Today I am on a business trip to Tokyo~ I stayed at the Toyoko Inn Uguisudani Station~ Let's have breakfast now! Uguisudani Station has a variety of options like onigiri, side dishes, and miso soup~ The selection is quite decent~ As expected from a nationwide chain, the taste is reliable~ I recommend everyone to stay here and try it out!

Located in Taito Ward, Tokyo, the Toyoko Inn is just a 3-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Station (although there are stairs to navigate). Despite facing a main road, the rooms are relatively quiet. However, some rooms may have beds taking up most of the space, leaving little room for a hallway. The amenities are well-stocked. Guests can enjoy breakfast at no additional charge. The breakfast area is smaller compared to other hotels in the chain, with limited seating. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 9:30. It is a buffet-style breakfast included in the room rate.

I often use Toyoko Inn, but on this day there were hardly any vacancies, so I stayed for the first time at this one in Uguisudani. The atmosphere in front of the station suited me as I like Ueno. Toyoko Inn offers slightly different free breakfast at each location, but the meatballs here were delicious. Also, the staff who was working was very likable, giving off a typical Tokyo mother vibe.

JR Uguisudani Station is located within a 5-minute walk from both the north and south exits. The area around Uguisudani Station is known for its many love hotels, but you can reach the hotel without passing through that area (especially from the south exit). The area inside the Yamanote Line is rich in history and culture, making it great for exploring. I don't eat a lot for breakfast, so I was satisfied with the free breakfast provided by Toyoko Inn. The salad and meatballs were delicious. The hotel is also close to Tokyo Station and Ueno Station, with Yamanote Line stations within a 5-minute walk. The location is great. However, the surrounding area is filled with buildings, so the view from the hotel is just walls of buildings. The breakfast was tasty.

I stayed at a business hotel chain run by a flashy old lady who used to be the president. Unfortunately, the hotel I frequented the most was closed due to some sort of seismic fraud. Since then, I have been staying at various hotels in major cities, as they are conveniently located near train stations and I can stay for free with points if I accumulate enough. The breakfast is nothing special, just rice balls, bread, and a few side dishes, but it's enough for me.

The next day, I was planning to take the Joetsu Shinkansen from Ueno to Niigata, so I stayed at a Toyoko Inn near Uguisudani Station, just one stop away from Ueno. The hotel itself was typical of Toyoko Inn. Since I'm using Tabelog, I'll share my breakfast experience. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet starts at 7:00 am, which is too late for my Shinkansen schedule. However, they offer bread and coffee starting at 6:30 am. On this day, they had milk bread. It was small but quite tasty. Sometimes I tend to overeat at buffets, so this was just the right amount for me.
