I remembered a different store near the university and felt nostalgic visiting it. They serve a light tonkotsu soup with thin noodles. There's nothing particularly outstanding about it, but it's a taste that I feel like eating regularly. The all-you-can-eat pickled ginger is also appreciated by those who love pickled ginger. I will definitely come back again.

I hadn't eaten for a long time, so I was completely starving. It's been so long! Here, you buy a meal ticket from a vending machine. Because of the new 500 yen coin, it couldn't be accepted, so I went inside and exchanged it with the staff, finally purchased it, and entered the restaurant. Of course, I loudly said "extra firm noodles!" and forgot that the water was self-service, so I hurried to get water and sat down. When I sat back down, the water was already placed on the counter. I like pickled ginger, but I don't usually put it in my ramen. I sprinkled some sesame and pepper on the soup first. Mmm, it's delicious. Then, I quickly finished the whole bowl. Extra firm noodles after a long time, so delicious!

The perfect way to end a business trip in Umeda is with a meal at Shikarashika! The taste brings me back to my student days. Although I know I shouldn't, I always end up getting a refill after finishing 70% of the bowl. Thank you for the consistently delicious ramen! I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

After finishing a tough job, I went for a drink with Y-chan in Umeda. We couldn't agree on where to go, so he went to Juso while I went to Ohatsu Tenjin. I bought my meal ticket at the ticket machine in front of the shop. Today, I added a boiled egg as a topping. The ramen costs 750 yen, plus 50 yen for the boiled egg. The rich pork bone soup was delicious, and the generous amount of pickled ginger was a nice touch. Thank you for the meal! Address: 2-11-2 Sonezaki, Kita-ku, Osaka City. Phone: 06-6311-3523. Open from 11:00 to 03:00, closed on Sundays. Feel free to follow me on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter. Your clicks on the blog ranking are greatly appreciated! Thank you for your continued support.

Shekarashika is a ramen shop specializing in tonkotsu ramen. The main store is located in front of Hankyu Nishinomiya Station in Takarazuka City, but I often visit the Umeda store. I usually stop by for a bowl of ramen after drinking in Osaka, and I feel like it has become even more delicious recently. (Is it just my imagination? Or did the chef change?) The ramen emits a strong tonkotsu aroma, but the taste of the soup itself is pure. It's a tonkotsu soup with a clear and clean flavor. It's the kind of ramen you crave after drinking. Thank you for the meal.

I couldn't find authentic Nagahama ramen in the center of Osaka, but this place is pretty close. The ramen arrived soon after ordering. I ordered it extra firm, so it was served quickly. The chashu was more like simmered pork belly, very tender and almost "drinkable". It was quite fatty and salty. In other words, the noodles, chashu, fat, and saltiness all had a sharp taste, with strong individual characteristics. Finally, I was able to find a true Nagahama ramen in Osaka.

The Char Siu Ramen for 950 yen is expensive. It's pricey for a tonkotsu ramen. Comparing it to the authentic Hakata style is one thing, but recently tonkotsu ramen has become expensive. The taste is delicious, though. It's definitely tasty. But for this price, I'd rather eat other ramen.

Located in the Ohatsu Tenjin area, this Umeda branch of Nishinomiya's tonkotsu ramen offers all-day service, which is convenient. The noodles are ordered firm and the creamy tonkotsu soup is quite salty but rich and satisfying, with deliciously tender chashu.

It's a Kurume-style ramen, with a strong pork bone soup that packs a punch. The smell inside the restaurant is unmistakably authentic. The soup is not too thick but has a strong salty flavor, with a hint of fatty richness that really brings out the pork bone taste. The strong salty flavor leaves a lasting impression after you finish the bowl. The fact that the ramen is also reasonably priced is a bonus. If you're looking for a hearty pork bone ramen, this place comes highly recommended.

After a drinking party that ended past 11 PM, feeling a bit hungry, I decided to have ramen by myself before heading home. As I walked, I came across a bustling restaurant even late at night. The yellow sign of the tonkotsu ramen shop "Shiokarashika" called out to me. I decided to eat here. I purchased a ramen ticket from the vending machine and entered the shop. "Welcome, please sit at the counter over there," the staff guided me to my seat where I handed over my ticket. "How firm would you like the noodles?" Oh right, in Hakata ramen, you can request the firmness of the noodles. I always forget. "Ah, firm please." "Alright, firm it is," order completed. Looking at the wall, there was a notice about the firmness of the noodles. "Please choose the firmness of the noodles from very firm, firm, normal. The firmest we have is very firm." I see, they don't offer options like "extra firm" or "hard." Good thing I didn't try to act cool and ask for "extra firm." 5 minutes later, the ramen was served. Wow, it looks rich. This is perfect for a satisfying end to a night of drinking. Normally, I would avoid rich, fatty ramen for health reasons, but when drunk, my instincts take over and crave it (laughs). First, I took a sip of the soup. Mmm, the rich soup is amazing. Delicious! To fully enjoy this soup, I feel like I need rice. Oops, my instincts are making my rationality struggle again. I managed to resist ordering rice. Slurping the noodles, they are so good! The thin noodles coated in the rich soup are endlessly enjoyable. The thinly sliced pork char siu is tender and melts in the mouth. I like this too. Although I'm not trying to speed-eat, I finished in 6 minutes. And I even finished the soup. But finishing the soup was probably too much. I'll regret it when I sober up tomorrow. Well, if I already knew that, I should have applied the brakes of rationality. Lesson learned. But the satisfaction is beyond words. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Today's lunch was at Sekaikan in Umeda after a long time. It had been a while, so I decided to go all out with the rich char siu ramen, extra garlic on the side, and the noodles cooked al dente. The dish arrived in just 30 seconds. First, I tasted the soup, which had an irresistible pork bone aroma and was delicious. The soup seemed a bit oilier today, but the char siu added richness to it. The noodles had a firm texture and a satisfying bite. I enjoyed eating the mushrooms and other toppings with the noodles, and before I knew it, I had finished the dish. I ordered an extra serving of noodles cooked very firm and added garlic to change up the flavor. I finished it in no time. I usually get another extra serving of noodles, but I resisted this time due to the richness. I savored the soup, enjoyed the pork bone aroma, and left feeling satisfied. I definitely want to visit again soon!

This time, I visited the Umeda branch of the famous ramen shop "Shakariki Umeda" in the Umeda Ohatsu Tenjin Shotengai. After grabbing a quick drink at Osaka Station Building, I decided to stop by for the first time in a while. The aroma inside the shop was wonderful. I purchased a ramen and extra green onions using a food ticket, then took a seat. I ordered the noodles to be firm, and soon my bowl arrived. The pork bone soup coated the noodles perfectly, and it was delicious. I added pickled ginger, sesame seeds, and other toppings to change up the flavor as I ate, and before I knew it, I had finished every last bit. It was truly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

To Shikaraka-san after a long time...! This rich soup that I always crave after drinking! The thin noodles slide in smoothly, it's a mystery. Ramen costs 750 yen, garlic is 50 yen... I like that you can freely add sesame and pickled ginger as toppings! Thank you for the meal!

Returning to Osaka after work, I had dinner on my way home from overtime. I remembered that there were few restaurants suitable for solo diners on Ofunagami Street and Higashi Street Shopping Street. In the midst of that, Shokarashika was still open for business as usual. It's not a big restaurant, but it has a consistent presence. I ordered the noodles firm, and the tonkotsu ramen was served quickly, which was nice. I satisfied my tired brain and stomach with a carb festival of rice and extra noodles. The soup seemed mellower and more flavorful than before. I enjoyed a different taste with extra noodles, extra pickled ginger, and plenty of ground sesame.

Visited this shop on a weekday night. After having some drinks, I felt like eating ramen and came to this shop in Omiya Tenjin. Ramen 750 yen, Draft beer 500 yen. First, they served me a Premium Malt beer. It came in a large glass with plenty of foam. The beer was smooth and enjoyable. Soon after, the ramen arrived. The soup had a slight thickness to it and was rich in flavor. The noodles were thin and had a firm texture. It was a delicious combination that really hit the spot after drinking. There were sesame seeds and pickled ginger on the table. I debated getting an extra serving of noodles, but I resisted. After finishing the meal, I noticed some concentrated pork bone essence settled at the bottom of the bowl.

Located on the approach to the Ochūtenjin Shrine, this tonkotsu ramen shop has a Foodlog rating of 3.58 and is open from noon until 3 am. I purchased a ramen ticket for 750 yen from the ticket machine. The interior of the shop is long and narrow with only a counter. As soon as I sat down, the smell of the pork bone broth started wafting from the kitchen in front of me. Hmm, it's already a bit strong. I indicated my preferred firmness of noodles and after a while, my bowl was served. The toppings included green onions, wood ear mushrooms, and thinly sliced chashu. By the way, pickled mustard greens are available as an extra option. The soup is definitely pork bone-based, but it has a soy sauce flavor more than the typical tonkotsu ramen. Maybe it's because of the smell, but it feels rich. The noodles are the usual thin straight noodles found in Hakata ramen. I ordered them to be normal firmness, but they turned out al dente, with a chewy texture that provides some resistance. It's been a while since I had tonkotsu ramen, but for me, the aroma was a bit too overpowering. I ended up using the free pickled ginger to escape. But I guess it suits some people just fine, maybe I'm just not experienced enough. Thank you for the meal.

Who's the robot!? Oh no, it's only been about January and I'm already forgetting the details. But before I forget, let me say this. The Hakata Ramen here is delicious. Among all the things I've eaten on this trip, this was the most impressive. The soup here is hard to describe, but it's a bit different from the typical Hakata or Nagahama style. It has a scent that elevates the pork bone aroma and a slightly sweet base sauce with a bit of a kick. It feels like they've captured the best parts of the Nagahama style soup and added a little extra on top...maybe? I should have been here a long time ago, but I was surprised by how delicious it was. By the way, after hanging out at a wine bar in Temma yesterday and taking the train all the way here to eat ramen, then going back to the hotel in Temma, I don't remember how I got back (not now, but the next day). Actually, I had a similar memory loss incident yesterday, but the same ability seems to be at play even when traveling, so maybe I'm morphing into a robot with that function rather than a homing instinct.

When it comes to tonkotsu ramen, this is the place! I had a sudden craving for tonkotsu ramen and came here! I often visit the Incheon main store and the Uozaki store, and I think this is the best, including the authentic Hakata style, but the broth here is truly outstanding with a strong (in a good way) animal smell! The broth here is a bit lighter, and it doesn't quite match the exquisite taste of the main store, but it's still delicious. ^_^

When feeling a decrease in physical strength, you may crave garlic, and when your body is tired, you may crave spices. The desire for food can change daily depending on your condition. At this shop, you can purchase meal tickets at the ticket machine near the entrance, making it easy to order ramen, char siu ramen, extra toppings, and rice. The interior of the shop is quiet, as talking is not allowed to purely enjoy the ramen. The char siu ramen with garlic topping is recommended. The thin noodles can be enjoyed at any firmness level. The rich and creamy pork bone soup is not smelly but rather sweet and flavorful. The char siu melts in the soup and the freshly ground sesame seeds on the table add a nice aroma. The garlic topping goes well with the pork bone soup. Thank you for reading until the end. Your likes, saves, and follows are encouraging. Please check out my Instagram @ginjirou.star too. Thank you!

During a long holiday, I visited a ramen shop around 2:00 am and it was almost full. I bought a meal ticket outside and entered the shop. It was crowded with drunk people and what seemed like hostesses from nearby clubs. The tonkotsu ramen, priced at ¥750, was a bit salty but perfect for late-night cravings. It was so delicious! The flavor was tailored to suit late-night customers, which explains its popularity. I definitely want to go back again.
