Upon entering, I realized that the entrance was actually on the street where Yamano Beauty School is located. I visited for breakfast on a weekday, and there was only one register open with about 6-8 people in line. I used the official app for mobile ordering, which allowed me to bypass the customers waiting to order and pay. While it was convenient to save time, I felt a bit sorry for the other customers. It would be helpful if they installed self-ordering touch screen kiosks in some parts of the store. I ordered the Sausage Egg McMuffin set (470 yen, discounted to 420 yen with the official app coupon). The mobile ordering option was missing orange juice and vegetable life, so I was given an apple juice pack instead. The muffin was soft, and the rosemary aroma of the sausage patty gave it a different taste from the menu available later in the day. I enjoy the breakfast-like feeling of the meal. The hash browns were also enjoyable, and I prefer them over French fries. They are easy to eat in one bite, making them perfect for a quick morning meal. While mobile ordering is convenient, I hope they can improve to reduce the wait time for customers who order in-store. The option to have your order brought to your table through mobile ordering is available, but I feel uncomfortable doing this when there are few staff members. It is a helpful service for families with children or those with mobility issues, but I believe it may deviate from the essence of fast food if everyone chooses this option. It seems to work fine now with people using common sense, but I hope McDonald's can find a balance between affordability and service.

I came to try the new Gracoro that was released today after learning about it in the morning. The Gracoro consists of gratin croquette on top, cabbage, and egg sauce. The croquette is creamy with shrimp and macaroni inside, and the crispy outer layer is just right. The double creaminess of the egg sauce and gratin is delicious. The seating is only on the first floor with a decent number of seats, so it tends to get crowded on holidays. The layout leading to the register is spacious, giving a good impression of the place. I'm not sure if there is Wi-Fi available, but it always seems to be unreliable and doesn't connect. I ordered a McFlurry and an iced coffee, and relaxed for a while.

The second store was in Yoyogi, opening just 4 days after the first store. I recently visited the Yoyogi store and tried their special Zaku-cut potato & Beef Jalapeno Mayo burger for ¥440. It was a heavy and flavorful burger with a unique combination of Hawaiian BBQ sauce and Jalapeno Mayo sauce. Overall, it was a satisfying meal for those with a big appetite.

I tried the Samurai Mac. The seared soy sauce-flavored bacon tomato beef is quite strong in sauce flavor. The sweet and sour sauce taste is too overpowering, making it unbalanced with the other ingredients. It leaves a dry feeling in the throat. It has a decent portion size. Well, it's just okay, I guess...⁉︎

It's named after Setouchi Lemon Tartar, but it didn't really have a lemon flavor... Hmm, I still prefer the regular ones. After finishing our first visit of the year to Meiji Shrine, I said goodbye to my daughter and we decided to have some tea at the McDonald's in Yoyogi. This McDonald's holds many memories for me as I worked part-time here during my four years of college. Back then, for lunch, it was a ritual to go to the now-closed "Soltana," and then end up here for a "SorMac." When short on time, we would grab a quick soba at the also now-closed "Umemoto" below the Yoyogi Seminar No.2 building, and then head to the "UmeMac." During spring, while working in the office, we would have a lunch from "Hokka Hokka Tei" and then come here for a "HokkaMac." This place was more of a drinking spot for us than a dining spot, but entering after over 30 years, I noticed the modern addition of acrylic boards and the completely changed layout of the store. The three of us enjoyed a hot coffee, and it seemed like the coffee tasted even better than before... It's interesting how even in places like this, you can feel the passage of time.

New Year. I returned from my hometown of Sendai to Yoyogi, but with nowhere open, McDonald's and Wendy's are still operating, amazing! I ordered the affordable Mac set, McNuggets, and coffee set. It only cost 500 yen, great value, so cheap! Inside, there is a spicy mustard sauce that goes perfectly with the chicken. However, there were many foreigners, and the service was a bit slow, which was disappointing.

It goes without saying that McDonald's french fries are well-known. This time, I used a 500 yen discount coupon for ubereats and ordered a Junior Big Mac along with an iced coffee. It had been a while since I had them, just like pizza. The taste was as expected (I used to be thrilled with the 60 yen hamburgers in my student days, I wonder how the taste has changed? I think my taste buds have changed though, haha). What made me happy this time was that I could choose any size of fries for only 150 yen.

I love the lunch set from 11:00-14:00 on weekdays, which includes a double cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, and a drink. Every time I go, I would order this set (laughs). I'm thinking of trying a different menu soon, so if anyone has any favorite menu recommendations, I would be happy to hear them!
