Gift from my workplace. A confectionery shaped like "Navona" from Kameya Mannendo in Jiyugaoka, with two stores in Setagaya Ward. There are two types of assortments: "Apricot Jam" and "Cheese Butter," and I chose the apricot jam. Despite the fluffy appearance, there is a slight roughness and dryness, giving it a slightly dry feeling. Is this the usual state? Well... it's not bad, I guess (^_^;). Originally, the store name had the characters "Tokachi" in it, so maybe they use ingredients from Hokkaido?

Located in Minami-Karasuyama, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Fresh Pansée is a famous Japanese confectionery shop. Established in 1959, it is known for its delicious pastries. The nearest station is Chitose-Karasuyama Station on the Keio Line. Fresh Pansée is a must-have gift item. When you think of Tachibana, you think of Fresh Pansée. This time, I bought some for myself. The staff, consisting of at least two people, were very friendly. Today's order included: Fresh Pansée Cheese Butter x2, Fresh Pansée Apricot Jam, and Fresh Pansée Sakura Cream. Fresh Pansée is a baked confectionery with a fluffy brioche dough filled with cream or jam. The classic Cheese Butter flavor features a creamy blend of fresh butter and cheese sandwiched between brioche dough, with a hint of Izu Oshima salt. Another classic, Apricot Jam, is filled with delicious apricot jam. The limited-time Sakura Cream uses cherry blossom cream from Izu, Shizuoka. It has a spring-like finish. The Cheese Butter and Sakura Cream flavors have a shelf life of about one month, making them perfect for gifts. #FreshPansée #SetagayaSouvenir #JapaneseConfectionery #Chitokara #Sweets #JapaneseSweets #Gift #DefinitelyRevisit

Our eldest daughter's Shiba Inu passed away in January, and we received flowers from our neighbors. We were very grateful, and also received flowers from the animal hospital. In return, when we took our remaining Dachshund to the hospital, I thought of bringing some sweets. After considering what to bring, I decided to visit "Kashin Tachibana" after work, as it is near the nearest station to my workplace, Ashikaga Park, and within walking distance of Senzoku-Kuyama. Instead of the usual "Aokiya" sweets, I decided to try something different for a change and opted for Pansé after reading reviews online. I bought a set of around 10 pieces and also got 2 individual pieces for myself. They were called Busse. They were similar to the ones from Yamazaki that we are familiar with, but the texture was slightly different. The crispy outer layer was the same, but the inside was fluffy. Combined with the subtle sweetness, it was a nice experience. While it didn't have a "wow" factor, it was a reliably delicious choice. Along with Aokiya's Musashino Nisshi, Pansé might become one of my go-to options for souvenirs.

Sometimes I feel like eating Japanese sweets, and this is a shop where I can easily go to. It used to be located near the station crossing, but it has moved here. They are famous for their "panses," but they also have a variety of Japanese sweets available for different ways to enjoy. I intended to choose between sakuramochi and kashiwamochi when I entered the shop, and ended up choosing kashiwamochi. It was a choice between miso and koshi, and I chose koshi. They carefully wrapped it for me, and when I opened it at home, the scent of kashiwa was calming. The koshi-an and the mochi were both light, and I enjoyed eating them slowly. Thank you for the meal.

I have been eating the snack Fresh Panse (Cheese Butter) since I was a child. This snack used to be sold at a traditional Japanese confectionery shop in Sengokuuyama, and was even available at department stores for a while. Now, you can also buy it through Rakuten online shopping. I bought it as a souvenir and ended up getting some for my family too. It's still delicious as ever.

27th August 2021, First Visit. My wife bought me a souvenir on her way back from shopping. She bought "Peach Anmitsu". It was on sale, usually priced at 500 yen each, but this time, she got 3 for 1,000 yen (excluding tax). Peach Anmitsu is a limited-time product. When I opened the package, the agar jelly was in a separate bag, so I drained the water using a sieve. The ingredients included prunes, mochi, apricot honey, white peach paste, and green young peach compote. The honey was white honey, so it was light and delicious. This place seems to be famous for their Fresh Pansies. I would like to try it next time.

After enjoying the freshly made Mont Blanc at Cattleya, I decided to stop by this popular bakery in the area to get some delicious treats for after dinner. The shop's exterior and interior were filled with various types of Panse, making it hard to choose. Eventually, I settled on two classic Cheese Butter (140 yen each), two new Coffee flavor (140 yen each), and one of their new White Peach flavor (140 yen). When I opened the Cheese Butter, it looked like a typical biscuit. The cream inside had a strong cheese flavor, and the baked part was crispy and fragrant. It was light and delicious, just as I had imagined. I look forward to trying the Coffee flavor tomorrow. Overall, it was a taste that I would like to enjoy occasionally. Thank you for the meal.

Cream puffs made with autumn fruits. Apricot, grape, chestnut cream. All have gentle flavors. Apricot and grape are like jam cream. The harmony between the fluffy dough and the cream is delicious. It's a classic. One costs 108 yen, usually around 148 yen. It was on sale.

I went for a dental check-up that I had been postponing due to the pandemic. Everything went well, and after the first examination, I headed back to the station. It was nice to be back in Chitose-Karasuyama, the atmosphere in the shopping street was familiar with a few new shops. I decided to buy some pastries from Tabana-san on the way home. I got the Fresh Panse with cheese butter, rum raisin, and the limited edition Mont Blanc dorayaki. The Panse had the usual slightly crispy texture, and it melted in my mouth with the cream, delicious. The cheese butter had a nice salty flavor, not too creamy. The rum raisin Panse is a winter special with a hint of alcohol but not overpowering. The raisins were finely chopped to blend well with the cream. The Coffee Panse collaboration with Beans Kitami from Setagaya was fragrant and tasty. The Mont Blanc dorayaki was a stylish treat with chestnut paste in white bean paste and chestnut pieces on top of a chestnut-flavored sponge cake. It was moist and brought out the chestnut flavor nicely. I wish I had bought more. The Jagasen was like a potato version of shrimp senbei, crunchy and addictive. It was a perfect snack. Visiting Tabana-san brought back nostalgic memories of the neighborhood. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the delicious treats.

It seems that it is surprisingly difficult to find this product if you are not along the Keio Line. I bought it after talking with a colleague at work and feeling nostalgic. Flavors like cheese cream and coffee are available. The slightly crunchy pastry sandwiched with cheese cream is delicious. It's also convenient that it has a good shelf life.

During this difficult time when going out is challenging, I tried ordering some delicious sweets. I ordered the "Seasonal Panse Assortment of 7" from "Kashin Tachibana" for 1,112 yen. Tachibana is a long-established Japanese confectionery store located in Setagaya, Tokyo, with five stores in the city. The Panse I ordered is a baked confectionery made of shortbread dough with cream or jam filling. It includes the classic Cheese Butter and Anzu, as well as seasonal limited editions like Kyoho Grape and Chestnut Cream, totaling four varieties. The seasonal items change periodically, allowing locals to experience the changing seasons through these Panse treats. The Cheese and Chestnut Cream ones have cream filling, while Anzu and Kyoho Grape have jam. The outside is crispy while the inside is moist, and it was truly delicious. It's no wonder they have won the Monde Selection Gold Award. I will definitely order again! You can order from their stores or on Rakuten, so if you're interested, give it a try. It's really tasty and would also make a great gift!

Every year, I receive Panse as a gift, and I've been eating it without much thought. It turns out that it is a low-sugar dessert created by a famous pastry chef. I recently received it again, and I noticed that the design had changed and become a bit more stylish. The Panse flavors included Cheese Butter, Mango, Apricot, Pineapple Water Yokan (smooth red bean paste, chunky red bean paste), Black Sugar Mochi, and Ramune Mochi. Panse is best enjoyed with fresh milk. The most popular flavor is Cheese Butter, which is high in calories (160kcal) but incredibly delicious. It lacks saltiness, has a gentle and fluffy sweetness, and a rich buttery aroma that captivates us. The least popular flavor was Apricot, with its thick and rich sweetness, although it's tasty, it may be less appealing due to its lower calorie content or the seasonal limited availability of Pineapple and Mango. Which one would you choose? Let's analyze your psyche. If you choose Cheese Butter, you may be easily influenced by trends or have a strong love for fats. Be cautious of lifestyle diseases. If you choose Pineapple and Mango, you may be seeking a sense of superiority by having something that others don't. If you crave excitement, try eating insect cuisine! If you choose Apricot, it may indicate a kind and considerate nature, or simply a lack of interest in sweets. Perhaps dipping it in rum mixed with lots of sugar would make it delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I purchased this souvenir at the Seijo Ishii section of Queen's Isetan on May 28, 2020. I'm happy that I can buy souvenirs that are not available in local supermarkets in commercial areas like this. When you think of Tachibana, you think of their "busse" (butter sandwich), but this is a collaboration product with the coffee shop "Beans" in Kitami. It's been a while since I've been to Kuroyama or Kitami... The Café au lait milk anko is a Western-style confection that seems to appeal to women. However, it's not too sweet, and you can definitely taste the "café au lait" flavor. When you think of Tachibana, you remember the factory that used to be in Tsutsujigaoka. It's a familiar shop for people along the Keio Line.

"Kashintachibanana" is a Japanese confectionery shop located in Sengoku-Uyama with its main store. They have five branches in Tokyo. Their signature confection is the Panse. Please note that the shop only offers take-out, no dining in option. The seasonal Panse assortment of 7 pieces costs ¥1112. When you open the pale lemon-colored beautiful wrapping paper, you will find four vibrant bags in red, orange, yellow, and green. The Panse, a type of shortbread, is the representative confection of Kashintachibanana. The assortment of 7 pieces includes four different flavors. This time, it was cheese, apricot, matcha, and white peach. Cheese and matcha have cream filling, while apricot and white peach have jam filling. The crispy outer layer and fluffy inner texture are delightful. The light texture makes it easy to eat. The Panse is a sweet that won the Gold Award at the 2019 Monde Selection."

I purchased these pastries from the company co-op. Fresh Panse Sakura Cream 150 yen: A fluffy, light pastry about 70mm in diameter and 15mm thick, filled with sakura-flavored cream. Both the pastry and the cream have a light sweetness. The cream is sticky and has a taste reminiscent of salted sakura. Fresh Panse White Peach 150 yen: Similar in size to the Sakura pastry, this pastry has a sweet and slightly tart white peach cream filling. Fresh Panse Apricot Jam 150 yen: Similar in size to the Sakura pastry, this pastry has a light, tangy apricot jam filling. Fresh Panse Coffee Flavor 150 yen: Similar in size to the Sakura pastry, this pastry has a creamy coffee-flavored cream filling with a hint of bitterness that is delicious.

There used to be a traditional Japanese sweets chain store along the old Koshu Highway, but it seems like they have moved to a new location without me knowing. The store is spacious and bright, and the staff is friendly. I tried the Fresh Panse (excluding tax 140 yen), which I heard won some kind of award for its cheese butter flavor. It's a classic choice, right? Fresh Panse at Tachibana = Cheese Butter. The surface looks a bit dry, but the dough melts in your mouth. Inside, there is a very smooth cream filling. The buttery flavor and creaminess come through, making it consistently delicious every time you eat it.

A familiar confectionery shop in the area, known for its treats for special occasions or everyday enjoyment. Every 25th of the month is a gratitude day, where the popular "Fresh Panse" is available at a special price. This month, in celebration of their 60th anniversary, they held a 3-day gratitude festival. I purchased two classic Panse flavors (butter and apricot). The fluffy brioche dough combined with the butter and apricot filling was deliciously exquisite.

I learned from a review by a fellow reviewer that the renowned patissier, Hiroshi Tsujiguchi, who has operated shops such as Mont Saint Clair and produced numerous Western sweets, supervised the release of Fresh Panse. I had the chance to visit the main store in Chitose-Karasuyama and purchase it. The main store used to be located near the station crossing for a long time, but it seems to have been relocated to the middle of Karasuyama 6th Street shopping street, perhaps due to the elevated line switching work on the Keio Line. This was my first visit to the new store. Although the store area has become slightly smaller, the atmosphere where you can shop calmly remains unchanged. This time, I bought the Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate varieties of Fresh Panse specially supervised by Hiroshi Tsujiguchi, as well as the classic Cheese Butter and the limited-time Chestnut Cream and Japanese-style Pie with Anno Sweet Potato and Apple. Fresh Panse resembles the N from the famous confectionery store K, but the texture of the dough is different. When you pick it up and eat it, the surface feels slightly dry and crispy, giving a simple and rustic impression. This is actually a point that I like. The Fresh Panse supervised by Tsujiguchi has 30% less sugar than the conventional product, with 15.5g of sugar. Still, it is a delightful treat that tastes just as delicious as before. The dough was prepared by replacing some of the high-sugar flour with almond powder. As a result, the color and flavor are beautifully and elegantly finished. The chocolate cream inside also uses the development chocolate by Tsujiguchi, a chocolatier, called "Chocolat Universe Sugar Control Chocolate." Although it is about 70 yen more expensive than the conventional product, I believe it is well worth the price. The Cheese Butter has a unique taste that is different from buttercream made by combining butter and cheese, typical of Tabana-san. The Chestnut Cream did not have a strong chestnut flavor, but it seemed that paste-like chestnuts from Kumamoto Prefecture were kneaded into the cream. The Japanese-style Pie is a confectionery wrapped in pie dough with sweet potato paste from Anno, Kagoshima Prefecture, and apple paste from Nagano Prefecture. The pie dough is moist, so there is no worry of the pie breaking and falling apart. The sweetness of the paste also matched the pie dough perfectly. I have not confirmed whether Tsujiguchi's supervised Panse will continue in the future, but I hope it will become a regular item. Thank you for the delicious treat.

This is my first time writing a review for this shop, but I have bought souvenirs from here a few times. The overall impression is that it is a beloved local shop for the common people. This time, on May 5th, I was looking for Kashiwa Mochi. Last year, it was exactly May 5th when the state of emergency was declared, so I remember that. Anyway, I went to the shop. Oh, there's a line. Indeed, it's May 5th. It was tough to wait in line, so I gave up on having it as a snack at 3 o'clock and decided to go back for a rematch around 6:30 pm, and what a surprise. It was on sale. Kashiwa Mochi was 2 for the price of 1. Unfortunately, it wasn't half price for 1. And these 2 were the same flavor, so I couldn't taste 2 different ones. Putting that aside, I bought 2 pieces of miso paste for 194 yen including tax. I prefer miso paste for Kashiwa Mochi (no particular reason), but it's hard to find a shop that sells it, so I'm happy. I'll have it with green tea for my evening snack (don't say that evening snacks make you gain weight). It's delicious. Just delicious. I finished both pieces. I think Kashiwa Mochi is delicious no matter where you buy it, but the fact that I could eat 2 pieces without feeling too heavy or sick means it's definitely delicious. I have bought their Jo-nama (fresh) and assorted sweets and manju before, and they were all just delicious. I remember feeling that the quality of Jo-nama was higher in a department store's traditional Japanese sweets shop. The manju and other items were not exceptionally delicious, but just good. I hope this shop continues to be loved as a local favorite.

Pance is a shop in Sengoku-yama known for its bread and traditional Japanese sweets. Pance has become quite popular over the past 25 years. Their signature item is a sandwich made with fresh butter and seasonal fruit jam, such as apricot. It is always fresh and never gets boring. Sometimes you can even find their products at Keio Supermarket along the train line. They also make handmade "senbei" rice crackers with a crispy texture and sweet red bean filling. Originally a traditional Japanese sweets shop, they recently developed a special coffee-flavored raisin sandwich called "Beppe-san" for Setagaya, Tokyo souvenirs. It is made with brown cookies filled with raisins and a slightly brown cream. It is a collaboration between Setagaya tourism products and Beans and Tachibana from Kitami. The sandwich has a unique coffee and rum raisin flavor and can be stored for a while.
