I fell in love with the coffee YANAKA Deep Aroma that I received from a friend. I love all the varieties, but my favorite is Monteshokorad. You can also buy freshly roasted coffee beans at the shop and enjoy a cup of coffee on the spot. It's a luxurious experience.

On September 29, 2020, I had an iced milk coffee (medium size for 360 yen) and rated it 3.0 stars. I visited on a Tuesday at 3:50 pm. It seemed like they had just started allowing customers to dine in, and there was one seat available inside. This time, I got my order to go. Unfortunately, the milk coffee was not tasty at all. The staff seemed a bit flustered when making it, so I was a bit worried. Did they make it incorrectly? This is concerning.

This is a coffee specialty shop located off the main street of Ooyama Shopping Street, with a calm atmosphere. You can enjoy your drink inside, but the menu consists only of drinks! They offer four types of blend coffee and milk coffee, both hot and iced. The shop is filled with coffee beans, and you can even see them being ground, creating a pleasant coffee aroma throughout. I had the blend coffee for here, and although I'm not a coffee expert, it was not too bitter or too acidic, just easy to drink and delicious. They also have individually packaged cookies near the register, making it a nice spot for a little sweet treat. While enjoying my coffee, I noticed many customers coming in to buy coffee beans, indicating that this is a popular shop.

While taking a walk and looking for a place to rest and sit down, I came across this shop. I entered and ordered the coffee of the day at the counter. There were only 3 seats at the counter. Inside the shop, various types of coffee beans (raw beans) were displayed. When orders come in over the phone or in person, they measure the beans and process them in the roasting machine inside the shop. The aroma of coffee coming from the coffee machine is nice, but the roasted aroma drifting from the roasting machine is simply amazing. Of course, the aroma of the coffee served is also fantastic. It's clear yet has a deep flavor. Freshly brewed coffee is truly the best.

On my way back from the mountains, I bought freshly roasted coffee beans. When I entered the shop, I saw rows of white coffee beans lined up, clearly emphasizing their freshly roasted quality. I purchased 100g of the recommended Ilgacheffe Sand Dry Ethiopia for 820 yen. While drinking a hot coffee for 220 yen in the eat-in corner, they roasted the beans I ordered right in front of me. I brought them home, ground them immediately, and hand-dripped them. The coffee in the dripper swelled up nicely and steamed in a very good state. A delicious coffee with a clear, transparent taste, free of any bitterness, was made. It feels really good. Freshness is indeed key.

【Visit Motive】I came here because it's nearby.【Atmosphere】Located 4 minutes from the station. The exterior of the shop is marked as a coffee shop. The interior is bright and tidy, with impactful beans. There are 3 seats for dining in. The air conditioning is effective, which is nice as it's getting warmer.【Taste】They weren't serving the coffee of the day, so I ordered the following item which I haven't tried yet as it's only available for hot, iced coffee, and iced milk coffee. Payment is made in advance. For other beans, you can order and have them roasted (about 20 minutes wait if not busy) to take home and brew yourself.● Iced Milk Coffee (Regular) 270 yenThe milk is already mixed in when served. (The coffee base is probably Italian roasted) When you drink it, the bitterness is somewhat weak, with a mild sweetness and flavor, with syrup provided separately. As a product, it has a mild taste and is better than cafes that charge higher prices. Rating: 3.6 out of 5 (average rating 3)※ If you want the best coffee in Oyama, go to Traviata. If you want to keep the cost down with decent taste, go to the main store.【Additional comments】Yanaka Coffee is a chain store, so they purchase beans in bulk and roast them at each store. The brand of the coffee of the day is left to each store. There was no smell of roasting in the store, and the ventilation system seemed good. It would be nice if they stored the beans at room temperature better (excluding those to be used within a few days)...【Overall】A pretty good product. This shop should be more well-known.

I casually stopped by and was lured in by the fragrant aroma of coffee. It was a hot day, so I got an iced coffee to go for 190 yen. It came with a thin straw. Sip♪( ´▽`) Delicious. The taste didn't get lost in the melting ice. The portion size wasn't big, but it was just right for adults. You can also drink it in the shop, but since selling beans is their main focus, it feels a bit awkward to just drink there unless you're a regular. However, I would definitely like to try their hot coffee when it gets colder. I believe coffee tastes better when someone else makes it for you.

I found "Yanaka Coffee Shop Oyama Store" while exploring the downtown area near Oyama Station. I stopped by because I was thirsty after shopping. When I entered the shop, I was greeted by the pleasant aroma of coffee beans being roasted. This shop only serves drinks, and it is a very small place with only four counter seats. The round chairs suggest a quick drink rather than lingering for a long time like in a cafe.

I usually order the iced coffee as I often visit during hot days. The iced coffee is very rich (it becomes just right as the ice melts, but it's strong if you drink it quickly), so I recommend the iced milk coffee!

A coffee shop located just off Happy Road that sells coffee beans by weight. The recommended roast is on the darker side, which is not my preference, but you can choose the degree of roast so it's convenient. When you walk in, the beans are displayed openly. Some may like the atmosphere, while others may prefer having them in cases. Personally, I think since they're going to roast them anyway, the atmosphere is more important. For my first visit, I got the recommended roast written on each bean and made a purchase. When I tried brewing it at home, it was as mentioned earlier. I think it's fun to try changing the roast to my liking next time. The staff's hospitality is not the best, but they do sometimes brew a little coffee for you while you wait for the roast, which is a plus.

I think "Yanaka" originated from Yanaka in Arakawa Ward, but now there are stores in various locations. I have used multiple stores myself. I remember discovering this Oyama store by chance when I happened to be nearby for work. It's basically a shop that sells ground coffee beans, so the eat-in area is just a bonus. Relaxing surrounded by the aroma of various types of coffee beans is quite nice.
