I often visit Dashi Chazuke En Yurakucho alone when I want to eat a quick meal. This time, I went to this place. First, I purchased a meal ticket. The ticket machine only accepted cash, not cashless payments. However, at the takeaway counter, cashless payments were accepted. After a few minutes of sitting down, my tray arrived. The rice was free and you could have a large portion if you wanted (I chose regular size). I had the Kamaage Shirasu and Nanko Ume dish for 800 yen. The plum added a nice touch to the dish. It tasted even better when I mixed the Nanko Ume with the rice. The broth also had a good flavor. It was a delicious meal.

They can also warm up the bento boxes for takeout and you can eat in. The onigiri rice balls are interesting with different variations, such as with flaked fish or mixed with pickled vegetables. Despite containing a variety of items in a compact size, they are low in calories, making them a great ally for dieting.

I ordered the fisherman-style marinated tuna. After buying the food ticket, I handed it to the staff, but the staff seemed a bit grumpy. The food was served shortly after I sat down. At first, I ate it as it was, and then I poured the broth over it. The broth was good and the taste was delicious, but I quickly finished eating and left.

I wanted to eat something light, so I decided to visit this place. My main target was the Sea Bream Dashi Chazuke (1,000 yen), but last time I visited, it was sold out because I arrived a bit late. This time, I wanted to give it another try. I checked the opening hours on the website beforehand and it said they open at 10:00 on weekends and holidays, so I aimed to arrive at that time. When I got to the restaurant at 10:00, the shutter was still closed. I called the restaurant and found out they actually open at 11:00. Although the mall's website said 10:00, the notice board inside mentioned 11:00. I had no choice but to wait for an hour by wandering around the mall or playing with my phone. When it finally turned 11:00 and the restaurant opened, there was already a couple waiting in front of the menu board. I went to the ticket machine and selected the Sea Bream Dashi Chazuke (1,000 yen) in a large portion. The ticket machine only accepted cash, so if you wanted to pay with a cashless method, you had to place your order at the counter. After completing the payment at the ticket machine, I entered the restaurant. I sat at the counter seat in the back and my order was served in just 2 minutes. Despite ordering a large portion, the amount of rice was not that much. The side dishes were tofu and kinpira. I started by eating a piece of sea bream with rice without pouring the dashi broth. The well-seasoned sea bream was delicious with a nice texture. Then, I finally tried the Sea Bream Dashi Chazuke. I put all the sea bream on the rice and poured plenty of dashi broth over it. The broth was so flavorful that I felt like drinking it alone. The combination of the well-seasoned sea bream and the broth was very tasty. I kept adding more broth as I ate and finished the meal quickly. The portion was not big, but it was not a heavy meal either. It was a very gentle meal for my stomach, especially after drinking too much during the Golden Week holiday.

The company B・Y・O, which operates "Dashi Chazuke En," has nearly 20 different brands, all based on Japanese cuisine. While "Dashi Chazuke En" mainly focuses on tea-infused rice, they also offer dishes like meat udon. The brands "Niku Dofu/Niku Udon En" and "O Dashi Udon Kakaya" seem to share similar expertise and flavors. I decided to quickly grab a meal there when I was short on time. I realized that I had tried chazuke before but never udon, so I chose the meat udon for 780 yen from the ticket machine. I handed the ticket to the staff and found a seat. The meal was served promptly. The aroma of bonito flakes brought a comforting feeling. The udon noodles were slightly flat, about 5mm wide, with a good texture and elasticity. The meat was tender and not too fatty, cooked perfectly. The generous amount of green onions was fresh. The meal was not overpowering, and I finished it quickly. Personally, I would have liked some sansho pepper. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Although I enjoy ramen and Chinese food, there is something appealing about chazuke and rice bowls. The restaurant seems to cater more towards women, with brands like "Cheese Curry O Dashi Udon EN." I hope they expand to the Kanto region soon. Thank you for the meal.

I was wandering around wondering what to eat for lunch when I stumbled upon this place. When someone mentions a udon shop, it piques your interest, right? So I ordered the udon and onigiri set. The broth was just right! I'm not usually one to order meat udon, but the seasoning on the meat was just perfect and suited my taste very well. It wasn't too sweet, just right. The ochazuke was also delicious, but I think the udon is definitely worth a try!

I didn't have much time that day, so I quickly stopped by here. It's been about 30 years since I last went to a tea pickles shop in Shibuya. I don't remember exactly what I ordered, but I think it was a tea pickles with minced fish and vegetables. After waiting in a cramped seat for a while, a very healthy dish arrived! It had a lot of vegetables and looked very good for the body. I felt like I became healthier after eating it! However, it was light and easy to digest, so I got hungry again in the evening. Also, the counter seats were too narrow... There was no distance at all between me and the person next to me. I understand they need to make a profit, but I wish they had more space. Maybe it's the company's policy... Anyway, I enjoyed it!

When you're short on time, tea-soaked rice is a lifesaver. The main counter seats in the store are partitioned for infection prevention. Orders are placed using a ticket machine. In addition to tea-soaked rice for dining in, they also sell bento boxes and rice balls. The menu includes seasonal and special items. I was drawn to the seasonal menu featuring mackerel and olive tea-soaked rice priced at 860 yen. It was served quickly, accompanied by three side dishes: pickles, sautéed vegetables, and tofu with sesame sauce. The sesame sauce, likely the same as that used in sea bream tea-soaked rice, was rich and flavorful. The mackerel was fatty and had a smooth texture that paired well with the rice. It was coated in a savory soy-based sauce that didn't dilute the flavor. Despite the slightly modest portion, it was satisfying and delicious. I finished it in 10 minutes, savoring every bite. The broth was also tasty. Overall, it's a great option for when you're in a hurry.

Sea bream dashi chazuke with chicken karaage = ¥1,130. The counter seats are great because you don't have to face anyone directly, so you can enjoy your meal in peace. They even provide baskets for your belongings. I ordered the popular sea bream dashi with regular rice, and the salt karaage was the perfect size for a topping. It felt gentle on my body and was just the right amount before getting full.

On my way back from a day at Lalaport on my day off, I found a rice ball shop in the subway passage and got one with plum filling. The rice was cooked a bit firm, but when chewed slowly, the high-quality rice had a very sweet taste. The plum had no seeds, only fruit pulp, and its slightly sour taste blended well with the sweetness of the high-quality rice. It's different from convenience store rice balls. This shop seems to be famous for its ochazuke. Next time, I'll have a cup of tea before trying the ochazuke.

I bought a bento box for dinner at the Lalaport Toyosu. This shop is known for its ochazuke (tea poured over rice) but they also offer bento boxes. They have a variety of rice, salmon, and kombu toppings, so you can make a delicious bento box. I enjoyed it very much.

This is a shop located on the basement floor of Lalaport Toyosu 3. Among the various onigiri options, I chose one with crunchy Nozawana pickles. The taste is subtle, but I believe it is meant to highlight the deliciousness of the rice. It was an onigiri where the rice was the star of the show.

This is a tea pickles shop, but they also have a variety of onigiri and bento boxes. I bought the mackerel bento box to take home. It had a refined taste and was delicious, but the portion size was small. I think it's perfect for a light lunch or dinner. The onigiri looked delicious as well.
