On the way back from Haneda Airport, I decided to look for a revolving sushi restaurant! The one near the airport had a long line, so I thought it would be better to try one away from the residential area! I was grateful to find a seat again. Sushi is always a good choice! Even though it's only been a week, I already miss it! The taste is consistently delicious and the best!

I came to the restaurant on a regular night and had about 7 plates of the 3-piece set, which cost around 3000 yen. The horse mackerel was the most delicious, so I wanted to order more, but it was already sold out... so sad. The miso soup was served in a huge cup, like a pirate's goblet, haha. It wasn't exceptionally tasty, but it felt like a regular revolving sushi restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Fish Market Sushi on Fishmonger Street is considered to be of a higher level among conveyor belt sushi restaurants. The seasonal limited fresh firefly squid gunkan sushi was a bit disappointing with the eyes still intact, I wish they would remove them. The medium fatty tuna nigiri at Fish Market Sushi is delicious. The tuna is thick and tasty as expected. The weekday limited set of chawanmushi and fish broth is quite satisfying with a generous amount of ingredients in the chawanmushi and a luxurious amount of fish in the broth, including red snapper bones. The squid tempura is piping hot with a thin batter, truly exquisite. The freshly made dashimaki tamago is served hot from the steamer. I had high hopes for the live scallop priced at 560 yen, but the topping was quite thin, which was disappointing.

On April 2, 2023, I visited a revolving sushi restaurant near Hata no Tai called "魚屋路" (read as "ととやみち") for the first time by myself. The exterior looked like a family restaurant, and upon entering the restaurant on the second floor via stairs, it had the typical look of a revolving sushi place. I arrived around 2:30 pm expecting it to be crowded, but it was not. The seats and the conveyor belt were quite empty but moving. The prices ranged from 132 yen to 616 yen for sushi, and 231 yen to 759 yen for special dishes. I ordered the "Seasonal Colors Spring Recommended Three Nigiri" (660 yen), which included various sushi pieces. The rice was somewhat lukewarm, and the highlights were the fresh firefly squid, large natural shrimp, and cherry salmon. I also tried the grilled sazae shellfish, crab miso battleship sushi, horse mackerel, squid ring tempura, simmered conger eel, and live conger eel. The tempura squid rings were surprisingly the most delicious. I also had a lemon sour and a whiskey highball. The craftsmanship of the sushi chefs was commendable, but overall, the quality and value for money were average. The restaurant was not outstanding in any particular way. By the time I left, the conveyor belt had completely stopped, and it felt a bit lonely. While I might visit if it was conveniently located on my commute route, I wouldn't make a special trip for it. The competition among mid-sized chain revolving sushi restaurants seems tough, as larger chains have been improving their quality. It will be crucial for these restaurants to offer unique services, products, events, or collaborations to stand out.

I suddenly had a strong craving for sake with the head of a crab stick salad battleship, so I went to a revolving sushi restaurant alone. Sometimes I get this stupid craving for alcohol! The fried potatoes at the fish market road, sprinkled with a mysterious truffle-flavored powder like Happy Turn, have a unique taste that I really like.

The nearest station is Nagahara or Hatanodai, about a 7-minute walk away. It faces the main road and has a surprisingly spacious parking lot, making it convenient. I ordered 2 cans of lean tuna and 1 can of fatty tuna, which cost around 1500 yen in total. I wasn't expecting much, but the quality was good and the prices were reasonable. You order using a tablet and help yourself to miso soup and water to keep costs down. It may be more affordable than the famous ○dori Sushi. It's truly a well-established chain.

I was surprised by the excellent service at the first visit to "Uoya Michi" for lunch. The staff brought me a teacup, plate, and chopsticks, and informed me that miso soup is all-you-can-drink! They offer a "tuna tasting" where you can compare different types of tuna like scallop, mackerel, and negitoro by ordering through a touch panel at the counter. The sushi is delicious and just the right amount. Highly recommended!

It's a bit expensive for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but the sushi is made by a chef right in front of you. Today, almost all dishes were handed directly by the chef instead of being taken from the conveyor belt. I always come here when I want to treat myself to a little luxury.

I visited the revolving sushi restaurant "Uoya Michi" near the intersection of Nagahara Street and Circular Route 7. They offer seasonal limited menu items using fresh ingredients, creative sushi, as well as tempura, sashimi, salads, and other side dishes. Intrigued by a newspaper insert advertising their summer recommended selection of carefully selected ingredients, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Summer Recommended Five-Piece Nigiri Set for 1140 yen plus tax, which included: bluefin tuna medium fatty, live wild yellowtail, natural botan shrimp, eel, and sea urchin gunkan. I also ordered live wild conger eel nigiri with plum for 420 yen plus tax, red shrimp for 120 yen plus tax, small capelin gunkan for 160 yen plus tax, north scallop for 480 yen plus tax, dried gourd roll for 120 yen plus tax, and eel for 360 yen plus tax. They offer complimentary miso soup on weekdays. The sushi rice was automated and the quality, quantity, and size of the toppings were not very satisfying compared to other revolving sushi restaurants.

Located near the intersection of Nagahara Street and Circular Route 7, "Uoya Michi" is a revolving sushi restaurant belonging to the Skylark Group. During lunchtime, I ordered the recommended summer five-piece nigiri set for 1140 yen plus tax. The set included: medium fatty bluefin tuna, live yellowtail, natural botan shrimp, eel, and sea urchin gunkan. I also ordered a live conger eel nigiri with plum for 420 yen plus tax. I visited this restaurant for the first time after being attracted by a newspaper ad, but both the toppings and the sushi rice were mediocre.

Once again, I used a Sukiya coupon to dine out. It's oyster season, and I indulged in autumn salmon, Hokkaido fair dishes, and a single eel sushi that I had been wanting to try. We ended up spending over 5000 yen for the two of us, which is quite expensive for us. We went for lunch on a Sunday, and when we arrived just before noon, we were able to get seats at the counter without any issues. Back when I lived in Urayasu City, restaurants like Hamazushi and Choshi Maru would always have long lines if you didn't arrive before they opened, but this place wasn't as crowded. I hope they continue to do well. There were also customers waiting for takeout orders. Overall, the food was delicious. However, even when I chose wasabi, I couldn't really taste it. It would be great if they could provide additional wasabi on the side. Thank you for the meal.

I was looking at a friend's conveyor belt sushi post and suddenly felt like eating some junky conveyor belt sushi, so I visited a nearby restaurant for the first time! I sat alone at the counter with dividers on both sides!! Amazing. They really enforce social distancing. Thanks to that, I was able to eat without worrying about others watching me. However, I wasn't feeling well that day and couldn't eat much. I started with crab salad! This is it, this is it! I can only eat this kind of junky sushi at a conveyor belt sushi place ❤️ And the great value three-piece set! Gunkan sushi with ikura, sea urchin, and negitoro! I was too eager and forgot to take photos of the above two dishes, what a blunder!! I also had my favorites like shrimp and tsubugai! Anago, maguro, shrimp avocado! Maybe due to my condition, I could only eat 12 plates. I finished with sweet potato dessert. I couldn't even reach 20 plates, let alone 15 plates. My appetite was just not there!!

It's the last day of the March three-day weekend, and the weather is warm and sunny, with the cherry blossoms starting to bloom. We spent the day taking pictures of the cherry blossoms with my husband's car in Roppongi and Zojoji Temple. Afterward, we went to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant for lunch. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, possibly due to the influence of the coronavirus. We enjoyed various dishes, including miso soup, potato fries, and others. The shrimp avocado sushi was particularly delicious. We always come to this conveyor belt sushi restaurant whenever we have the Sukiya stockholder benefits. It's a convenient and satisfying meal.

I love conveyor belt sushi. I also enjoy unusual sushi creations. While it's true that sometimes cheap sushi can lead to regrets, this chain might not offer the cheapest sushi around. I was disappointed by the poor service at one location during my first visit, but it seems to have improved lately. I prefer to eat at places where I can feel at ease. Even if the quality is slightly higher, I find it acceptable at conveyor belt sushi restaurants. I always end up eating a lot more than I intended, maybe because I'm Japanese (laughs). The sushi here is handcrafted, not made by robots, so it's delicious. While I enjoy the sushi going around on the conveyor belt, it's not too dry. I ordered various items like fresh shirasu, seared scallops, and a shellfish assortment. The shellfish, including the delicious Hokkaido scallops, satisfied even a local like me. Another fun part of conveyor belt sushi is the dessert. I had an enjoyable strawberry sundae with cream that was surprisingly delicious. After finishing my meal and feeling stuffed, I headed home. Conveyor belt sushi has really improved in terms of satisfaction. The initial negative impression is no longer relevant. Thank you for the meal!

Recently, my favorite conveyor belt sushi chain is this one. It may be relatively high-priced compared to other conveyor belt sushi restaurants. The prices of the plates vary, and I feel like the quality of the ingredients matches the cost. What's more, the sushi is hand-pressed, and you can see the marks on the rice. Nowadays, in conveyor belt sushi restaurants, you have to put wasabi on the sushi yourself, which can be quite unpleasant. Lately, I've been eating the sushi without squeezing the soy sauce between the fish and the rice, like wrapping it in a piece of paper. It's nice that they still keep the traditional way of serving sushi. On this day, I didn't touch the unconventional types of sushi.

When it comes to New Year, it's all about osechi and sushi! So, I headed to the familiar fish market street. Since it's New Year, even during lunchtime it was less crowded than usual. The staff are always energetic and have great communication skills. They always recommend what's delicious from where. Today, they said the tuna from Oma is really good. I had some New Year-themed sushi like medium fatty tuna, simmered conger eel, sea urchin, salmon roe, and kombu with herring roe. Among the revolving sushi places, this place is really fresh and delicious. The simmered conger eel was soft and tasty. Today, in the spirit of New Year, I also had some steamed crab. It was packed full of crab meat and plenty of crab miso. It was a bit pricey at 1880 yen, but it was worth it to experience the New Year atmosphere haha. Oh, by the way, the fried chicken at the fish market street is actually one of their recommended side dishes. Thank you for the meal.

As usual, I used the Skylark stockholder benefits. Plus, we used a 10% discount coupon from my husband's JAF membership. This time, it was a Hokkaido Fair. They had dishes like kinmedai (690 yen! Expensive!), sanma, autumn salmon, as well as iwashi, aji, grilled mackerel, eggs, grilled tuna, and salmon. I thought kinmedai was similar to golden eye snapper, but it turns out they are different. Kinmedai seems to be more expensive. We managed to get in right when they opened, so we could enjoy our meal without waiting. With both of us using discount coupons, we paid around 4000 yen, deducting the 3000 yen from the stockholder benefits. Next time I get stockholder benefits, I'll definitely go again! By the way, I heard on the Sunday evening news that pagers will be discontinued tomorrow. I lived through the peak of the pager era, but in high school, I was ranked 401 out of 410 students in a school-wide academic test (I was considered a poor student, only my parents worried about my grades). My parents told me, "There's no way we'll give a pager to a student with such bad grades like you," so I couldn't have a pager. When I finally got one in college, the era had already shifted to cell phones. It's like the pagers stopped ringing for me... Bitter memories of pagers... It's ending, huh...

I had always wanted to try the fresh shirasu seafood bowl at the revolving sushi restaurant "Uoya Michi" in the Skylark Group. It is only available for lunch on weekdays, so it was a bit challenging to make it happen. Finally, I got the chance to try it. In Kamakura, a fresh shirasu bowl would cost around 1500 yen, so the cost performance here is good. Although it may not compare to the average fresh shirasu bowl in Kamakura, it is still recommended at 1120 yen (excluding tax). I also ordered the "Special Lunch" which is also only available on weekdays. It comes with an anago nigiri similar to "Sushizanmai" found in Yugao Station, but with the addition of salad and chawanmushi, making it a better deal at Uoya Michi. The dishes here range from 120 yen to 480 yen per plate, so it is in a different category from the famous 100 yen chain restaurants. The quality of the sushi in the Special Lunch was almost the same as "Sushizanmai." The three-piece nigiri for 360 yen is comparable to the 100 yen per piece nigiri at Sushizanmai, making the evening prices similar. However, the dessert selection is impressive. The black sugar jelly was unexpectedly delicious with a chewy texture. The items on the conveyor belt were at room temperature, but the additional items we ordered were chilled and tasted better, so I recommend ordering separately. The soft-serve ice cream is from Sujata, so the price of 260 yen is reasonable, and the drink bar is 160 yen. They also have parking. It would be great if Uoya Michi also offered a Saturday lunch menu like Volks and Sushizanmai. It's a nice place to bring your family for a small celebration, which may be a bit challenging at 100 yen chain restaurants.

I finally went to a revolving sushi restaurant from the Kura Sushi Group that I had been wanting to visit. The prices vary depending on the color of the plates, and while I'm used to the 108 yen uniform price, I understand that having different prices for different types of sushi is more reasonable. The Kura Sushi Group is really working hard! I was willing to pay a bit more for better quality sushi. I tried the scallop for 310 yen, which was thick and satisfying, but the bluefin tuna toro for 310 yen was disappointingly thin and small, not at all like the menu photo. The steamed crab sushi for 310 yen was delicious, with a mix of flavors on top of a bed of rice, including white grilled conger eel, rolled omelette, and shredded crab meat. It was served in a hot pot and was one of my favorite dishes. However, the crab ankake steamed rice dish was a letdown, as the crab was scarce and the consistency of the sauce was off. Overall, the meal was enjoyable, but at 5000 yen for two people, I felt that I could have been more satisfied at a different restaurant for the same price. I now know what to order next time to make the most of my experience.

After a bullet train trip to Kyoto, we stopped by a rotating sushi restaurant called "Uoyaro" to satisfy our hunger. With my wife Maru, and daughters Lilly and Chaki, we enjoyed sharing various dishes. Oh, it was delicious! (๑´ڡ`๑)
