I went to Yakiniku Traji at Shinjuku Takashimaya. It was lunchtime, but I ordered from the dinner menu. The thick-cut tongue salt was reliably delicious, and I tried the rare miso-marinated chuck flap tail, which was also tasty. I had a decanter beer, but I think draft beer is definitely tastier.

This was my first visit, so I ordered the course menu. I thought I might need to add some more meat, but the amount was just right. It's not cheap, but considering the privacy and atmosphere, it's reasonable. Perfect for a meal with someone special.

At my first visit to Toraji, I ordered a set meal (I forgot the name) and a set of tongue. We had a private room, but three-quarters of the wall was open, so it felt semi-private. I really wanted to try the beef tongue, so I ordered the set in a small size, but I ended up getting really full. The beef tongue came with chopped green onions and garlic chips, which added a luxurious touch to the thick slices of tongue. I remember that the lean meat wasn't too fatty. The meat dipped in the sauce made the rice taste even better. Personally, I appreciated the smoothie and even got a stick ice cream for dessert. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I stopped by Trattoria in Takashimaya Shinjuku on the 14th floor. I arrived at 13:20 and was seated at 14:00, so I didn't have to wait too long. You can check your turn by scanning a QR code with your phone, and if you register your email, you will receive a notification when it's your turn. This way, you can relax and pass the time elsewhere, and 40 minutes passed by quickly. Since it was New Year's, they were only serving a lunch set menu or a la carte. I ordered the lunch set, which included grilled beef tongue, kalbi, fillet, harami, and jumbo shrimp. The side dishes were two small plates and kimchi. It also came with rice and soup for 4800 yen. Lastly, even though it wasn't on the menu, they served complimentary stick ice cream.

I heard about a campaign for Meat Day and decided to visit. The location was on the 14th floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya near Shinjuku Station. Since it was a weekday, I was hoping the 14th floor would be quiet with the shops not too crowded. However, being a popular restaurant, there was a wait, so I registered on the touch panel at the entrance and waited. After about 20 minutes, my name was called and I was seated. The restaurant had individual seats enclosed by partitions, giving a private room-like feel. There was a round stone on the stove, which caught my attention. I ordered the Diamond Cut Kalbi and Stone Bibimbap from the Meat Day campaign menu. The meat arrived first, with diamond cuts on the chunk of meat. I grilled it over the fire, then cut it with scissors to eat. The heated fat had a sweet flavor, and the tender meat was even easier to eat with the cuts. The Stone Bibimbap had a generous portion. I wanted to take a photo, so I asked not to mix it for me. I added plenty of gochujang to my liking and roughly mixed it. The stone bowl was hot enough to create crispy rice along the edges, which was delicious. There were plenty of vegetables, making it a satisfying lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I had the opportunity to go to Takashimaya, and while waiting for someone, I got hungry so I had lunch at this restaurant. The interior of the restaurant was clean. The staff were average. As for the food, it was... The cost performance was... If asked if I would like to visit again, it's a... restaurant.

I went to this restaurant for lunch and ordered a la carte. Every type of meat was delicious, and I completely forgot to take pictures as I enjoyed dishes like diamond-cut meat, assorted hormone plate, and stone-grilled bibimbap. All the meats were tender and high quality, with the beef tongue having a nice chewiness that paired well with the green onion salad. It was delicious. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to treat myself to some good meat at my friend's lunch birthday, so we chose a place with a nice view and a quiet atmosphere. The highlight was the beef tongue, which was amazing! The dipping sauce was also delicious. The salad included vegetable chips and a cute assortment of kimchi, which had just the right amount of flavor. It was a relaxing lunch without any smoke, so it was a great experience!

This is a yakiniku chain restaurant located above Shinjuku Takashimaya. I have visited their other locations about three times, so I decided to dine at this restaurant seeking a sense of security. However, the quality of the meat and the service were quite disappointing. The meat, from gyutan (beef tongue) to harami (skirt steak), was tough and not very tasty. It was a far cry from the experience at Toraji in Shiodome. The service, including the lack of friendliness and slow reactions from the staff, was also disappointing, with even the foreign staff members lacking in hospitality. Perhaps my expectations were too high because of Toraji's reputation.

I chose the standard course. You can eat a variety of dishes from kimchi to dessert. The meat is tender and has a sweet taste from the oil, very delicious. Especially the kalbi and harami♡ I don't usually like cold noodles, but I found these cold noodles easy to eat. The broth is delicious. The noodles are not konjac noodles, they are chewy with a good texture and a smooth finish. I didn't know that milk ice cream would be served at the end at Toraji (^。^) The interior of the restaurant is clean and there is no smoky atmosphere, so I was able to enjoy the meal until the end.

◆Tora-ji Gozen: Kalbi, Harami, Hile, Thick-cut Beef Tongue, Some Vegetables, Kimchi, Hijiki, Marinated Beef, Wakame Soup.
◆Seafood Chijimi: Crispy on the outside, special sauce is delicious, though the amount of seafood is a bit disappointing.
◆Wakame and Nori Salad: Different textures of vegetables, wakame, and nori make this salad delicious.
The menu not only includes yakiniku sets but also dishes like kuppabap, bibimbap, and naengmyeon, offering a variety of options to enjoy. The non-meat dishes are also tasty. If you want to indulge in high-quality delicious meat, this is the perfect place!

After the New Year in Shinjuku, I went to Isetan but it was too crowded so I ended up at Takashimaya. I wanted to eat at Din Tai Fung but there was a 2-hour wait... Ended up having yakiniku instead for my New Year's meal. The "Eating First Lunch" set for 3,800 yen includes thick-cut tongue salt, kalbi, lean roast, harami, and large shrimp, along with side dishes, kimchi, rice, and soup. The "Special Eating First Lunch" set for 4,800 yen includes premium sirloin, premium harami, thick-cut upper tongue salt, fillet, and large shrimp, with similar side dishes and coffee included. The meat was decently tasty but the portion was a bit small... I felt like it was a bit expensive for the quantity. I ended up adding some hormone separately. This menu is available from January 1st to January 13th, 2020, depending on the store. So if you're interested, check it out.

Meat Day special lunch for 1,500 yen. It's a bit expensive but at this price, it's worth it. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:30, so I didn't have to wait much to get in. The meat was delicious as always. It's nice that they serve smoothies first. Maybe expensive meat at fancy restaurants tastes better because of the atmosphere.

We visited this restaurant on a weekday night to celebrate a friend's promotion. We had to wait for about 30 minutes as we didn't have a reservation. The restaurant was located in a department store in Shinjuku, so we understood the wait. We were initially seated at a regular table, but they kindly moved us to a semi-private room upon request, which was a nice touch. We ordered dishes such as cabbage kimchi, assorted namul, thick-cut tongue with salt, premium kalbi, harami, tongue meatballs, harami sushi, and yukgaejang kukpa. The total cost came out to be a little over 7000 yen per person. The food was average overall, with the cabbage kimchi being on the sweeter side and tasting like store-bought kimchi. The namul was decent. The best dish was the thick-cut tongue with salt, offering a good balance of thickness and texture. However, the premium kalbi was too fatty and lacked quality. Considering the price we paid, the lack of depth in flavor was disappointing. We had hoped for a better dining experience at such a popular restaurant. If we visit Shinjuku again, we'd like to try a different yakiniku restaurant next time.

After the passing of a typhoon on a rainy Monday holiday, Times Square was reached around 11:30 am. Despite the cold weather, there were more people than expected. The waiting chairs in each store were filled, and many people were standing. I wrote my name and waited for about 15 minutes before entering. The restaurant opened at 11 am, so it was the perfect time for the first round. I ordered the BBQ beef set for 2,300 yen. After being served water and a wet towel, a smoothie arrived. It was a thick smoothie with over ten types of vegetables and fruits, not particularly chilled. The grill was lit with a single electronic switch. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The lunch set was all placed on one tray. It included ribs, lean meat, skirt steak, shrimp, carrots, pumpkin, and white mochi. The meat was thick and large. The side dishes included pickled vegetables, simmered hijiki seaweed, and thinly sliced meat. The sesame-flavored seaweed soup and a portion of rice that seemed small but turned out to be just right. The meat was served without any toppings, allowing you to savor it as is. The table had only sauce and lemon provided. You just need to grill and enjoy the food. The lunch set can be enjoyed slowly due to the size and thickness of the meat. It's a good restaurant for a leisurely lunch in an environment where you can take your time, rather than a quick lunch break. I will definitely come back.

I visited the restaurant for lunch on a Sunday afternoon around 12 o'clock. It is located on the 14th floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya Times Square. It was the first Sunday of the Obon holiday week, so there were long lines in front of each restaurant on the 12th to 14th floors. After registering on the entry machine, we were able to enter the restaurant as the second group of waiting customers in about 10 minutes.
I ordered the Toroji Gozen Size L (3000 yen including tax), which included delicious raw tongue with a smooth texture and unique flavor, flavorful black wagyu raw kalbi with just the right amount of fat, tender and mild fillet, and a pleasant harami texture. The set also came with rice, light wakame soup, simmered beef tendon, hiziki seaweed, a mildly spicy kakuteki, and for some reason, a vegetable smoothie. Unfortunately, I realized later that I was charged for the L size (+300 yen) even though I didn't order it. The portion was generous, so I assume they served me the L size as per the receipt, but it was disappointing.
I also tried the Filet Steak Gozen (3200 yen including tax), which included a hearty 150g portion of tender and mild fillet steak grilled on a net and cut for easy eating. The tender texture was very appealing. The set came with salad, rice, light wakame soup, simmered beef tendon, hiziki seaweed, a mildly spicy kakuteki, and a milk-flavored ice candy for dessert. We also enjoyed a draft beer for 680 yen including tax. In total, the bill came to 6880 yen for two people.

I added 300 yen to upgrade to the L set from the Traji Gozen set for 2700 yen! With the L set, you get an extra piece each of tongue, kalbi, and harami, and rice and soup are free refills. It's a great deal for just 300 yen more! I also added the pork assortment as a side dish, which comes with lettuce, spicy miso, garlic, and chili. The beef was satisfying for the price, but the pork was just average, probably because it wasn't a premium brand. I regret not adding more beef instead. One thing to note is that when switching from beef to pork, they didn't change the grill, so the pork picked up some burnt sauce from the beef. Make sure to ask for a grill change next time before this happens! Overall, the staff was friendly and I would consider going back for the beef again for lunch. Just my personal opinion for reference.

The last order was at 10:00 PM, but we arrived at 9:45 PM! It was close, so we quickly ordered what we wanted to eat in the order that came to mind. Wakame and Korean seaweed salad, thick-cut tongue, heart, small intestine, kalbi, and kalbi soup. Surprisingly, I liked the miso-flavored horumon the most. We started with the thick-cut tongue, which was delicious as always! I usually save the best for last, so I grilled the tongue last, but it seemed to have too much fat this time. Even though it was the same dish, it felt heavier than the tongue I had at the beginning.
