JR Oimori Station's station building, "Atore Oimori," has a restaurant called Kyotaru on the first floor. Although the station building is called "Atore Oimori," the first floor and basement floor used to be "Tokyu Store," causing some confusion as some sites still refer to it as "Oimori Tokyu Store." Tokyu Store now operates as a tenant on the basement floor of Atore Oimori. The restaurant is a hybrid, combining Misaki Port for nigiri sushi and Kyotaru for pressed sushi. Both are operated by Kyotaru Co., Ltd., making this combination unique. If you're facing the restaurant, Misaki Port is on the right and Kyotaru is on the left. Kyotaru offers the familiar Kansai-style sushi, while Misaki Port serves nigiri sushi. I tried the Yurie set (800 yen), which includes Kyotaru's signature Chakin sushi, pressed sushi, and rolled sushi. The wrapping style of Chakin sushi has changed since autumn 2021, from being tied with kanpyo to being held together with a skewer. I used to struggle with biting through kanpyo as a child, but now I feel something is missing without it. The Chakin sushi has sesame mixed into the rice, giving it a citrusy aroma. It's a sophisticated taste for adults. The pressed sushi has a strong vinegar flavor, which I enjoy. Although it seems slightly smaller than before, it still has that delicious sushi taste, satisfying my cravings. The thick roll wrapped in slightly sweet Datemaki is a unique flavor that you can't find elsewhere. While the prices may seem a bit high, the individual flavors and meticulous preparation make it worth the cost. Kansai-style sushi offers a distinct taste that appeals more to adults. I hope they revert to the original wrapping style for Chakin sushi, but overall, Kyotaru offers a consistently delicious dining experience.

Shopping at Atre Oimori. I bought some thin rolls for my child to eat on the go. I purchased them from Kyoto Taru, a well-known takeout sushi place located next to Misaki Port. Personally, I was drawn to the Juroku sushi with futomaki and inari sushi, but I opted for natto maki and kanpyo maki for my child. The pack contained 1.5 rolls of thin rolls. My child enjoyed the natto maki and kanpyo maki, eating them quickly. It was a shop with a variety of easy-to-eat sushi options even when you're out and about!

They were having a half-price sale at the store closing time \(^-^)/ There weren't many items left because there were already a few people there (・・;) The seared salmon was so delicious and melted in my mouth (^∇^)
