Once you eat here, you'll definitely want to come back! This is my third visit, but it's always crowded! We charged in with three hungry people! First, we toasted with beer and highballs. The roasted pork at this restaurant is delicious! We ordered a variety of dishes. Even though it was busy, the food was served quickly! Impressive! The dishes just kept coming one after another to our table. The liver with sesame salt was so tasty! The texture was excellent and the flavor was amazing! All the skewers had a strong saltiness that went perfectly with the drinks. The grilling was done well and the service speed was on point! We ate nearly 40 skewers between the three of us and drank a lot of alcohol too. The drinks are strong, cheap, and delicious, making "Shimonoya" the best! The cabbage is recommended for a palate cleanser! Roasted pork, cabbage, roasted pork, cabbage, roasted pork, cabbage... We had 3 plates of cabbage. I didn't take a photo, but the simmered offal was delicious too. The yam was also tasty. I want to eat here again. Thank you for the meal!

On a Saturday afternoon, I took a stroll in Ekoda and ended up here. I sat at the lively counter and first ordered a Hoppy all for myself. Cheers! I started with the Eshallet and took a big gulp. Then I tried the cold dishes - heart, tongue, and head - with garlic soy sauce that was so stimulating. The textures and flavors were amazing. I couldn't resist ordering some grilled items, so I added some sausages. They were delicious too! It was a satisfying meal. Cold dishes in summer with a drink like Hoppy are the best, right?

A bottle of beer, one glass of Kinmiya Umeshu, six skewers, motsu-nikomi, and miso cabbage cost 2280 yen. It seems that prices have gone up since April, but the cost performance is top-class. Additionally, the 20% cashback with PayPay in Nerima Ward is very attractive. However, I wish the motsu-nikomi was cooked more, and the quality of the skewers was just average for the price.

On a Saturday afternoon, I took a leisurely walk in Echoda. I decided to visit this particular restaurant. I greeted the manager and ordered a Hoppy. I started by nibbling on some shallots to offset the calories. The grilled tongue and cheek were cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed them with salt. Adding some liver and cabbage simmered in soy sauce made the meal even better. Everything was just right after two rounds of drinks. The restaurant near the station is definitely worth visiting!

Around 6:00 PM on January 14, 2022, I went out to explore some izakayas for dinner. Not feeling too hungry, I decided to stop by Yonmaya. The place was about 40% full. The three key points here are: rich flavors, affordable prices, and delicious food. Both the drinks and dishes were incredibly flavorful. Even as a drinker, I was taken aback by the intense saltiness. One skewer could easily go with a bowl of rice. The oolong highball was strong enough to get you tipsy in just one glass. And the prices were very reasonable. I left feeling satisfied and it only cost me around 1,400 yen per person. The drinks were also cheap, starting from the 300 yen range. The skewers were priced at 110 yen each. Other dishes were also very affordable. Despite not having high expectations due to the low prices, everything was surprisingly delicious. Of course, the intense flavors might compensate for some shortcomings, but overall, it was a very satisfying experience. These kinds of casual izakayas are likely heavily affected by the pandemic. The branch at Kitaguchi Ekoda has already closed down. As a budget-conscious customer, I want to support places like this to ensure they can continue operating. Hello! I am a table tennis girl! (^ω^) I visited here during the New Year's drinking tournament in Egota! It was amazing as always, the atmosphere was so exciting!! I was enjoying grilled pork skewers and bottled beer so much that I was already a bit tipsy, but the pork skewers were so delicious, especially the pork tongue which was so tender and heavenly! Grilled pork skewers at Yonmaya are always delicious, and they also have a great selection of classic snacks like cucumbers, which pair perfectly with beer. Even though I might end up with a hangover the next day, the taste was so good that I couldn't resist. That's the life of a drinker, right? Don't worry about it! (^ω^) I wish I had better alcohol tolerance so I could enjoy drinking at such a wonderful restaurant without any worries. Yonmaya, the pride of Egota! (^ω^)

Just a 1-minute walk from the north exit of Ekoda Station, this place is in a great location! With the restrictions lifted, I can now enjoy a Saturday afternoon drink without any worries. The fact that they open at 1:00 pm is really convenient. The owner is friendly and always greets me warmly, even when I'm drinking alone at the counter. I started off with a Hoppy cheers! and ordered some simmered liver and shallots, which were reasonably priced and perfect for solo drinking. I kept ordering drinks and requested grilled shirotare and nakaochi. The negi-yaki and shiitake-yaki helped alleviate any guilt, and by the time I had my second plate of nakaochi, I was feeling great! This place is a strong ally for solo drinkers on Saturday afternoons - friendly, close to the station, and delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I have a collection of complete manga series, and one of them is "Naniwa Kinyuudo." This manga focuses on money lenders like Ashihara and Kuwata from Teikoku Financial, as well as the shabby-looking graduate of Shiryu University, Yoshimura. The characters are unique and interesting, and the story often features scenes in izakayas (Japanese pubs). I used to feel a mix of disdain and admiration for characters like Kuwata, who seemed rough around the edges. I thought to myself, "I want to visit a place like that when I grow up!" Many years have passed since then, and the world is now in an unprecedented state of silence. The streets are deserted, and even the rowdy individuals have disappeared. Where did everyone go? As I pondered this, I came across an unbelievable sight. There were people, actual people. Before I knew it, I found myself inside a restaurant. The people there were definitely human, not turned into golems. Although they didn't speak in Kansai dialect, it felt like I was in a scene from "Naniwa Kinyuudo." The beef tripe stew had a thick and gooey texture, filled with a variety of offal that provided an interesting mouthfeel. The horse sashimi tasted like typical frozen food. However, the Hoppy drink was delicious. It was just a regular Hoppy, but maybe it tasted extra good because it had been a while since I last had it. Wait, did they even serve Hoppy at Yonmaya? But I didn't care about that. I suddenly felt the urge to read "Naniwa Kinyuudo" again.

When I peeked inside the restaurant, I saw that there were plenty of seats available, so I decided to go in without hesitation. I greeted the manager and ordered a glass of Hoppy. Drinking outside is the best! The food was delicious, especially the escargot and grilled dishes. Even though I quickly finished my Hoppy, I ordered another glass of shochu and ended up paying around 1,500 yen. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely be back next time!

I went on a long journey to the opposite side to visit Yonmaya, but unfortunately it was closed. I revisited Yonmaya at the south exit. It was past 5:30 pm and about half of the seats were taken. People are already drinking in the daylight. The storefront is open, so there is some ventilation. The entrance has alcohol disinfection available. They offer bottled beer, lemon sour, grilled liver with green onions, beef tongue, miso cabbage, beef steak, grilled green onions, and chilled beef tongue. This menu is pretty standard for Yonmaya. The quality remains consistent, both in a good and bad way. The meat quality is good, the presentation is simple, and the chilled dishes were delicious. Without Yonmaya, it seems unlikely that I would come all the way to Egota.

Recently, I have been hesitant to go out drinking due to the prevailing circumstances. However, on my way to Ekoda Station after lunch, I stumbled upon a place that was already open. With no other customers in sight, I confidently entered the open space near the entrance. The taste and satisfaction of drinking outside of home were a refreshing change, as it smoothly went down my throat and spread through my body. I ordered senmai (pig intestines) and daikon radish with pickled ginger on the side. The crunchy texture of the senmai paired perfectly with the sweet and sour miso flavor. Eating the daikon radish added a healthy touch to the meal. Don't let fear of the pandemic stop you from enjoying a drink! Conversations with the manager were complimentary and enjoyable. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will definitely come back for a daytime drink on Saturdays when they open at 1 pm. Enjoy a confident daytime drink in the open space near the entrance of Shimonoya, where you can also enjoy Hoppy!

Hello, this is Hanedaman! Yesterday, after going to Toshimaen with my family, I had some time to myself to enjoy some yakitori! I'm grateful to my mother-in-law for that opportunity. Since I had a big meal for lunch, I ordered 2 skewers of sesame oil liver and 2 skewers of beef tsukune to avoid feeling too full. I also had some cabbage to go with it to prevent indigestion. I forgot to take a picture, but I also tried the simmered offal which was delicious! The cabbage with the offal was a great combination, both tasty and gentle on the stomach. The liver skewers were tasty with the sesame oil and green onions. The simmered dish was good, although it didn't have my favorite parts this time. It's all a matter of luck! I decided to be spontaneous and ordered wine, which was poured generously like sake for only 350 yen, amazing! Paired with the beef tsukune, it felt like dining at a Western-style restaurant. I would love to visit this place again when I'm in the area!

There is a grilled pork tongue restaurant near Nishi-Ogikubo Station. The grilled pork tongue is cheap and delicious. When I ordered the tongue and liver without salt sauce, it came with sauce. Maybe the sauce is the default. The sauce went well with the tongue, so it was good. They also have seasonal vegetables on the counter, which can be grilled on skewers. Today, I stopped by a restaurant for a New Year's first drink with my university seniors. It's great that they are open during the day. The place is small, so it's best to go in small groups. Grilled dishes start at 100 yen, and chilled dishes start at 150 yen, which is affordable. The wasabi pickled tripe was a perfect snack with just the right flavor.
