After work, I was feeling hungry so I decided to visit Uogishi in Keio Street, Mita. It is located in an area with many other dining options. The first floor has counter seats while the second floor has table seating. It was a bright and lively atmosphere inside, with many groups of women and couples. It seems to be popular among office workers in the area. On this day, I ordered a la carte and had: - Draft beer, Oolong tea - Appetizers: Yukke, Matsumae pickles, simmered hijiki seaweed - Ham and salmon roe potato salad - Tuna sashimi tasting - Red snapper sashimi - Clam fried tofu - Steamed clams in sake - Salmon roe and crab rice Each dish was carefully prepared and the tuna sashimi tasting from Yamazaki was especially delicious! As the name suggests, the fish dishes were all outstanding as izakaya menu items. There were no disappointments and everything was delicious. The drinks also went down smoothly. The staff provided great service, which explains the popularity of this place. It is conveniently located near Mita Station, so I would love to stop by for a drink after work again in the future. Today's feast was held in Tamachi. Located at a prime spot on the corner of the Keio Nakadori shopping street, this place is almost in the center. The first floor has a counter, and the second floor has private rooms according to the number of people. Today, we were seated at the counter. While private rooms are cozy, if you want to enjoy the food in a small group, I highly recommend the counter where you can have close communication with the staff. Today's fourth meal is like "Wow, alright!" So, I decided to visit the restaurant "Uogii Tamachi Ekimae" for seafood and kamameshi. Large and satisfying to eat. Delicious! - Seafood Kobore Sushi (990 yen): A visually stunning dish! A mountain of negitoro topped with crab and ikura, with rolled sushi hidden underneath. Definitely delicious! - Steamed White Clam (990 yen): A large white clam with rich broth. So flavorful and delicious! - Fugu Karaage (790 yen): Honestly, I usually don't like fugu karaage due to the many small bones, but this one is great! When I mentioned that I don't like tobacco, they were considerate and gave me a seat away from it. I appreciate their thoughtfulness! I have been there a few times, and they have some unique Japanese sake that led to some fun conversations with the staff. A sake that Slam Dunk fans will love. I look forward to trying more interesting sake in the future.

I was talking with a friend who loves sake about wanting to eat delicious fish, and asked a colleague who also loves sake for recommendations, and they told me about "Uogii" located near Tamachi Station and Mita Station. The 1st floor has a counter surrounding the kitchen, and the 2nd floor has semi-private rooms. The calm atmosphere with the warmth of wood is just my style. When I looked at the menu, I saw a wide variety of sake from all over Japan, and they only offer domestic wine. Of course, I had to start with sake here! I chose my favorite Kido Junmai Daiginjo from Wakayama Prefecture's Heiwa Shuzo. It has a fruity and soft sweetness that is easy to drink. I asked the staff for recommendations and ordered them. They recommended ordering the Kamameshi first because it takes about 40 minutes to prepare. I definitely ordered it first! (Details to follow...) - Appetizers (Matsumae pickles, simmered hijiki seaweed, enoki mushroom chanja) These three beautifully arranged appetizers in elegant dishes are perfect for sake! I believe that a restaurant with delicious appetizers is never wrong, so my expectations are high. - Crab miso salad with shredded crab meat The perfect balance of saltiness and rich crab miso, this definitely calls for sake. Savoring it with sake is pure bliss. - Assorted raw tuna (akami, chutoro, seared chutoro) The fresh sashimi with a firm texture and rich flavor is enhanced when enjoyed with rock salt. The thick slices provide a satisfying bite. - Blowfish tempura The blowfish has a delicate texture and is fluffy! The mild blowfish is made into tempura with a slightly junky taste. The lemon and rock salt make the oil refreshing. - Eel Kamameshi (small serving for 1-2 people) The Kamameshi I ordered earlier has arrived~~! When you open the lid, you'll see plump and thick eel shining, and when you mix it well, you'll find crispy rice too! The eel and sauce mixed with rice is absolutely delicious, one of the best Kamameshi I've had recently. Even the small serving is quite filling, so it might be enough for 3-4 people as a finale. Additionally, there's a "Hitsumabushi set" that includes "soup, condiments, pickles" if you have room in your stomach. It's also nice to add this. I added several more sakes during the meal and enjoyed pairing them with the dishes. Every dish was very delicious, and we were able to enjoy a calm and satisfying meal without any noise. I used it for a drinking party with about 20 people! We ordered a 5000 yen course, and every dish was delicious!! I wasn't expecting much from the course, but everyone was so happy saying how tasty everything was!! Especially, the tempura in this picture that I captured was amazing~ The drinks also came quickly!! It was a great choice to pick a delicious restaurant at the beginning of the year!! Just be careful because the seats are too narrow, so if there are people with a large build, it can be quite tight!! It's also great that smoking is allowed!!

The other day, I visited the seafood and rice dish restaurant, Uogiyi, for the second time. They have a wide variety of menu items that make you want to try everything. I highly recommend their sashimi and rice dish! We also ordered crab miso, cream croquettes, and potato fries with sour cream. The sashimi was delicious, and it made me crave sake, which they had a great selection of. I tried the famous Mitsui no Jusu after a long time. The manager also recommended a rare sake, which was amazing. The rice dish at the end was so luxurious for the price, I had to double-check the menu! They use Haenuki rice from the manager's family farm. It takes a bit of time, so I recommend ordering it early. It was a fantastic restaurant for sake lovers. I had a job near Tamachi, so I was recommended this shop nearby the station and decided to go. When I opened the door of the shop located on a corner, the counter seats already had a lively atmosphere. The friendly and kind staff asked about my preferences and recommended dishes to me. The appetizers - simmered hijiki seaweed, Matsumae pickles, and engawa yukke were all delicious, but the engawa yukke was especially unique and very tasty. They all went well with drinks. The recommended dish - Shirako with ponzu sauce was incredibly fresh and creamy, I couldn't stop eating it. The sashimi platter with 3 kinds to choose from was also very satisfying for one person. The scallop, chu-toro, and yellowtail were all fresh and delicious. Looking around, I saw many people choosing the maguro tuna tasting platter, which also looked delicious. I will try it next time. The blackthroat seaperch with Saikyo miso glaze was recommended by the staff and it was excellent. The flesh was fluffy and aromatic, I was glad I chose it. I also ordered the crab and salmon roe rice cooked in a pot, which takes some time to cook after ordering. It was ready just as I finished the other dishes. Eating it fresh was so satisfying for both my stomach and heart. They offer two sizes for the pot rice, small and large, which is convenient depending on your hunger level and group size. The pot rice also comes with eel, so you can enjoy it as hitsumabushi as well. I sat at the counter on the first floor, but the second floor has private rooms. It's great that the station is so close, making it convenient to eat and drink. The food was delicious, and the drinks were carefully selected by the connoisseurs, so it's a perfect restaurant. I sometimes visit Tamachi, so I'm glad I found this great restaurant.

About two and a half years ago, I discovered a new restaurant that I have visited multiple times. It serves delicious kamameshi and fish dishes, becoming one of my favorite spots. Located on the corner of Keio Street in Mita, this restaurant has a counter on the first floor and private rooms on the second floor. It's a bit small, but cozy and welcoming. A second branch has opened in Oimachi, and I decided to give it a try. This location is inside a new building and a bit more spacious, offering a view of Oimachi's night scenery from the window seats. However, I feel more attached to the Mita branch. The handsome manager is also there (laughs). The dishes I enjoyed included pickled nozawana, steamed white clams, assorted sashimi, grilled blackfish with miso, tempura of winter vegetables, and sweet shrimp and seasonal vegetable kamameshi. The kamameshi made with rice from Yamagata was particularly delicious. The meal was accompanied by drinks like Malt's beer, sake, and screwdrivers. In other news, the Kawazu cherry blossoms in Tokyo are past full bloom. While admiring the cherry blossoms, I noticed a crowd gathering around. Two large green birds were pecking at the cherry blossoms to drink the nectar, causing the petals to fall. Some people were debating whether they were parrots, parakeets, or cockatoos. After some research, I found out they were probably ring-necked parakeets, an invasive species. Despite their intimidating eyes, the birds seemed to be enjoying themselves. I placed a fallen petal in my palm, pondering the fleeting beauty of flowers. The birds may live for 15 to 20 years, but their voracious appetite was evident. (wry smile)

It is a great location, just around 5 minutes from Tamachi Station, with a focus on seafood and a good selection of sake. The seating options include a counter and tables on the 2nd floor. The main feature is the kitchen, which is designed to be the focal point. Sitting at the counter, you can enjoy your meal without facing others, which is quite nice. I recommend trying the Moritz beer before heading home, as well as the popular Mitsui no Juban. It is described as dry, but it is easy to drink and has a light flavor. Some recommended dishes include the Assorted Appetizers (Yukke, Matsumae Pickles, Hijiki), the Tuna Trio (Maguro), Blackthroat Seaperch Saikyo Yaki, Seafood Overflowing Sushi, Shirako Ponzu, and Crab and Salmon Roe Kamameshi. Mixing it thoroughly and eating it made me feel like I was in heaven. The meticulous cooking process resulted in exceptional flavors. This is another must-try dish when you visit. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, and every dish was delicious. I found a great restaurant in Tamachi. I will definitely be coming back for the delicious food. I was invited to have dinner at the seafood and kamameshi (kettle rice) restaurant called "Uogiyi Tamachi Ekimae" at Tamachi Station. Despite the light rain, I eagerly made my way to Tamachi to meet up for a night out in the city. Arriving a bit early, I admired the bustling street outside the restaurant. Once inside, we were taken to our reserved table on the second floor. The first floor had counter seats, while the second floor had private rooms, providing a nice option for different occasions. Even in the private rooms, the sliding doors allowed for a pleasant ambiance with a hint of the buzz from other rooms. We started with some explanations of the menu and then toasted with a draft beer, The Malt's, priced at 530 yen. Tonight was a night to relax in Tamachi with a friend. Despite the slightly chilly weather, a sip of beer was the perfect way to start. The appetizers included engawa yukke (fluke sashimi), scallop with wasabi, and Matsumae pickles. I always look forward to the appetizers as they give a good sense of the restaurant's style. The appetizers here were a delightful surprise, almost feeling like a full dish rather than just a starter. Next, we ordered a plate of assorted pickles for 590 yen. The pickled daikon radish, cucumber, and burdock were lightly seasoned, perfect for nibbling between sips of sake. We then tried the salmon and ikura (salmon roe) potato salad for 890 yen. The salad had a tangy flavor that enhanced the taste of the ikura. We paired this with a special junmai sake called "Jikon" from Mie Prefecture. For sashimi, we tried a comparison of two types of fresh bluefin tuna for 1,490 yen. The bluefin tuna was incredibly delicious, making us wonder about the quality of the tuna we had before. We also enjoyed a special junmai sake called "Suminoe" from Miyagi Prefecture. We then had the Kyoto mackerel with miso marinade for 890 yen, which was flavorful and paired well with sake. We also tried the "Kokuryu Itchoryai" honjozo sake from Fukui Prefecture. Before finishing our meal, we ordered the dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet) for 730 yen, which had a moist texture and light flavor. To end the meal, we had the crab and ikura kamameshi (kettle rice) for 1,390 yen.

In Tamachi, we ordered a la carte for dinner and toasted with a glass of draft beer♫ The appetizers included raw beef with enoki mushrooms, octopus and cucumber vinegar salad, and Matsumae pickles. We asked the staff for recommendations and ordered a sashimi platter with three types of fish, as well as a comparison of two types of raw bluefin tuna. The sashimi platter had red snapper, black sea bream, and scallops, while the bluefin tuna comparison included lean tuna, medium fatty tuna, and seared medium fatty tuna. I especially enjoyed the scallop sashimi and the red tuna. The vegetable salad was fresh, and the blowfish tempura was delicious. For the main course, we ordered blackthroat seaperch cooked in Kyoto-style miso, and we also ordered eel rice, which took a bit longer to prepare. While waiting, we switched from beer to sake and enjoyed a mixed pickles platter and crab miso salad. The crab miso salad paired well with the sake we drank, which included Dassai, Ta-sake, Imo-jochu, and Kido. I look forward to trying the crab and salmon roe rice dish next time. We had a great time enjoying delicious fish and sake!

"Uo Gi" is an izakaya located about a 5-6 minute walk from JR Tamachi Station and Mita Subway Station, offering fresh seafood dishes and kamameshi. I visited the restaurant alone with a reservation at 9:00 PM. The interior has counter seats on the 1st floor and private rooms on the 2nd floor. There are acrylic panels installed at the counter seats for infection prevention. The menu offers a variety of fish dishes including the specialty kamameshi, sashimi, simmered dishes, grilled dishes, and fried dishes. The dishes I ordered included: - Hotate octopus wasabi, engawa yukke, kazunoko (appetizers) - Tuna sake kasu cream cheese - Salmon and ikura potato salad - Ankimo ponzu - Snow crab cream croquette with sea urchin sauce - Crab and ikura kamameshi (small) The "Crab and ikura kamameshi (small)" was made with "Haenuki" brand rice from Yamagata Prefecture, filled with the umami of crab. The soft texture of the crab and the popping texture of the ikura were enjoyable. However, the rice portion was a bit too much for one person. The "Snow crab cream croquette" was crispy and delicious, served with a special tartar sauce. The prices of the dishes are reasonable, making it a good option for those looking for an izakaya near Tamachi Station or Mita Station.

After work, I ordered a light drink.《Ordered a la carte》-Seafood overflowing sushi small 1390: Plenty of negitoro and ikura with uni on top! The sushi rice is firm with a good texture. Not just visually appealing, but truly delicious. -White hamaguri steamed in sake: A must-order dish, with large hamaguri clams and excellent broth. -Three kinds of sashimi (changed to medium fatty tuna) 1490: Buri, medium fatty tuna, salmon. -Steamed egg custard with crab sauce 630: Topped with seaweed, the taste was quite salty. It's quite luxurious with crab and ikura, but perhaps it could bring out the flavor of the egg a bit more. -Potato salad with salmon and ikura 890: Mixing smoked salmon and ikura with potatoes, incredibly delicious! -Blowfish tempura 690: Tempura made from small blowfish, with bones to crunch on. -Grilled tuna collar 990: Daily special collar, slightly fishy but juicy with plenty of meat. -Crab miso with shredded crab meat 790: Supposed to be eaten cold, but personally, I might prefer it grilled.

This time I went out for drinks with a colleague from work. She has a high sense of beauty, and her speech and appearance are cute, so I thought she was in her 30s the whole time, but it was a shock to find out she is actually 4 years younger than me! She drinks quite a bit of alcohol, and I want to learn from her. We went to a restaurant with delicious fish dishes in a private room. My companion smokes, so it's recommended for smokers as they can smoke there. We started with a toast with draft beer. The Suntory draft beer was 530 yen each. My companion ended up drinking about three glasses of draft beer. The appetizers were great - Chinese jellyfish, squid okra, and engawa yukke. It was my first time trying engawa yukke. Cheers with beer! I drank it all at once. We combined the options of two types of domestic tuna sashimi for 1490 yen and a 3 kinds of sashimi platter for 1290 yen. They ended up giving us more than 3 types when we combined them! The tuna sashimi, especially the red meat, tasted like fatty tuna with a sweet and delicious flavor. The seared fatty tuna was also delicious. The sashimi of golden snapper was the best! Even the 5 kinds of sashimi platter for 1990 yen was a great deal. The crab miso salad with plenty of crab miso and shredded crab meat in the crab shell was amazing! The salmon and ikura potato salad for 890 yen was a luxurious potato salad with plenty of salmon and ikura on top. Of course, sake goes well with fish dishes! So we ordered Kido Junmai Daiginjo for 570 yen. It's a sake from Wakayama Prefecture and very fruity and easy to drink! I tried it for the first time. We also tried Hidakami Tokubetsu Honjozo for 430 yen, which was made to pair well with fish dishes. It had a sharp and delicious taste that matched the sashimi perfectly! We thought we couldn't eat anymore, so we only ordered these at first, but the sashimi was so delicious that we ate more! And after drinking sake, we felt like having sparkling wine, but they only had it by the bottle, so we got a bottle of Takahata Yoshika for 4500 yen. It's a Chardonnay sparkling wine. The balance of sweetness and acidity was great and it was very delicious. We also ordered grilled isaki for 1090 yen, which had a perfect amount of salt and was cooked perfectly. The tuna and sake-steamed cream cheese for 590 yen was a great match for wine! The steamed white hamaguri for 890 yen had large clams! The seafood scattered sushi for 1290 yen was amazing! It was a luxurious scattered sushi with plenty of ikura and even crab and sea urchin. You must try it! Even though it was the last order, my companion suddenly wanted red wine, so we ordered a bottle of Asahimachi Wine for 4000 yen. It's a wine from Yamagata, and the owner is apparently from Yamagata and uses local rice for the wine. I really wanted to try their kama-meshi (rice cooked in a pot) as well, but we were too full to eat more, so I definitely want to try it next time I go there! Lastly, we took a picture with the handsome owner who made us feel relaxed. The alcohol and food were delicious, we could talk in a private room, and the handsome owner was there, so this time we ended up drinking and eating a lot more than usual. Wonderful restaurants always make you eat and drink too much! It was a sinful place, but I definitely want to go back again!

Last night was my second son's birthday! ❤ He loves fish, so he chose a restaurant in Mita called Uogi. I've been there a few times before, but they always have a different course menu. This time, they had a special spring menu that he really liked. My eldest son sent a congratulatory message, saying he wanted to join us, but then quickly followed up saying he couldn't make it due to work...always working without a break! He told me to enjoy on his behalf, so I always enjoy myself anyway. ♪ (laughs) Now, for the menu this time: - Grilled rape blossoms and cherry shrimp: Light and spring-like flavor. - Clam simmered in shigure sauce: Spicy with sansho pepper, perfect with sake. - Chinese cabbage and asparagus salad: My favorite, the asparagus and Chinese cabbage salad was the best. The fresh spring vegetables were really delicious. - Assorted sashimi: Black sea bream, medium fatty tuna, yellowtail. - Grilled cherry sea bream with yuzu miso: The cherry sea bream and yuzu miso were exquisite. - Tempura assortment of white fish and spring vegetables: The light tempura coating enveloped the white fish and spring vegetables nicely. - Choice of freshly cooked rice: Crab and salmon roe clay pot rice. The gentle flavor of the rice cooked with salmon roe and crab, topped with bright colors, elevated my mood. - Today's clear soup ❤ And finally, as a surprise, the manager brought out a birthday plate! When my son saw the plate with fireworks, he was so happy he got teary-eyed?! I was also so happy (laughs).
