I quickly looked at the menu! They have a service lunch until 3:00 pm on weekdays, with 8 set meal options priced at 780 yen, which is quite reasonable. Last time, I had the "Chicken Nanban Teishoku", so this time I ordered grilled fish verbally! - Grilled Mackerel Set Meal 780 yen - Miso Soup → Changed to Tonjiru (small) 130 yen + 130 yen for changing to tonjiru (^_^) While waiting, I noticed that there was self-service seasoned seaweed and furikake in the center of the restaurant, and also pickled kombu and daikon were free-flowing, which was a nice service♪ I prepared everything properly w The set meal consisted of half a grilled mackerel, tamagoyaki (rolled omelette), zaru tofu, small side dish (pickled daikon), rice, and tonjiru. In 2021, they won the Eatery Teishoku Top 100 award along with their main store in Kagurazaka! Other affiliated stores include Uoshio of the seafood restaurant, Shioda B of the cafeteria, and Chubei of the udon restaurant. I arrived at the restaurant before noon, and the place was almost full except for a few seats at the counter! A line formed after I sat down. There is a special lunch service on weekdays that is a great deal compared to the regular menu! I had been thinking of trying it on a weekday, and this visit was my first time. For my first visit, I ordered the Chicken Nanban Teishoku with a small serving of miso soup upgraded to Nikomi (small)! It arrived in about 10 minutes, and I got a variety of pickles for free. The Chicken Nanban had three pieces of tender chicken thigh with a sweet and sour vinegar marinade and plenty of tartar sauce! The juicy and tender chicken thigh was delicious, and the portion size was just right for easy eating. Next, I tried the Nikomi! Despite being a small portion, it was generous, with layers of beef on top of a large piece of fried tofu. The ginger flavor was strong, but the aftertaste was sweet and delicious! I really liked it! I should have gotten the large size. This dish is also a specialty at the Kagurawappa store and is featured as a main dish! I also had okra and zaru tofu in the side dishes, along with pickled kombu, which balanced out the meal nicely. It was truly a restaurant worthy of being called the "Teishoku Department Store". This high-class teishokuya restaurant is part of the popular Tanakatan series, so the prices are on the higher side for a teishokuya. It usually costs over 1000 yen, but the food is delicious so I keep going back. You can have unlimited rice refills. The ham katsu and tonkatsu have a crispy coating that goes well with the sauce. It seems like they no longer have ham katsu, which is a shame because I really liked it.

The set meals at this chain are really delicious everywhere! I went to Wappa Shokudo after a long time. They have set meals where you can choose your side dishes, but today I had the Nikusui set meal. I opted for the small size because the Nikusui portion is quite generous. Even so, my stomach was full. You can have unlimited rice and pickles. The flavor of Nikusui is a bit strong, but it has that Kyushu vibe.

I was undecided on the menu, but I ended up ordering the pork miso soup lunch! It was packed with vegetables and very nutritious (^ ^) I could have seconds of rice, so I left satisfied. When you want to eat something nutritious, this is the place to go! There are quite a few tourists.

I have been eating in search of a well-balanced diet. On my second visit, I ordered the Hakata specialty set meal for 1280 yen. It was a bit pricey, but it had a variety of ingredients and I was satisfied. The karashi takana (mustard leaf pickles) had a punch in a small amount. Highly recommended!

I wanted to eat a set meal for lunch even on my day off. Following the habit ingrained in me as a salaryman, I went to Wappa Teishokudou in Fukuoka Tenjin to eat a delicious lunch set. I visited right when they opened at 11:30, but it was already full. I quickly ordered the Hakata Teishoku and changed the miso soup to meat suki. First, I went to get pickles, seaweed, and furikake, fully prepared. In about 5 minutes, it arrived - simmered dish, cold tofu, mentaiko, takana, and a side dish of spinach and bean sprouts ohitashi, and the meat suki! Truly a Hakata Teishoku! Rice is free refill, but of course, I need more rice! I left fully satisfied and full, I'll definitely come back again!

I sat at the counter seat at the back of the restaurant. It was crowded and more customers kept coming in. I was lucky with the timing. I was quite hungry, so I ordered the luxurious set meal with lots of side dishes. I chose the 2-item set (grilled salmon with salt, 3 pieces of fried chicken) for 1450 yen. I changed the miso soup to a small portion of meat soup for 320 yen. I added natto for 180 yen and mentaiko for 180 yen. The total came to 2130 yen including tax. Everything was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the meat soup with lots of meat. The fried chicken came with shredded cabbage and the Tanakada dressing on the table was delicious. It was a very satisfying set meal. I love set meal restaurants, so I look forward to trying various set meal restaurants in Fukuoka. Thank you for the meal.

It's easy to enter even if you're dining alone, and you'll see some office workers stopping by after work. I ordered the popular pork miso soup set meal. The miso soup warmed both my body and soul, and it came with salted mackerel, cold tofu, side dishes, as well as kelp and pickles provided for free. The rice went well with everything, and I was completely satisfied with the meal. The prices are also reasonable considering the location in Tenjin.
