Takeout items are easy to forget to take photos of, haha. I don't plan on living my life centered around social media, but sometimes when I realize I forgot to take a photo, I feel like I'm being controlled by Tabelog (a popular restaurant review site in Japan), haha. Last month, I had a seasonal cake with big strawberries and plenty of whipped cream, and it was so delicious even though I forgot to take a photo. I wanted to eat it again, but when I went back, it was already sold out... I'll have to wait until next year. But the items I bought this time were also delicious, and I remembered to take photos this time, haha. On a Tuesday around 6 pm, many items were sold out in the showcase, but luckily the ones I checked the day before were still available, which was a relief.
- Fresh Fruit Cake ¥1100
- Chestnut Tart ¥880
The Fresh Fruit Cake had strawberries, melon, kiwi, orange, and blueberries, all topped with plenty of whipped cream. It felt like a luxurious shortcake with a perfect balance between the fruits and the cream. If a high-end fruit shop's cake using fruits is a 10, I would rate these fruits around a 7. But the sweetness and texture of the cream matched perfectly, making the overall cake a 10 for me personally. The balance between the deliciousness of the fruits and the cream was amazing. I kept saying "so delicious" so much that my wife laughed and asked me, "really?"
The Chestnut Tart had plenty of whipped cream with chocolate chips, all covered with chestnut paste. The combination of chocolate chips, chestnut paste with rum, and the tart was delicious. The chestnut flavor was slightly muted due to the chocolate chips, but it was still very tasty. My wife had the Chestnut Tart, and I had the Fresh Fruit Cake, so we both got what we liked and were very satisfied. Next time, I think I'll try the cheesecake. I'll go buy it again next week or the week after that, haha.
