I heard that there is a bookstore with cats in Sangenjaya, so I decided to visit. It's a dream come true for cat lovers! You can enjoy a delicious draft beer (probably Sapporo Black Label judging from the glass) while watching the cats. You can also look at books and interact with the cat staff. The beer was surprisingly delicious! When I complimented the staff on how good it was, they replied, "We work hard on cleaning the taps!" Indeed, the taste of draft beer is directly related to the maintenance of the taps. The small draft beer is only 300 yen, which is an amazing price, so I ended up drinking three glasses (laughs). I wish there was a place like this near my home so I could visit every week. I bought a book called "Until the Dream Cat Bookstore is Created" about this cat bookstore, so I'm looking forward to reading it. Exciting! (=‘x‘=)

There is a bookstore with cats. It's not a cat cafe. Is "book cafe" the correct term? They have new books, used books, all related to cats. From photo books to novels, there are plenty of cat books. I enjoyed a cup of coffee while looking at books. The coffee was carefully brewed. It had a nice aroma and made me feel cozy. The downside is that the store is small. You need to be mindful of other customers when moving around. Despite the small space, the atmosphere is nice. There is a spacious area for cats (such as catwalks) for the cats. They all seemed relaxed and comfortable. Recommended for cat lovers. It was very soothing.

In August 2017, a bookstore filled with cat-related books run by rescued cats opened within walking distance of Sangenjaya. The store only carries books related to cats. I visited the cute house in a residential area where the store is located, but it was a bit hard to find. I arrived right after the store opened at 2 pm. The entrance area had new books, while the back section was separated by sliding doors and contained old cat books and tables. The cat shop assistant greeted me as I entered. I had to be careful to keep the door closed so the cats wouldn't escape. I changed into slippers, ordered a Wednesday Cat (500 yen), beer, and iced coffee (300 yen) from the real cat shop assistant, and sat down. Some cats approached me, while others were napping since it was after lunchtime. There were about 4-5 cats in total. It's not a cat cafe, so the main focus is on cat books. The place quickly filled up with customers, showing how popular it is. The small space filled up fast, but everyone was focused on browsing cat books while occasionally glancing at the cats. It was surprising to see so many cat books available, including some rare finds that cat lovers would enjoy. I leisurely flipped through books while sipping on beer and coffee. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. A portion of the sales is donated to a cat rescue organization, making it worth a visit for cat lovers.
