including delicious potato salad. Of course, in a place like this, I couldn't resist ordering popular items like fried chicken and fries. However, the plum sour cocktail I had at the end was a disappointment. It didn't taste good, and it was quite expensive. It's a casual place to enjoy drinks, but the drinks may not be that great. Considering the location in Midtown, it's not too bad. It's a good spot for a light and fun night out.

・Specialty: Fried chicken with grated ponzu sauce / Sweet and spicy sansho soy sauce The fried chicken was juicy and not too greasy, with a perfect balance of flavors. It was the most delicious fried chicken I have ever had! Especially the sweet and spicy sansho soy sauce, everything was just right! ・Potato fries with sour cream and sweet chili I really liked this dish, the sour cream was quite rich and paired perfectly with the tangy sweetness of the sweet chili sauce. ・Grilled mentaiko rice ball This dish has a good amount of volume and looks cute, so I recommend trying it! The cooking here is genius, everything I ate was surprisingly delicious! Definitely try the fried chicken with the delicious sweet and spicy sansho soy sauce!

I visited for lunch on a regular day. The restaurant had a lively izakaya atmosphere, bustling with people working in the area. The interior was spacious, so I was seated quickly, but it took a bit of time for the food to be served. However, the large fried chicken was delicious! It was nice to have vegetables in the salad and side dishes. This is the place to go when you want to eat fried chicken set meal. The payment around 12:50 will have a line.

Today, I visited HIBIYA CENTRAL MARKET with a friend once again. No matter how many times I come here, it always creates a wonderful atmosphere, and most importantly, the delicious fried chicken makes for a pleasant time. While the other menu items are also fantastic, the fried chicken is what I would highly recommend. Overall, this restaurant offers a cozy environment, delicious food, and friendly staff, making it a wonderful place. I feel like I would definitely want to visit again next time.

I extended my legs to Hibiya and enjoyed a light break at Oktoberfest, escaping from the hot weather outside. I visited a corner within Midtown. It's a good place for day drinking. The restaurant was already full with reservations, and it seemed like there were no available seats. I was able to enter for about an hour. There were many couples and young female customers. I ordered: - A comparison of two types of sake (Hoshimatsuri Junmai Daiginjo and Aratama Special Junmai Summer Fire Seared Sake), both from Yamagata sake, ¥1,000 - FUNCTION craft beer, ¥1,210 - Yamagata dashi chilled tofu, ¥770 - A combination of three obanzai dishes, ¥1,100. All the dishes were delicious with a refreshing taste that was perfect for a hot day like today. I would like to visit again.

It's around 3 pm on a day off, and I had some time before the movie, so I decided to have a drink by myself. I enjoyed a mega draft beer, salted squid guts, and potato salad. What was really interesting was the young couple who came in with a baby stroller. The dad was drinking hoppy and the mom was having a sour, all while gently rocking the stroller with one hand. It was such a happy moment! Taking a break on a hot afternoon in a relaxed little shop like this is the best. The sleeping baby is doing a good job too. For my second drink, I ordered a mega-sized Ebara oolong tea, thinking about the movie later. I hope I don't fall asleep during the movie. It's a great atmosphere here, a perfect place to stop by before or after a movie!

This is my second time here! You have to wait at least two weeks to get a reservation, but it's worth the wait because all the menu items are delicious. There is a variety of drinks available, making it fun. Last time I came was two months ago, and there were some slight changes to the menu, which was also enjoyable! There was a DJ-like person playing moody music, creating a lovely atmosphere! The staff seemed very busy and sometimes took a while to come over, but it was totally understandable. Everyone was kind, sincere, and provided excellent service!

After watching a play at the Imperial Theater, I asked my partner to make a reservation at a restaurant that we could go to at 9 o'clock. We ended up at Ikkaku-san in Midtown, which is very convenient to access. The recommended fried chicken was delicious, and ordering a large portion of 5 pieces was enough for two people to share and feel full. The restaurant is lively and bustling, so it can be a bit challenging to get the attention of the staff (you have to raise your hand and call out loudly to get noticed). The place is beautiful and cozy, but the prices may be a bit on the higher side.

The food is delicious and the stylish izakaya atmosphere inside the building is great. I have already repeated for late weekend lunches and weekday lunches a few times. I think fried chicken goes perfectly with highballs, but I haven't had any alcohol yet, so I'm aiming for it next time for sure. It is highly recommended for before and after theater performances at various theaters such as the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater, Theater Crea, and Nissay Theater due to its convenient location.

I didn't make a reservation on a regular weekday night. Since it was early, they allowed me to stay for an hour until reserved customers arrived. The highball set was only 200 yen, which seemed like a bargain (limited time offer? One order per person). The atmosphere was great, which is expected in Hibiya. ⭕️

I found this place on Instagram and decided to check it out. It has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere, especially for Hibiya, and there were a lot of young people. The menu had a variety of dishes that go well with alcohol, so it was hard to choose. The fried chicken was particularly delicious, with a rich flavor.

No matter what you choose, whether it's the food, drinks, or dessert, it's always delicious and never disappointing. The atmosphere is lively but there is enough distance between tables to feel comfortable and relaxed. It always seems busy, so it's best to make a reservation in advance for peace of mind.

During the day, you can enjoy a variety of hearty set meals, and at night, you can indulge in the famous fried chicken and seasonal side dishes, as well as various izakaya-style dishes at this casual dining restaurant. It's surprising to find such a stylish place in the middle of Midtown! Just a heads up, if you plan to visit at night, you'll need to make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance even on weekdays. The lunch menu offers 4 options: - Famous fried chicken set meal (2 pieces for 1000 yen, 3 pieces for 1100 yen) - Fried chicken and fried horse mackerel set meal (1200 yen) - Side dish set meal (1300 yen) - Today's fish set meal (Ask for price) After much consideration, I chose the side dish set meal. I enjoyed it in a bright seat by the window, feeling a nostalgic comfort from the soy sauce-based Japanese cuisine. Everything was so delicious and right up my alley! I arrived around 11:30 am on a weekday, shortly after their opening at 11 am, and by the time I finished eating, the seats were almost all filled. It was truly a delightful experience! Thank you for the wonderful meal. Instagram: @kaori_1113

I had visited this place for lunch a few times, but I was curious about the evening atmosphere so I decided to go. The most popular menu here is the fried chicken, which is voluminous, juicy, and really delicious. The dessert, a pudding that I had wanted to try for a while, was also exquisite. Considering its location in Midtown, the fact that a man in his 20s can eat and drink here for around 3000 yen is quite a good deal, don't you think? Every dish was delicious. I will definitely come back for the fried chicken! It can get crowded both during the day and at night, so I recommend making a reservation.

It wasn't the weekend, but the restaurant was full and we had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated (strict 2-hour time limit). I completely forgot to take photos of the food, but we ordered sashimi, namul, rolled omelette, and fried chicken. Everything had a gentle flavor and was delicious (although the portions were a bit small). There were also many different types of alcohol available, so it might have been nice to enjoy more drinks.

I went during the daytime on a regular day. I made a reservation for the opening time, but it seemed like it wasn't necessary as it wasn't too crowded. I forgot to take photos of the main dishes, which was disappointing. I had the daily special set meal. It came with a large piece of fried chicken and everything else was delicious, so I would like to visit again before a movie.
