Casual lunch in Tamachi on a regular day. In a rush, so decided to go to Wakasushi near the station. It's located on the basement 1st floor of Tamachi Center Building. Entered around 1 PM. The seating was about 30-40% filled. Ordered the bamboo sushi set for 1.5 people, which came with miso soup. The sushi rice was quite generous, making me feel quite full. The medium fatty tuna was delicious, but the rest was just average. They served the cucumber rolls 1.5 times the usual portion for the 1.5 people set, which seemed unnecessary.

I had lunch at Matsunoya. The tuna and fatty tuna were very delicious, but the rice was a bit mushy and not great. However, the fish was really tasty. Maybe the sashimi would be better. The location is great, it's in the basement of a building in front of Tamachi Station.

I was torn between ordering the long-awaited Wakazushi nigiri or the Chirashi, but I ended up choosing the Chirashi. The miso soup had a gentle and delicious flavor.

I received a flyer for a sushi restaurant. They offer cheap prices and they also pre-season the soy sauce with wasabi, which is very kind. ^_^

I visited for a business lunch. I'm not sure about the price, but the sushi is delicious. As others have mentioned, the pieces are quite large, which can be overwhelming in the mouth. A woman dining with me struggled to eat a piece in one bite.

Sashimi set meal with extra large portion of rice for 945 yen. The sashimi is delicious with a good amount of fat. The tea and miso soup were hot until the end. Great restaurant.

Visited on February 28, 2018 (Wednesday) around 12:15 PM. The restaurant is located on the basement floor of the Piatto dining area, between JR Tamachi Station and Toei Subway Mita Station. It is a 1-2 minute walk from either station. Upon entering, there were table seats in the front, with 1 table for 2 people and 3 tables for 4 people. To the left of the entrance, there was a unique counter seating area with 8 seats. Inside the counter area, the head chef was busy making sushi. There seemed to be someone at the washing area, with a total of 4 staff members including the head chef, a young chef, and a female server. At the time of my review, the restaurant had 8 reviews with an average rating of 3.01 (nighttime: 3.01, daytime: 3.02). There were around 12 customers already seated and about 10 customers waiting. Surprisingly, a reservation arrived at 12:30 PM, ordering sushi ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 yen, possibly for business entertainment. As a solo diner, I was seated at the available counter seats. I made a simple order of the cheapest option, the "Chirashi Bowl for 840 yen (tax included)". The bowl included tuna, salmon, squid, octopus, shrimp, fish cake, tamagoyaki, salmon flakes, and cucumber toppings on vinegar rice. The portion of rice was average, and I thought a larger portion might be better for young businessmen. The bowl didn't showcase expensive cuts of fish, but for 840 yen including tax, it was acceptable. The miso soup had plenty of seaweed. I wished there were chopped green onions or tofu, but that might increase the price to over 1,000 yen. During my meal, the phone at the restaurant rang. The young chef was called to help urgently at the first-floor curry shop "Izumi" run by the head chef's wife. However, the young chef declined, causing a brief disagreement between the chefs. After finishing my meal, I visited the curry shop and saw the head chef's wife managing alone, while the young chef returned to the sushi restaurant. Regular customers were ordering beer, and the head chef politely asked for their patience due to the busy lunch rush. Despite being a sushi restaurant established in 1947, it seemed to have a lot of regular customers. The tea and miso soup were served hot. While the restaurant operated normally for a personal business, the busy lunchtime made it a bit chaotic. The sushi seemed pretty average despite the high number of customers. I wanted to try the nigiri sushi, but seeing the cheapest option at 1,050 yen, I felt a bit disappointed. The total bill for the day was 840 yen. Thank you for the meal.

[Overall Impression] Located on the basement floor of a station building. I visited for lunch and it wasn't too crowded around 1 pm, so I could smoothly enter the restaurant. I ordered the lunch sushi set "Ume," which comes with 6 pieces of sushi and a cucumber roll with miso soup. The cucumber roll and miso soup were delicious. The sushi pieces were quite large. The "Ume" set includes 6 pieces, which was filling. Going for a higher-priced set might be too much in terms of quantity. [Taste] The sushi was decent, neither outstanding nor disappointing. [Atmosphere] The atmosphere is calm, but the counter seats are a bit close to the sushi chefs. [Cost Performance] The "Ume" lunch set costs 1050 yen. Going for a higher set would be 1500 yen. In terms of cost performance, the "Ume" set is reasonably good value for money.

Visited on November 25, 2016 for lunch with a friend from a different company in the same building. We went to Wakasushi in the Tamachi Apita. I had the sashimi set meal with tuna and sea bream. The tuna was delicious, making me feel like having a drink while eating. I saw some delicious red clams in the case and asked the chef how much they were. He said they were expensive and I shouldn't eat them. I persisted and asked if they were around 1500 yen, to which he said they were cheaper. I guessed 1000 yen, but he finally revealed they were only 500 yen. I also added some scallops for 300 yen. They were thick and delicious. I was surprised by how tasty the tuna was. Next time, I'll try their sushi.

I went for a stroll in Tamachi looking for lunch and stumbled upon a sushi restaurant in Tamachi Center Building Piatto that I hadn't explored before. I ordered the bara chirashi (1050 yen) and soon enough, the dish arrived. It was a mix of tuna, salmon, squid, octopus, scallop, fish cake, cucumber, tamagoyaki, and more, all scattered in the bowl. It came with miso soup with seaweed. It was fun to dig into the bowl and discover what was hidden inside, and it was quite delicious. Thank you for having me.

I stopped by alone on my way home from work in Tamachi. I visited at 5:00 PM, so I was the first customer! I sat at the counter and was greeted by G-chan, who had a smile on her face and a sense of humor. I started with a bottle of Asahi beer and an omakase sushi set. The sushi was served in pairs, slightly larger than usual. They told me, "We'll keep serving until you're full, so just let us know when you've had enough." Suddenly, a fatty tuna appeared! The taste was like a typical local sushi restaurant... After a while, the sushi stopped coming and they brought out a roll, then stopped serving sushi completely. I added another beer and placed an order... But before I knew it, the counter was full of regular customers! The owner even had his grandchild there, and he had a calm demeanor. It seems the regulars are drawn to his personality. Two beers, plenty of large sushi pieces, and the total was 7,080 yen! Cheap! However, compared to places like Manten Sushi, I might find it a bit challenging to visit again at night... If I have the chance, I would like to use this place occasionally!

Located in the Tamachi Center Building directly connected to Mita Station, this sushi restaurant is tucked away underground. Upon entering, you'll find table seating to the right and a counter to the left. The tables are a bit cramped, making it a challenge for four adults to comfortably sit. I visited during lunchtime, just before noon, and there were still seats available, but by noon the place was packed, indicating its popularity. The lunch menu offers various options priced around 1000 yen. I decided to try the recommended bara chirashi bowl. The bowl arrived with a decent portion size, topped with a variety of chopped ingredients on seasoned rice. While there were typical toppings like tamagoyaki and kamaboko, I was pleasantly surprised to find anago, tako, and ebi scattered throughout. Even the geso made a subtle appearance towards the end. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch experience. Despite its unassuming exterior, this restaurant left a lasting impression.

For a solo lunch, I visited "Wakasushi" on the 1st floor of Tamachi Center Building, which had just opened. I was the only customer at the time. The restaurant seemed to be run by a family, and the waitress kindly led me to a table on the right side from the entrance, saying "Please use this table." I ordered the Bara Chirashi Donburi for 1000 yen, which came with miso soup with seaweed. The bowl was filled with a variety of toppings, including tuna, salmon, kombu, octopus, kamaboko, cucumber, tamagoyaki, squid, boiled squid legs, two types of scallops, gizzard shad, conger eel, and yellowtail, among others. It was a generous portion of toppings on a bed of sushi rice. The amount of vinegar rice was normal, but the toppings were so plentiful that it seemed like there was not enough rice. During lunchtime, a period drama was playing on the TV in the restaurant, creating a casual and welcoming atmosphere. The excitement of seeing the treasure trove of toppings was overwhelming. Overall, I enjoyed the Bara Chirashi Donburi, and I would rate my lunch satisfaction level as ★★★☆.
