I went with my friends to the new branch of the izakaya we used to frequent. The store officially opens on April 4th. The drink menu is like a Pandora's box, full of surprises, and just looking at the menu sparks endless conversations. Personally, I was delighted to see the variety of drinks, such as yuzu sour, soy milk highball (16 types), Nagatanien (rice seasoning), protein drinks, fruit cocktails, and more. The food menu is extensive, and I'm determined to try everything. Here's what we ordered this time: Pickled mackerel, chilled tofu (topped with green onions and yuzu pepper), deep-fried bitter melon stir-fry, grated radish sour, wasabi sour, fruit cocktail sour, coriander sour, soy milk highball (pistachio and black tea), Nagatanien sour, local sake (flower color, namazake). We had light bites, so we left the snacks up to the chef. The pickled mackerel was a perfect snack. The chilled tofu was topped with my favorite yuzu pepper and green onions, a winning combination. The bitter melon stir-fry was a curveball - the crispy texture, salty spam, and bitter melon blended perfectly. The BBQ sauce with a smoky flavor from Okinawa was also delicious. The grated radish sour was so delicious that it was a revelation. I hope they also offer a grated radish sour with a rough texture in the future. Adding shichimi spice halfway through made it even more refreshing. The Nagatanien sour can be ordered as a final soup-like drink. I would like to try the fresh sansho pepper sour and shiso leaf sour next time. The local sake lineup changes depending on the season, so it's worth trying different varieties. The namazake was easy to drink. For the finale, I highly recommend the mapo tofu. Mix it with rice and enjoy. The landmark for the location is the Daiei in Sangenjaya (there's only one, so it's easy to find). If you bring a Daiei receipt, you get a 500 yen discount. It's just opened, but I have a feeling it will become very popular, so be sure to check it out before it gets crowded. Congratulations on the grand opening! Cheers to a great meal! A shop located on the way from Sangenjaya Station towards Shimoma, with the words "Yakumi Sakaba" catching my eye, I decided to drop in. The food menu is displayed on the wall, a bit hard to read. The drink menu was on the table. Although sake seemed to be recommended, it appeared a bit pricey so I passed. I ordered a specialty sour drink instead. I had some light snacks. - Daikon Oroshi Sour: The most popular drink with grated daikon. Refreshing and unexpectedly delicious. The daikon gives it a unique flavor, not sweet like a fruit sour. A must-try. - Fresh Sansho Sour: A sour drink with crushed fresh sansho pepper. It has a strong numbing sensation. A great choice for sansho lovers. - Mikuyakko: Made with tofu from Setagaya's Hiroseya Tofu Shop. Firm and cotton-like tofu. Topped with plenty of ginger and green onions. - Mayaku Ebi: Plenty of condiments like a drunken shrimp. Quite spicy so be careful. A great menu as you can also drink the leftover condiments. I was able to enjoy all the leftover condiments. You might feel full if you eat too many condiments. The cost performance is not bad, but the drink menu is relatively a bit pricey. Thank you for the meal.

First visit. Among the many types of sour drinks, I chose the unique option of daikon radish sour this time. It's a style where you sprinkle chili pepper for a flavor change when it's about half gone. All the food was delicious. There was also a menu where you dip homemade plum paste in rice crackers, which was nostalgic and made for a great snack. I will definitely go again!
