The cafe had a wide variety of cakes and a nice retro atmosphere. This time, I opted for iced tea instead of something sweet, but I would like to try their lunch and desserts next time. It was a cozy place, perfect for salarymen to relax. Thank you for the meal! 😊

Located at 2-33-5 Nihonbashi Hamacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, in the Marion Hamacho Building, is the Cafe & Bar SOLO, a cafe with its own roasting. It has a glass-fronted corner cafe with a typical coffee shop style. The shop opened about a year ago. Upon entering the shop, you will see a pink payphone, adding a retro Showa era atmosphere intentionally. The interior of the shop retains an old-fashioned feel with a new coffee roaster by Novo. The basement is spacious. There were no customers in the morning on weekdays, so I went down to the basement. It is said to be a memorial hall for the late world-renowned guitarist, Ayako Watanabe, with a photo of Devi in the opening photo. For groups of 12 or more, you can have a 2-hour private rental for free. I placed my order before going downstairs, but it felt a bit lonely, so I moved to the 1st floor. I had a Kilimanjaro hot coffee for 600 yen and a Showa-style pudding for 600 yen. The firm pudding paired well with the high-quality, deep acidic coffee. The background music was piano melodies, and I enjoyed a leisurely time. Thank you for the meal.

A shop where you can enjoy homemade roasted coffee! Although it looks like a small shop, the basement is actually very spacious. Inside, there is a piano and a notice for private rental plans, so it seems like there is a wide range of options. I ordered a cafe latte, coffee jelly, and pudding. They all had a traditional cafe taste and were delicious.

I used a café near Hamacho Park. From the outdoor atmosphere, I thought it was a small shop, but there was also a underground seating area. When I went down, I was surprised to find a brand new concert hall. There was no concert that day, so it was used as seating for the café. I enjoyed a slightly unique iced coffee while listening to classical music in the background. It was a really nice time.

Ham and cheese sandwich for 650 yen, daily blend coffee for 500 yen. When ordered as a set, it costs 1,000 yen. In addition to sandwiches, they also offer pasta and various desserts. Today's coffee is Kilimanjaro, which has a great aroma and a mild acidity that I enjoy. The sandwich was lightly toasted and served in 7 minutes. There are 8 four-person tables in the basement, and I had the place to myself with classical music playing on the large screen. It was not crowded and very satisfying. They also mention that you can roast your own coffee, which I found interesting!
