When I went to Tully's, it was full, and I was in trouble. I hadn't thought about protection, so I started looking around in a hurry. I saw a sign for Tsukiji Honganji Temple, and I thought it would be further away, but it was surprisingly close. I secured a seat at a nice cafe and then ordered at the counter. They brought it to my table. It's delicious.

I have started my personal Instagram account! Please feel free to ask me any questions there! @diaryna_3
A new branch of Tsukiji Honganji Temple has opened in Tsukishima!
- Date: 6/18 (Sun)
- Crowd: I went for lunch and it was always full, with some people waiting in line. The seating is limited, so it's recommended to go early!
- Menu:
- Buddha Bowl with 18 ingredients: It's a bowl of rice with various ingredients like hijiki, lotus root, okra, each with distinct flavors and textures. It's fun to eat as the taste changes with each bite.
- Bibimbap with soy meat: A vegan dish! It was made with soy meat, but there was no strong soy taste. The texture was meat-like, the flavor was close to meat (like yakiniku sauce), and it was very delicious. It went well with rice. Thank you for the meal!

I visited after eating monjayaki for a break. I ordered the recommended tea from the shop. I forgot the name, but it was delicious tea that you could drink a lot of. However, I don't really understand the difference in tea flavors, so I feel a bit sorry. My partner's hojicha latte was also delicious. The shop isn't very spacious, but we were able to relax.

The matcha terrine was very rich and delicious. I'm thinking of getting some for takeout next time I visit Tsukishima. I'm interested in trying the mitarashi chiffon cake and matcha daifuku, so I'd like to come back again.

Today's lunch adventure took me to the area around Tsukishima Station. I exited from exit 7 of the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line Tsukishima Station and found myself on Tsukishima Monja Street (Tsukishima Nishi-Nakadori). Turning right at the first crossroads, I came across the "Tsukiji Honganji Temple Cafe Tsumugi Hanare Tsukishima Branch." I entered the cafe around 1:50 PM on a weekday.
Upon entering, I noticed that the cafe operates on a system where you place your order at the counter. I checked the menu displayed on the counter and found options such as Buddha Bowls and cakes. I asked the male staff member for recommendations, and he suggested the "18-Ingredient Buddha Bowl" along with the "Azuki Bean & Hojicha Herbal Tea." I decided to go with his recommendation and placed my order.
After paying at the counter, I found a vacant table and waited for my order. The cafe had a few other customers, including a group of three women, a couple, and two individuals. My order arrived after a short wait, consisting of the 18-Ingredient Buddha Bowl and the Azuki Bean & Hojicha Herbal Tea.
The Buddha Bowl was filled with a variety of ingredients from local and nationwide sources, including bonito flakes, grilled seaweed, salted salmon, sweet kelp simmered in soy sauce, and more. I savored each ingredient individually before mixing them together. The bowl also came with a side of miso soup.
After finishing the Buddha Bowl, I enjoyed the subtle flavors of the Azuki Bean & Hojicha Herbal Tea. The roasted green tea aroma was delightful. Overall, the quality of the ingredients and the cozy atmosphere of the cafe made for a satisfying lunch experience.

In September, a Tsukiji Honganji Temple Cafe opened on Tsukishima. I finally went there for lunch with a friend. I had the "Moon-viewing Avocado and Natto Buddha Bowl" which was delicious with a refreshing red cabbage and beet salad, lotus root and chicken plum dressing. I chose the Japanese red tea "Benifuki" as my drink. My friend ordered the "Balanced Buddha Bowl with 30 ingredients" which also looked delicious. Thank you for the meal.

From Tsukiji Honganji Temple to Hanare in front of Tsukishima Station. I was eagerly waiting for it to open, and before I knew it, it was open. You can enjoy Japanese tea and delicious daifuku at this cozy Japanese teahouse. While they don't offer the famous 18-item breakfast (rice porridge) from the main store, you can try their original 18-item Buddha Bowl. The various Buddha Bowls are vibrant and eye-catching. For dessert, they have sweet treats like sweet potato brulee (exquisite) and daifuku. Tsukishima, which has become lively due to urban development, is starting to offer more choices beyond monjayaki, and it will be interesting to see how the townscape evolves. With a calm interior and a casual atmosphere for a Japanese-style cafe, I think the number of customers will continue to increase. Thank you for the meal. I would like to visit again.

With the reconstruction of the Tsukishima branch of Tsukiji Honganji Temple, a cafe has also opened. They serve tea, sweets, and healthy Buddha bowls. The seating is limited, so it may be difficult to secure a seat during lunchtime. There are five types of Buddha bowls available, and I chose the avocado and natto bowl. It comes with a drink for 350 yen, making it a healthy option with plenty of ingredients. Personally, I wish they offered larger rice portions or additional toppings. It's great that you can enjoy a variety of flavors with the toppings on top. I would definitely like to come back. Thank you for the meal.

This building, located at the entrance of Monja Street in Tsukishima, has just been completed. It is a branch of the popular main store inside the Tsukiji Honganji Temple. Although it has only recently opened, it is always packed due to its limited seating. I finally had the chance to dine in and enjoy the 18-item Buddha Bowl set, which consists of a variety of ingredients from local Tsukiji eggs to produce from across the country. Each item is carefully prepared, but when mixed together, it resembles a Sri Lankan one-plate curry. The menu also includes other Buddha Bowl variations. The name "Buddha Bowl" supposedly comes from the resemblance of the dish to Buddha's belly. The restaurant also offers a wide selection of teas, including a set with salted bean daifuku. Overall, it is a unique dining experience at a place that specializes in Buddha Bowls and Japanese tea.

I ordered an 18-item Buddha bowl for takeout. When I placed my order, I made sure that it did not contain any meat, but it turned out to have lotus root and chicken mixed in. Additionally, it did not come with miso soup and seaweed, so I realized that it only had 16 items after returning home. I was looking forward to it, so I was very disappointed.

Lunch with my aunt at the nearby Tsukiji Honganji Cafe. I chose the "Balanced Buddha Bowl" with 30 different items because my friend had it last time and it looked delicious. It was refreshing and perfect for summer. Thank you for the meal.

This is not a cafe where you can relax. I ordered the Buddha Bowl with a drink set. Points of concern: - The staff's guidance was mechanical and spoken quickly, making it hard to understand. Since the clientele seemed to be older, a more leisurely and polite service would be appreciated. - There were both female and male staff, but the female staff talked a lot to the male staff, making the atmosphere noisy. It would have been better if the service was consistent in tone and manner, rather than being expressionless and suddenly smiling when talking to the male staff. - The food was served very quickly, but the explanations were rushed, giving a sense of being hurried and not able to fully enjoy the meal. - The miso soup was plentiful but seemed thin. When ordering the miso soup and drink set, it felt like there was about 500ml of liquid. While I was full, there was a lack of satisfaction. - The table layout and height did not seem conducive for lingering, so it was disappointing as a cafe space. It did not feel like a space worth the lunch set price of around 1700 yen. I visited on a holiday, and since the website mentioned a lunch set, I tried to order it, but was told there was no lunch set available. I later found out it was "weekday only" through research. It would have been helpful if they had mentioned "weekday only" during the explanation. Those planning to visit should not have high expectations.

I always go to Tsukiji, but it's always crowded so I came to the branch. Even though I'm in a wheelchair, they took good care of me. Thank you for the relaxing tea and mitarashi chiffon.
