My wife and I revisited our favorite restaurant together♪ The chef remembered us from our second visit, and we found out for the first time that the restaurant was listed in the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand from 2016 to 2020 on that day♪ We were thrilled♪ Let's start with some delicious sake(*^▽^*)♪ [Drinks] - Chilled sake from Shiga Prefecture, Matsunotsukasa: Very delicious(^q^)♪♪♪ - Sparkling chilled sake from Gifu Prefecture, Reisen: A sophisticated bitter taste. Not suitable for our taste buds(涙) [Food] - Potato salad: Tasty and beautifully presented♪ - Sashimi assortment: Flawlessly delicious☆ミ - Firefly squid with vinegar miso: Delicious and great value for the amount☆ミ - Wagyu beef tataki: I loved it, but my wife found it too rare for her liking. - Grilled eel liver: I enjoyed the taste, but my wife didn't like the texture. - White asparagus tempura: Delicious(^q^)♪♪♪ - Oysters with ponzu sauce: Delicious☆ミ - Mini sea urchin bowl: My favorite(^q^)♪♪♪ - Cold Hada somen noodles: My second favorite(^q^)♪♪♪ Overall, this is our favorite restaurant, and we will continue to revisit it many times in the future(*^O^*)♪ Thank you for the delicious meal(^.^)(-.-)(__)ペコリ

I had a 5500 yen course meal. The sashimi platter was diverse and satisfying. Then, I had crab miso croquettes, grilled yellowtail, and more, all served at a good pace and portion. The chef and the hostess were both friendly, making it a comfortable first-time experience.

Located at the intersection inside the shopping street. The cozy interior with just a counter is welcoming. We opted for the course menu even though it seems like they mainly offer à la carte dishes. The menu mainly consists of seafood dishes, and we were satisfied with the careful preparation of each dish. The warmth of the owners added to the overall experience.

I went to Susa in Tanamachi Rokuchome. This is my second time here, and every time I come, I can't help but notice how carefully each dish is prepared. They are all so delicious. Lately, as I've gotten older, I don't eat sashimi as much, but the sashimi I had when I first came here was so delicious that I ordered it again this time. It was even better than last time, surpassing my expectations. I also ordered other dishes besides the sashimi, but everything, from the drinks to the food, was delicious. I forgot to take pictures of the dishes because I was too busy enjoying the food and drinks, so please forgive me for only having pictures of the drinks at the beginning (laughs).

The other day, I happened to come across this place while looking for a bar in the neighborhood, but unfortunately, the sign said it was closed two days ago. I really wanted to drink there, so I managed to enter. I originally wanted to order a course meal, but since I couldn't make a reservation until the day before, I ended up ordering a la carte and was seated at the counter. I started with a Heartland draft beer. For food, I ordered a sashimi platter for 2,000 yen and small sweetfish tempura for 1,200 yen. Then, a great appetizer appeared, with sweet egg omelet and bonito sushi that I wanted to enjoy with sake. Soon after, a beautiful sashimi platter with 9 different types arrived. The plump and fresh sweetfish had a slight bitterness that complemented the sake perfectly. I quickly switched to drinking Dassai Junmai Daiginjo sake, which was a heavenly experience. For the main dish, I requested beef tataki. The sweet fat and high-quality meat were outstanding, especially when paired with the fresh lemon from Kimiya. That day, all the customers happened to be related to Wakayama, which made for a lively atmosphere. Surprisingly, the bill came out to only 8,800 yen, which was a pleasant surprise. The palate cleanser of Pino at the end was a delightful way to end the night at Susa.

I felt like having a light meal, so I searched for an izakaya to go to. I knew about this place before, but it was my first time coming here! It's a restaurant that has won the Bib Gourmand, so I have high expectations. The inside of the restaurant has an L-shaped counter seat, and it was full! Reservations are a must. They only offer courses by reservation, so I ordered a la carte. I had the tsukudani (looks like squid but it's pickled cabbage), sashimi, dotenabe (which was incredibly delicious), and tempura asparagus in miso. The food was carefully prepared and all of it was delicious. It's more like a high-class Japanese restaurant than an izakaya! I'll try the course menu next time. I will definitely be coming back!

While walking around looking for dinner with a friend, we stumbled upon a restaurant with an open seat and decided to eat there. The menu was written on paper, but they also had a variety of other dishes available. We started with a nice appetizer with three different dishes. The sashimi platter had a good selection and the slices were thick and delicious. The restaurant only had counter seats and seemed to be run by one person. It was a casual and enjoyable meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

【Susa】◆【6-minute walk from Tanimachi Rokuchome Station on the Tanimachi Line】 ◆A seafood izakaya that won the Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide 2019! The sashimi assortment was satisfying and the grilled fish was cooked to perfection. They truly live up to their name as a seafood izakaya. It was truly remarkable.

Located in a small alley off the Sora-bori shopping street in Yamanochi 6-chome, this restaurant has been selected as a Bib Gourmand. With only 8 counter seats, it is a small establishment that requires reservations. While they offer courses, this time we decided to order a la carte. We started with drinks, opting for sake as it perfectly matched the atmosphere. The first bottle was Ura Kasumi from Miyagi prefecture, followed by Mori from Fukui prefecture. The appetizer was daikon with a gentle dashi broth and a hint of yuzu flavor, accompanied by grated tororo kelp, creating a wonderful combination. Moving on to the delicious dishes, the must-order sashimi of the day was incredibly fresh. My husband, who has experience in the fish industry, praised the quality. The grilled white eel was cooked to perfection, served with freshly grated wasabi. The crispy deep-fried flying fish shrimp was another highlight, seasoned with a sprinkle of salt to enhance the natural flavor. The creamy croquette made with crab miso was a delight for a crab miso lover like me. The friendly chef's creations, along with the sake, left my husband thoroughly satisfied. We will definitely be returning for more of these delicious Japanese dishes.

I used to feel sick after eating fish at other izakayas, so I avoided eating fish at izakayas. But the fish here is all fresh and delicious, so I can eat it. It's definitely using fresh ingredients because it's so delicious!

Bib Gourmand restaurant! The fish was delicious ❤️ The delicious dishes and the chef were very friendly, and the sake went down smoothly. We had a great time, got pretty drunk, but the price was reasonable, and it was a very good restaurant. I will definitely go again!

It's been about 8 years since I last visited this place. Back then, I used to live in this neighborhood and frequented this restaurant often. It's a small place in the old town of Tanimachi, with no signboard, just a small light at the entrance. The atmosphere may seem intimidating, but the place is actually very welcoming. The chef, who used to work at a fish market, serves delicious fish dishes. Although the chef may not have a friendly face, he is kind, polite, and occasionally makes witty comments. We ordered a sashimi platter for 2000 yen for two people, and it was of high quality. The seasonal and fresh flavors were evident in every bite. The bonito sashimi with plenty of ginger melted in my mouth instantly. The swordfish was sweet and crunchy. The flounder was incredibly delicious. The shrimp was boiled to perfection, tender and sweet. The octopus was cooked just right, with a delicate texture. The seared mackerel was thick and flavorful, with a nice smoky aroma. The grilled barracuda was rich in umami flavor. The appetizers were also delightful, especially the boiled edamame and simmered eggplant. We enjoyed several cups of sake, expertly recommended by the chef. We also ordered a dried sea bream, which paired perfectly with the sake. Overall, we had a great dining experience with delicious food, good sake, and a pleasant atmosphere. I would love to visit this place again when I return to Osaka. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Went to Susa with a friend who loves fish. Started with a Heartland beer, followed by sashimi, grilled dishes, fried sweetfish, steak, and the optional cream croquettes with crab miso - they were amazing! Finished with a marinated rice bowl. The sake was from Mie, with Zaku and Jikon brands. The background music was 80s Western rock, which was nostalgic. This restaurant is even listed in the Michelin Guide.

The sashimi, agedashi tofu, simmered fish, simmered dish, tempura, meat, and even ochazuke for the finale were all served, along with drinks, and I was pleasantly surprised by the great cost performance. The seasoning of the dishes was slightly stronger to complement the alcohol, but still within a delicious range, so I was satisfied. I visited this time for a course meal, but I noticed they also offer a la carte, so next time I want to try dishes that caught my eye on the menu.

I visited the restaurant "Susa" in Tanimachi Rokuchome that I had been curious about for a while. This restaurant has been selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand. [Received dishes] - Potato salad - Firefly squid tempura - Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) - Grilled eel with liver sauce - Crab miso cream croquette - Shiitake mushroom with mayonnaise and cheese - Draft beer - Grapefruit chu-hai - Chilled sake: Shiga Kirakucho All dishes were delicious, especially the potato salad and the crab miso cream croquette were outstanding. I would like to visit again and try more dishes. Total cost was 5,600 yen.

[Visit Date] Dinner on 4/7/2017 [Order] Various dishes a la carte and several cups of sake On this day, I went to this restaurant in Matsuyamachi with a successful senior colleague from work. This place has been selected for the Bib Gourmand. We ordered various dishes a la carte. The sashimi was so-so, but the fried nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) and the shrimp tempura were delicious. The atmosphere was like a hidden gem, and the chef was an interesting person. Thank you for the meal.

I tried a restaurant recommended by a friend, and it had a counter-only atmosphere with a traditional Japanese cuisine style. The drinks were priced like an izakaya, with bottled beer being quite cheap. They are generous with the amount of sake they pour. The food consisted mostly of classic Japanese dishes like assorted sashimi, potato salad, and salt-grilled red sea bream collar. The appetizer was taro and sardines, with a rich flavor. The potato salad was delicious, especially the egg. The red sea bream had a gentle flavor and didn't need soy sauce. While it had a traditional Japanese dining atmosphere, it felt more like an izakaya. The total bill came to 5400 yen for the meal. They also accept reservations for parties and gatherings.

We went to Susa for a farewell party for a friend who was transferring. It's a small shop located a little off the Kuhori shopping street, but the interior is clean and has a great atmosphere. We ordered a sashimi platter and it was incredibly delicious. Everything we ordered was so tasty. The sushi on a stick at the end was the best. The staff even saw us off when we left, making us feel really special. We promised to go back again because the food, atmosphere, and value were all top-notch.

This is a restaurant where the fish is delicious. The sashimi is very tasty, and they also serve grilled fish and liver sandwiches, which are elaborate. The crab miso croquettes were also rich and delicious.
