I tried a collaboration curry at Katsukari Pan Shinjuku with Nakamuraya, and it was delicious! The curry was spicy and the meat was juicy and crispy. The bread was also crispy and tasty. It was very filling, with about three bites worth.

It was so hot and unbearable, but then I discovered Komeda Coffee Shop! As soon as I walked in, I realized it was crowded, about 80% full! I ordered an iced cafe au lait and found a seat with an outlet, so I could even work on my laptop. This place is great for remote work! I would love to use it for a break sometimes. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 2 pm on a weekday. The restaurant was a bit hard to find despite being close to the station. There were some customers, but I was able to sit down right away. The service was good as they came to take my order and brought the food promptly. I wanted to do some work, so I sat at the counter where there was a power outlet and plenty of space. I ordered the classic Shironoir, which was delicious as always, and I was satisfied with the dessert.

I arrived at the restaurant a little after 7 pm on a regular day, and before being seated, I was informed that the last order was at 7:30 pm and they would be closing at 8 pm. Apologetically, they mentioned that only drinks could be ordered at that time. Since it was raining and I didn't feel like looking for another place, I agreed to their terms. Although I couldn't stay for long, it was nice that the place was not crowded. I ordered an Ice Cocoa, which was delicious with overflowing vanilla ice cream in the glass (tax included 660 yen). There are Komeda's stores where you can upgrade to a large size for free with my company's welfare benefits, but unfortunately, this particular store was not eligible. While the service was not particularly bad, they did not offer water, and compared to other Komeda's stores, I found it slightly underwhelming. They allowed me to choose any seat, but I noticed that the Wi-Fi signal was weak at the secluded solo seat near the restroom. Even without streaming videos, the Wi-Fi was too slow for basic internet browsing, so I switched to my mobile data instead.

Around the vicinity of Takada Baba Station, there are many drinking establishments, so it can be difficult to find a place for tea after a meal. However, this place is a reliable option with a classic menu that you can trust. I started with a drink, but ended up regretting not ordering 1.5 times the amount. It's not that the portion is small, but if you want to relax a bit, ordering more is recommended.

I wish they would bring back items with red bean paste, but I didn't like the yuzu sauce. The female server placed the food on the table by throwing it down at the last moment, which startled me and made me inadvertently make eye contact with my companion. Without that, I would have rated the atmosphere a bit higher. The mini Mont Blanc was a bit lacking in soft serve, so I added extra soft serve and it was satisfying!

The bill was ¥620. It was just before 2 p.m. on a weekday in February, I think. I managed to find a seat at the counter, which always seems to be crowded. I tried the whipped cream croissant for the first time. Personally, I found it to be a bit too fluffy and not that great, so I probably won't come back for this. I ate quickly and left, and there were about 5 people waiting again. The waiter was an older man, but he was smiling and friendly, so the service was good. Thank you for the meal.

I came to eat Comeda's Napoli-style spaghetti because Tsuma said it's the best. It's a bit pricey even with the drink set discount, but the spaghetti with soft, thick noodles and tomato-flavored ketchup is really delicious. The soft thick noodles give a satisfying bite, and even though the portion may seem small, it's actually a proper meal. However, there's not a huge amount, so I'm tempted to order dessert as well. Amazing, Comeda provides just the right amount!

The Shironoir's White Lover (limited time) is bigger than I expected! The white chocolate sauce is sweet and I was able to finish the Danish without getting tired. The soft serve ice cream was also generously served. The Coffee Jelly is also large and has bananas in it, making it like a parfait. The Coffee Jelly itself is not very distinctive, but it was enjoyable as a cold dessert with a large amount of soft serve ice cream. The restaurant is spacious at the back, non-smoking, lively, and bright.

Komeda Coffee shop near Takadanobaba Station. I visited on a Sunday and it was always crowded. They offer a morning menu where you can order a drink along with your choice of bread (loaf bread or mountain toast) and one of the following options: A boiled egg, B homemade egg paste, C Komeda special sweet red bean paste, or S seasonal limited Yamanashi peach & plum jam. It was a great value for a morning meal.

I went to Komeda even though it's not easily accessible, because I wanted to try their limited menu. This time, I didn't opt for "well-done, whipped cream change," so it was probably my first time trying the standard shirone. It had chocolate sauce between the Danish layers. The tea came in a pot without tea leaves inside, so it stayed delicious and not too strong until the end. I wish all cafes across the country would do it this way.

I visited Komeda at Takadanobaba Station to wait for my friend to finish work. It's really convenient to be able to work on my laptop with a power source at Komeda. I've been going there a lot recently. The morning set and the evening set with complimentary snacks are both delicious! Personally, I highly recommend Komeda's coffee. I'm addicted to their unsweetened iced coffee with milk. I was able to charge my devices and spent about 40 minutes working on my laptop, making good use of my time. I'll definitely come back!

I visited the restaurant at 9 am on a rainy and chilly morning. For breakfast, you can choose from two types of bread and get a free drink. I had the blend coffee for 560 yen along with bread and eggs. It was a relaxing and soothing morning time.

On Saturday around 9:30 PM, it was dessert time after dinner! Despite the late hour, the restaurant was bustling and almost full. The seasonal limited edition "Milk Noir" was priced at 820 yen. It consisted of warm Danish bread topped with soft serve ice cream, condensed milk, and powdered sugar. The milky flavor was very sweet. In conclusion, it was not to my liking. The restaurant has a rating of 3.05 on Tabelog as of August 2022.

First time at Komeda on a Sunday around 1:30 pm, didn't have to wait long, maybe due to the rain. After some hesitation, I decided to order the Curry Cutlet Bread for 950 yen that I saw on the poster in front of the stairs. When asked if I wanted mustard, I requested it without. I heard that if you order coffee, bread comes with it, but it seems like that's only for mornings, so for lunch, you only get water and need to order other drinks separately. The portion was generous as rumored, but it seemed worth the price. I hadn't eaten breakfast, so I finished it all. The cutlet was delicious, but a bit fatty, so not the healthiest. The curry was a bit salty for my taste. As soon as I finished eating, my plate was taken away, so I deducted points for that. I like to savor the aftertaste a bit after eating, so I understand the desire to wash dishes and increase turnover, but it would be appreciated if they waited a bit longer. Payment was made at the register near the entrance, where electronic payments like WAON were accepted, but my balance wasn't enough, so I had to use PASMO for the transaction.

I watched a family member's game and then decided to have lunch here. I didn't choose the place, but it was crowded when I entered. I ordered a blend coffee for 630 yen, a beef bowl for 710 yen, and a mini Mont Blanc for 230 yen, totaling 1570 yen. The beef bowl and Mont Blanc were discounted, but still not cheap. The coffee had a roasted flavor. The beef bowl was difficult to eat without a fork. The taste was okay. The restaurant was small, crowded, and noisy. It felt like all the bad things about a café were combined here.

This morning, I decided to go to a cash payment store because I wanted to break a 10,000 yen bill into smaller bills. Surprisingly, I had a meaningful time there. The seating area was originally spacious with comfortable sofas and couches that were not too soft. The overall interior had a calming color scheme. I was also delighted to find out that they used butter instead of margarine for their toast, unlike some other places. The cafe latte I ordered was delicious as well. The customer service was very pleasant, and I had a relaxing start to my week. Thank you. *I just realized as I was paying, they accept various payment methods like PayPay. However, in other stores, you usually pay with the store's app, so it was a nice touch.

I used the cafe while waiting for time. Komeda Coffee Shop is known for being a cafe originating from Nagoya. So, I decided to try a Nagoya-like menu, which was the Azuki Komachi Aoi Ice and Honey Iced Coffee. Both are essentially sweets with coffee, with azuki beans in the former and honey in the latter. Both combinations are quite good. They are filling and provide a lot of satisfaction on their own. During the morning hours, if you order a drink, you can get a set with toast and boiled eggs for free, but I didn't go for that. The female customers in the high ratio seating area seem to be supporters of these sweets. As a male customer who wants to come back, I wonder if this subtle sweetness, different from sugar or syrup, could become addictive even for men?

Recently, the kids have been really into Komeda, so we revisited. The Komeda in Takadanobaba is less crowded than the one in Ikebukuro, even during lunchtime, so it's a favorite spot for the kids. It's like they're going for the Summer Juice, and then having lunch as well. And let me tell you, that Summer Juice is really delicious. It's not too sweet, so even adults can enjoy it. Personally, I think it's better to order this than coffee. I was shocked to find out that my favorite ankake pasta was no longer on the menu. Maybe it was a seasonal item... Anyway, thanks for the meal again!

I went with my daughter for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were prepared to wait in line since it was lunchtime, but luckily we were seated without having to wait. My daughter ordered the seasonal chestnut Shiro Noir and a summer drink. I ordered the pasta with sauce and an iced coffee. It was my first time trying pasta with sauce, and it had a nice spicy kick to it, which I enjoyed. I wish there was a bit more though, as I finished it quickly. My daughter mostly finished the regular-sized Shiro Noir on her own and seemed to really enjoy it. She was happy, and we had a satisfying lunch. The number of customers wasn't as crowded as in Ikebukuro, so I don't think we'll have to wait much in the future. Our go-to Komeda's Coffee shop will probably be the Takadanobaba branch from now on. Thank you for the meal!
