"The 'Super High-End Reservation-Difficult All-Horse Simultaneous Gate-In Omakase Sushi Restaurant' (by O Master) seems to be getting a bit boring lately. Instead, there is a delicious sushi restaurant where you can freely order your favorite sushi toppings or nigiri. There is also an omakase option, but next to the menu, the prices of each topping are written, which is a rare thing to see in a high-end sushi restaurant. Furthermore, the sushi is delicious. Today is Sunday, and after reading a sushi lecture by O Master on Tabelog, I couldn't resist the craving for sushi.
The lesson by O Master today included:
- Sushi restaurants originally started as food stalls. It's best to eat quickly and leave, enjoying your favorite dishes and then heading home.
- Nigiri sushi is delicious even without dipping it in nikiri (a soy sauce used in sushi restaurants). The combination of fresh toppings and vinegared rice is tasty enough.
- A discussion of the history of the Kanda Tsuru◯i school and the considerations of omakase from the Sukiyabashi ◯ro school. Lately, I've also been getting tired of omakase. I want to eat my favorite dishes whenever I want.
When I mentioned going out for lunch to my wife today, she said she couldn't go because she was making strawberry candy with the kids. So, she set me free to have lunch by myself! A day of unlimited freedom! Well, not really. So, I searched for a lunch spot and decided to visit this place that I had been eyeing for a while.
I called on the same day and found out that there was one seat available for lunch at this famous restaurant in Yoyogi-Uehara, where meals cost over 100,000 yen per person. It's located right next to the top-notch restaurant ete in the same building. Since it was a Sunday, I was served some squid as a snack with my beer. I ordered a delicious flounder appetizer and then enjoyed some nigiri sushi.
The master, Mr. Mori, has been running a sushi restaurant for four generations, starting with his great-grandfather. It's amazing that they have been in business for over 100 years. They have been in Yoyogi-Uehara for seven years now, with nine reviews and an average rating of 3.06. But that's not really relevant. The food is delicious, and the restaurant is ethical and a great place.
The sardines, mackerel, gizzard shad, conger eel, and flounder appetizer were all delicious. The take-out customers were also quite busy, coming in and out frequently. The locals in Yoyogi-Uehara seem to know this restaurant well, but I am still a newcomer. The flyers are famous, and even I knew about them. I would like to try their take-out service next time. I will definitely come back! It's always great to discover good restaurants. My thoughts are in the photos."
