Dining Out Edition - Attracted by the photo of red squid, I headed to Fuji Soba - Red Squid Tempura Soba @ Fuji Soba/Uguisudani
This is a story from a little while ago, but for lunch on 1/26 (Sun), I went to this restaurant. It's "Meidai Fuji Soba" in Uguisudani. I originally planned to go to a different restaurant, but I changed my plans quickly after seeing the photo outside the store. That photo is here. The newly released Red Squid Tempura Soba. As a squid lover and a red ginger tempura lover, I couldn't miss it. The Red Squid Tempura Soba appeared right away. It looks similar to the regular red ginger tempura soba. I sprinkled plenty of shichimi pepper and I'm ready. Soba just has to have shichimi, right? First, the broth. Slurp, slurp, slurp. Mmm, delicious! Of course, the broth is Kanto-style, the soba broth has to be like this. Next, the noodles. Slurp, slurp, slurp. Mmm, delicious! The noodles, which are the pride of the store's in-house boiling, have a different taste from the soggy boiled noodles. Red squid tempura. When I take a bite, I can taste the flavor of squid. Wakame seaweed. I'll gladly eat it since I have high blood pressure. Chopped green onions. This is doing a really good job. The generous portion is also nice. I tried peeling off the batter, and there were a few pieces of sliced squid in the center. In addition to that, there were 2-3 pieces of chopped squid legs. I slurped and slurped, and finished it all in one go. Phew, I ate it all. With this taste and portion size at this price, the cost performance is satisfactory. I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. The end.
From January 2011 to this day, the number of meals eaten out (breakfast and lunch only, excluding the company cafeteria): 1,208 meals, average price: 466 yen per meal including tax.
