In front of Takadanobaba Station, there is a building with a Don Quijote store where a new yakiniku restaurant has apparently opened. Although I am not particularly interested in yakiniku, when I looked at the menu, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only beef, but they also have a chicken thigh set meal for a reasonable price in the 800 yen range (*´▽`*) This is definitely worth checking out! The restaurant is called "Ushibun Yakiniku". The three characters for "Ushi" mean "crowded", so it reads as "Ushibun Yakiniku"! I was seated in the spacious and clean restaurant by myself, and was given a tablet menu and order machine. I checked out the lunch menu, and saw the chicken thigh yakiniku set meal for 880 yen. The amount of chicken seemed a bit small, so I decided to also order the luxurious beef tongue a la carte (*´▽`*) As I waited for my food, quite a few customers came in. It seems to be quite popular! I was served a tray with rice, wakame soup, bean sprout namul, kakuteki, salad with sesame dressing, and chicken thigh. All of this for 880 yen is a great deal! I quickly grilled the chicken thigh, and in the meantime, I enjoyed the namul and kakuteki with rice. The flavors were delicious! The kakuteki had a well-balanced taste, not too sweet, just right. The rice was so good that I couldn't stop eating it (*´▽`*) The chicken cooked quickly, so I transferred it to a small plate and enjoyed it with rice. The chicken was juicy and had a crispy, flavorful surface. It was so delicious! Next, the "Thick-cut Beef Tongue" arrived, looking quite luxurious with a name tag attached. I grilled it well on both sides until it was crispy, then cut it in half with the provided scissors and continued grilling it. It seemed to have quite a bit of fat, so I made sure to grill it thoroughly, then squeezed some lemon over it and took a bite. It was tender, with a slightly chewy texture and a nice amount of fat. It was delicious! I also tried dipping it in the sauce and eating it with rice, which was also very satisfying (*´▽`*) Apparently, you can get a refill of rice and soup. I was starting to feel a bit full, but since I only had two pieces of beef tongue, I was okay (laughs). Next time, I might ask for more chicken thigh. The bibimbap also looked delicious. The side dishes were tasty, so I'm sure the bibimbap dishes are also well-seasoned (*´∀`*) I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the mood for meat. Thanks for the meal today!
