Located where the "Pongala Curry Otemachi Store" used to be, there is now a curry restaurant called "Royal Coconut Garden." I visited during lunch peak time and was able to be seated smoothly without waiting. The restaurant also has tables outside. They offer modern Indian cuisine with a variety of curry options and sets, including biryani sets. You can choose from around 7 different curry types. I tried the "Mutton Biryani (1350 yen)" and my first impression was that it was a bit small in size. The biryani had a vibrant yellow color and was topped with boiled eggs, cashew nuts, cherry tomatoes, and shredded ginger. The basmati rice wasn't very fluffy, and most of the whole spices were removed before serving, leaving only cloves. The flavor seemed to be tailored for eating with mini curries or other dishes. Despite being a bit pricey for Marunouchi, the quick seating is a plus. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to "Royal Coconut Garden" near the A5 exit of Tokyo Metro Otemachi Station around 12 pm on a weekday by myself. It's an Indian curry restaurant that I was curious about, so I decided to visit for the first time. The interior of the restaurant is very bright, clean, and stylish, with 6 tables for 4 people, 1 table for 2 people, and about 15 tables for 2 people on the terrace. Since there were empty seats inside, I chose a table for 2 people at the back. I decided to try two types of curry, so I ordered the 2 curry set for 1,100 yen including tax. In addition to the two curries, you can choose a salad and naan or rice. I chose naan. You can choose two curries from the following options: Today's curry (spinach and beans on that day), chicken curry, keema curry, vegetable curry, spinach chicken curry, mutton curry, butter chicken mutton curry, and butter chicken curry. I chose mutton curry and butter chicken curry. Soon, a glass of water, a cold towel, and a salad were served. The salad contained fresh cabbage, lettuce, corn, carrots, and sesame dressing, which was delicious. After about 5 minutes, the curries and naan were served. The naan was large and freshly baked, and the mutton curry had a moderate spiciness with tender mutton, while the butter chicken curry was surprisingly sweet but also delicious and easy to eat. The naan disappeared quickly. I noticed that the lady next to me chose the Ladies' Special Set, which seemed to be a great deal. It includes a salad, a choice of two curries, chicken tikka, and dessert for 1,050 yen including tax, which is 50 yen cheaper than the 2 curry set I chose. However, the naan seemed to be smaller in size. I think the Ladies' Special Set offers a good value for women. Payment can be made using various electronic money and credit cards, which was convenient. "Royal Coconut Garden" offers authentic Indian curry that can be enjoyed with naan, and I highly recommend it!

At a lunch spot in the office district, I walked in and was greeted by energetic, Indian-looking male staff members. I ordered the Double Curry Rice Set for 1,050 yen. The spinach chicken and butter chicken had a vivid color contrast. The chicken pieces were large and the curry sauce was mildly spicy and delicious. The butter chicken curry had a rich flavor with a balance of sweetness and spiciness, complemented by the spinach. Both curries had that authentic Indian curry taste. There was plenty of rice and the curry sauce was plentiful, making it a satisfying meal. #TokyoGourmet #TokyoCurry #OtemachiGourmet #OtemachiLunch #OtemachiCurry #RoyalCoconutGarden #LookingToConnectWithFoodies #LookingToConnectWithCurryLovers

I visited for lunch on a regular day. I ordered the Biryani set. The Biryani consisted of one piece of chicken on top of rice. It came with curry and salad. The rice was fluffy and had an Indian flavor. If it's your first time eating here, it might be safer to start with regular Indian curry and naan instead.

I visited the restaurant area on the 1st floor of Otemachi Place West Tower after a long time, and I noticed that the popular curry shop from Osaka, Pongara Curry, had been replaced by a new Indian curry restaurant called Royal Coconut Garden. I was seated at a table on the terrace-like walkway and took my time looking at the menu. The lunch menu offered a variety of options ranging from Dal Curry for 790 yen to Mutton Biryani Set for 1,350 yen, with about 16 different choices. Since there had never been a place to eat Biryani in Otemachi before, I decided to order the Mutton Biryani Set. In about 5-6 minutes, the plate with Mutton Biryani, Raita, and a small curry was brought to me. The Biryani, made with small pieces of mutton cooked with Basmati rice, did not have the traditional layered appearance and was uniformly yellow, indicating it might not have been cooked in the authentic way, but that's understandable for a quick lunch option. The toppings included a soft-boiled egg, cashew nuts, crispy bacon-like meat, and for some reason, mini tomatoes. The small curry was more like a soup curry without any ingredients, so I poured it over the Biryani. I also added the Raita, which had finely chopped vegetables mixed with yogurt, and when eaten together, it was quite delicious. While it may not be authentic Biryani, it's a convenient option for a quick meal near the office, so I might come back occasionally.

I visited for lunch and had the Chicken Biryani set for 1100 yen. The rice was a bit dry with a hint of curry flavor, giving me a strong sense of eating Indian cuisine and making me excited. In addition to that, I tried adding curry sauce, mixing in a yogurt-based sauce, or mixing in a plate of cucumbers and carrots. I thought the portion might be too much, but I ended up enjoying it and finishing it all while having fun.

It became crowded as spring arrived, and even Otemachi Place was packed during lunchtime. I chose this restaurant because it had relatively short waiting lines. I had the mutton biryani for takeout, which was delicious, so this time I decided to try the cheese naan and butter chicken curry set. The restaurant seemed a bit chaotic as it was busy and had few staff members. The operation inside the restaurant seemed a bit confused. The salad that was supposed to come with the set arrived when I was almost done with my main dish, and the drink didn't come until I called for it. The curry and naan were okay, not great. I had recently tried cheese naan at a different restaurant and found it more delicious, so I felt a bit disappointed. Takeout was good, but dining in might be better during less busy times. Thank you for the meal!

I had lentil curry! It had a lot of black beans and a mild spiciness, with a gentle flavor. I initially wanted a spicier curry, but as I continued eating, I started to appreciate the deep flavor.

The curry restaurant had a setting like an open cafe, where you could dine inside or outside. It didn't look very Indian at all, but I realized it was a curry restaurant when I saw an Indian man selling curry bento in front of the store. All the staff were Indian men. I ordered the lentil curry for lunch. Hmm, it was sweet. It wasn't spicy at all, so I added a lot of spices from the table to make it spicy. The naan bread was soft and chewy, unlike the crispy kind I prefer. Well, when you're hungry, maybe soft naan is more filling. This place didn't have receipts; instead, at the cash register, the staff would calculate the total by looking at your face and the table you sat at. Indian people are good at mental math, after all.

Once in a while, it's nice to have biryani! I went with my senior colleague and we both enjoyed our meal. The staff were all Indian and spoke basic Japanese, but they were very friendly and communication was not a problem. We ordered the chicken biryani set which came with salad, mini curry, dessert, and a drink. I chose mango lassi for my drink, which surprisingly wasn't too sweet and had a mature flavor. The chicken biryani was served with a generous portion of chicken pieces, which were tender and delicious. The mini curry was not too spicy and could be enjoyed as a soup or poured over the chicken. I didn't choose the mutton biryani this time, but I'm curious to see what kind of mutton pieces come with it.

I had a delicious biryani lunch. It can get a bit crowded during lunchtime, but I was able to get in without much waiting. I was surprised to find a whole piece of meat in the biryani, and it was not too spicy and easy to eat. The restaurant was not very spacious, with narrow tables. It was a place easy for even one person to dine in.

Curry rice set for 850 yen. It was neither good nor bad, but if I had to say something, the boiled egg in the curry was cold. On the other hand, the white rice had large grains and a slightly firm texture, which was nice.

I tried the Indian biryani for takeout. I had the mutton biryani for 1300 yen. I thought it was a bit expensive, but it came with a flavorful curry soup and salad, so it was within an acceptable range. The biryani was warm, fluffy, and had a gentle flavor. There were large cuts of mutton in it, which made it satisfying. It also had sliced boiled eggs, so I didn't get tired of eating it. Thank you for the meal!
