I had heard about this place but never had a chance to visit until now. I tried the hot and sour soup noodles lunch set with almond jelly. There are four types of noodles to choose from: thick, medium, thin, and low-carb noodles (extra charge), and I chose thin noodles this time. The soup had a strong sour taste with moderate spiciness, enhanced by the shiitake mushroom broth which I personally enjoyed. The spiciness can be adjusted with the chili oil on the table. The chili oil on the table was also flavorful. The almond jelly was of a type I like and I enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal.

Today was a day with occasional rain. I had some errands in Shinbashi. During lunchtime, I stopped by this restaurant. I entered the store and was seated at the counter. I checked the menu and chose the "Negi Ramen" with the option of three types of noodles. I also ordered "Yangzhou noodles" and "Fried Gyoza." The food arrived promptly. The ramen had plenty of green onions, thinly sliced pork, and a boiled egg. The soup was light but flavorful. The noodles were medium thickness and had a nice chewy texture. The cooked green onions were soft and added a nice touch. Shortly after, the fried gyoza arrived. The filling was packed tightly and the soup inside burst out. I am full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Today's lunch was at a restaurant called "Yoshu Shonin" in Shinbashi. The atmosphere inside the restaurant felt authentic, almost like being in the actual place in China. The place seemed to have a long history, with the current owner being the fourth generation. I ordered the tantanmen with extra spicy. I'm not sure what the normal level of spiciness is, but even the extra spicy was delicious and manageable. There were two whole morning glory chili peppers in it, but it wasn't too spicy. Lastly, I had almond jelly for dessert.

I went to the Kanto-exclusive chain restaurant "Yoshu Shonin" that I've always wanted to visit. I ordered the popular No. 1 dish, Sanratanmen, and fried rice set. I also had a beer. The strong acidity of Sanratanmen really stimulates the appetite! The fried rice is also flavorful and delicious, making it easy to eat with chopsticks!

I visited during lunchtime on a weekday. I waited for about 10 minutes. I ordered the Tomatama? Ramen and Tantanmen. Both were delicious and to my liking! I also had the almond jelly for dessert as part of the lunch set. The restaurant seemed popular as it was quite crowded with customers. They are open late at night too, so it seems like a great place for a late-night ramen fix.

I was planning to come back to this restaurant again, but I didn't expect it to be so soon, even surprising myself. Today, I chose the shrimp wonton noodles that I was considering last time. I ordered the noodles with thin noodles cooked al dente. I also got a set with rice and half a gyoza. The shrimp was juicy and delicious.

There is a ramen shop in Shinbashi that is worth visiting on the way back from visiting a grave in Tokyo. The ramen is very delicious, but it would be even better if the soup was hotter. There is also a Trek bicycle shop and a Renoir cafe nearby, making it a nice location.

Sour and spicy Suratanmen is my favorite type of noodles, alongside tantanmen. In my opinion, they are different from ramen, and if I go to a restaurant that serves either of these, I never order any other type of noodles. Despite being a chain restaurant, Ajisen Ramen continues to reign at the top of the Suratanmen world for me. Whether it's for lunch or a late-night meal after drinking, I always crave Suratanmen suddenly. Ajisen offers two types of Suratanmen, regular and premium, but I prefer the regular one. I always choose thin noodles because they help the thick soup to cling better. While there may be slight differences between locations, Ajisen's Suratanmen is consistently delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Platto, today's dinner was a stroll around Shinbashi Station. Exiting the south ticket gate of JR Shinbashi Station, turn right, exit the Karasumori exit, cross the signal in front of you, with New Shinbashi Building on your right, walk along Karasumori Street until you reach a scramble intersection with a signal. Cross this intersection to the left, enter Yanagi Street, walk towards Hamamatsucho for a while, and on your immediate left after crossing the first crossroad, you will find the restaurant we visited today, "Chinese Ramen Yangzhou Shonin Shinbashi Branch". We entered the restaurant at 5:30 pm on a weekday. Upon entering, there were no other customers. A male staff member came out of the kitchen and said, "Please sit at any seat at the counter." I chose to sit at the counter seat at the far end by the window and checked the menu. The menu includes Premium Sura Tanmen, Sura Tanmen, Tan Tan Men, Curry Tan Tan Men, Yangzhou Rich Soy Ramen, Yangzhou Rich Salt Ramen, Black Vinegar Ramen, Vegetable Soba, etc. After asking for recommendations from the male staff, I ordered the recommended Sura Tanmen with Yangzhou noodles. The soup of Sura Tanmen had a tangy and spicy flavor with a complex aroma. The noodles were medium thick and had a chewy texture that paired well with the flavorful soup. The dish also included pork, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and green onions, creating a harmonious and delicious combination.

Located 5.6 minutes from JR Shinbashi Karasumori Exit, there is a restaurant called "Yangzhou Shangren" run by the fourth generation. They offer three types of noodles to choose from: To-kiri noodles, Yangzhou noodles (thick noodles), and Liu noodles (thin noodles). I wonder if the hot and sour soup noodles are recommended? Today, I had the hot and sour soup noodles and salt ramen. Both were delicious with a nice texture. I later noticed that they also offer a set with half-fried rice and dumplings. With a wide variety of menu options, it seems best to check beforehand to avoid confusion. It has become one of the restaurants I want to visit again.

He said, "The almond jelly of the Yangzhou merchants is the most delicious in the world," so I was curious and had him take me there. I ordered the Hoegaarden White Sour Tanmen because it was said to go well with it. The Spicy Sour Tanmen (with coriander topping) is a delicious dish with a good balance of spiciness and acidity, but it's not as spicy as the name suggests, so if you expect extreme spiciness, you may be disappointed. The spring rolls were filled generously and had a crispy skin, which was great. The Dreamy Truffle Xiao Long Bao was the biggest hit this time!! I'm thinking of visiting the restaurant again just for the Xiao Long Bao. The Dreamy Almond Jelly had a mild sweetness and was creamy with plenty of apricot kernels, which was also great!! The service was fast, so if you're on a business lunch or in a hurry, it's very convenient. If you want to enjoy your meal leisurely, it's best to order the next dish after finishing one. Thank you for reading until the end. Please feel free to follow my Instagram accounts: @516kizokuneko516 for dining out and @kizokuneko0516 for home-cooked meals.

The chain of Chinese ramen restaurants, Yangzhou Shangren Shinbashi store, shows significant variations in different outlets. As of August 21, 2023, the restaurant has a rating of 3.40 on Tabelog. After enjoying horse racing at Shinbashi and Wins Shiodome, we decided to have Chinese food at the Yangzhou Shangren Shinbashi store. It had been 6 years since our last visit. With affordable prices, you can enjoy Chinese cuisine here. The chain has 34 stores mainly in Tokyo and Kanagawa. While their specialty is ramen, they also offer various Chinese dishes as appetizers. The restaurant was founded in 1988, and the name comes from the founder's grandfather who was from Yangzhou, China. Although not directly from China, the family has a history of running Chinese restaurants in Japan, carrying on that tradition. The interior is small and lacks a relaxed atmosphere, making it less suitable for a leisurely gathering. We ordered dishes like garlic stir-fried greens, pan-fried dumplings, mapo tofu, sweet and sour pork, pickled bamboo shoots, Shanghai-style fried noodles, and stir-fried shrimp. The portions were small for sharing among four people, and the flavors were a bit too salty, becoming monotonous. While not bad, the food wasn't exceptional either, and the prices seemed higher than expected. Overall, the experience was average, and there were noticeable variations in taste among different outlets.

After a long time, I wandered around Shinbashi and revisited the Chinese ramen restaurant Yangzhou Shangren in Shinbashi. As always, the air conditioning was blasting cold in the summer, making it chilly at the counter seat where I settled in. I ordered their signature dish, the "Spicy Szechuan Tantanmen." The soup was sour, spicy, and had a thick texture, paired perfectly with the chewy knife-cut noodles. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Passing by the area, I was recommended to try this chain restaurant and it was really good. With such a wide variety of menu options, it can be overwhelming but the experience here was enjoyable. I'm sure the black vinegar fried rice is amazing, I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for a half portion. The fact that you can choose the type of noodles and add spiciness is really satisfying. I'm not a huge fan of hot and sour soup noodles, but the one here was delicious! Many places tend to lack depth in flavor, but this one was rich in taste. I think I'll try the salted wontons next time! I definitely want to come back!

Tokyo: I visited "Yangzhou Shonin" in Shinbashi for lunch. They offer a variety of ramen options for lunch, such as salt, soy sauce, sour and spicy soup noodles, and tantanmen. This time, I ordered tantanmen. You can choose the level of spiciness, and it had just the right amount of flavor! I also ordered half-fried rice, which was delicious as well! It had a crispy and traditional fried rice taste. They are open until 4:30 in the morning, which is fantastic. It's perfect for a late-night meal after drinking. Definitely recommended. #ShinbashiGourmet #ShinbashiTabelog #YangzhouShonin #YangzhouShoninShinbashi #ShinbashiRamen #Tabelog #Gourmet #JapaneseFood #TabelogSurfer #Eeeeeats #FoodPhotography #FoodPorn #Foodgasm #Foodie #Delish #ConnectWithFoodLovers #TokyoGourmet #FoodPorn #GourmetSurfer #GourmetInstagram Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo 4-10-1 SB Shinbashi Building

It is convenient that they are open late at night and on Sundays. The Spicy and Sour Soup Noodles (Sura-tanmen) have a strong spicy oil flavor, which might be a bit heavy to drink. The noodles are delicious. The fried rice is simple, fluffy, and tasty. The seasoning is not too strong.

I wanted to eat some refreshing soba noodles, so I wandered around Shinbashi at 8 in the morning. I heard they serve various breakfast ramen and porridge for only 500 yen. I didn't hesitate and ordered the soy sauce wonton ramen. It had a gentle flavor and the soup was so good that I kept drinking it. The portion was just right, and you can get 3 dumplings for only 80 yen! They open at 6 in the morning, so I've decided to come back here again.

Today is my day off from drinking, even though I was tempted by the drinking paradise of Shinbashi. I decided to have a dinner without alcohol. I was craving some Asian flavors, so I visited a restaurant that had caught my eye. They had their own app, so I downloaded it to get a discount. The tangy taste refreshed my tired body.

I felt like having ramen, so I went out late at night. This place has been in business for a long time, and the taste was solid, making me feel like I had delicious tantanmen after a long time. I was tempted to drink up the soup too. I will definitely visit again. The almond jelly was also delicious. Next time, I'll try the cold tantanmen.

I used to frequent a shop that was once in Suidobashi. I happened to find it when looking for a place to have lunch in Shinbashi during a Tokyo business trip. I had the hot and sour soup noodles and fried rice set, and it was as delicious as ever. I would be happy if they expanded their presence beyond the Tokyo metropolitan area.
